Azriel gave me the idea to use a very simple modding system in which modders can code using regular Javascript. If you know javascript, you'll be able to mod the game fairly easy if you know where to find stuff, how to overwrite stuff, etc.

As for mods that would create/overwrite existing dialogue.
I have to come up with the functions and variables the game uses to create a mock dialogue system.

Modders would then be able to create and overwrite any scene they want in the game code. I am going to get this completed tonight.

I'll also hopefully be finishing up an in game version of the coc2 save editor (which is essentially just a game editor). I'm ideally adding a way to create new characters in game, busts and all, create additional functions like making them recruitable, assigning them to stay at a specific location, then export the character info to code so you can create your own characters in game, then give them dialogue and events that trigger when you talk to them.

As far as assigning them to specific locations goes, there will be a location array. Above the wait option will be a people here button where you can click and find everybody you assigned to that specific location so you can talk to them.

After I'm finished that I'll create the dialogue system (shouldn't take too long tonight), back up my existing mods and port it to the new system hopefully.

As time goes on, I will expose folks to more of the games' functions and variables, allowing them to make mods of all sorts.

Then tomorrow hopefully you guys will be able to go crazy and do whatever you want with the game
The day has come. With enough autism, coc2 anons can finally dedick all the futas. And Savin can only watch the mass castration. :illuminati:

Hey everybody, I repurposed a modloader named KittyPatcher from Course of Tempation to Corruption of Champions 2, that makes modding this game easy, painless, and flexible. It works like a traditional game modding system where all mod files are put in a mod folder, a script is launched, and it mods the game for you. Me and Azriel are working on making it as update proof as possible (although it is already update proof for many mods you'd be making).

All mods released and developed for this game have been updated and integrated using KittyPatcher. So you can get all COC2 mods from one place using one easy method.

All Mods along with the Patcher are located here: Google Drive

I think the main point is to first make everything tonally consistent. You can instantly tell when a scene is written by Savin/Tobs/B/Wsan/etc. because the champ acts totally different depends on who's writing. And even then, you have scenes where the champ randomly acts like the main girl in a romance anime whenever there's a love confession. To suddenly be down to fuck anything with a pulse whenever there's a lead up to a sex scene.

Not even the NPCs are consistent. I remember Takahiro's introduction scene and Nakano randomly acts like the champ's old pal, and Bubblelord keeps writing Nakano like this. It's jarring to see him yuk it up in goofy sitcom shenanigans and then you step into his office and he's back to being a floofy racist.
I've always preferred the silent champ for that reason. Just convey the intent of what you're saying and that leaves room for the player to interpret it how they think their champion would say it.

As for NPCs, I dunno, they have no guideline or structure so that's gonna be a nightmare to fix.

Thts a 50/50 for me, I like the way Dragon Age Origins n Fallout NV handles it by giving you options for self expression. I find it weird when the character doesn't respond when someone is talking to them.

I mean, you are, you're just stating the intent of the words. That way you can fill in the blanks yourself.

I do prefer Origins and NV, too, though. No voice, just text.
