But somewhere in this thread should be a screenie. Where folks on the forums were saying that Cait was the deuteragonist. Which makes sense as to why she can pop up like a bad itch. Even if you abandoned her like you went for a pack of smokes. But there is no need for kinda. She was definitely meant to play that main waifu role.

I mean literally all they had to do was tone her down. She's promiscuous? So is a large chunk of the cast! But for some reason. They wanted to make her sluttery a spectacle. Some in a weird "ha ha funny, right guys???" type way. That the champ is inherently ok with. But she is obviously best girl in this world. It is the dirty players making.... choices! That deny her.

I mean there is the slut/queen harpy from Liliths Throne. She was 100% sluttier than Cait, and everytime you see her she has some dudes dick juice leaking out of her.

There was Zheniya the prostitute from Trials and Tainted Space, again, everytime time you meet with her outside of the mission, you see some dudes dick juice leaking out of her.

Those two characters were extremely promiscuous women done right. You knew they were sluts from the get go, and there were never any emotions in tact.

The game outright presents Cait as a romantic interest, you go through some shit with her, get vulnerable with her and she treats you like a genuine romantic interest.

Then she drops the line “Oh, and btw, don’t get any ideas, I’d spread my legs for anyone and everyone that wants me to.

I don’t think anybody would’ve hated her if she was a superslut side character who hung around the temple and had sex with anybody for free, or she had no bonding moments with the player, it’s the fact that she’s presented as the main romantic interest, then it’s revealed she’s just a slut.

Good thing that’s over for me though lol, now I can enjoy this game in all of it’s glory.

I literally did a series of posts on this a few big updates ago, prior to the Khor'Minos palace dance update, in which I did a fresh playthrough with never recruiting Cait, documenting everytime she got shoved into the story regardless of your actions.

My findings were that in the early content, she used to spring up a lot, almost became a jump-scare (I wanted to keep all her counters at 0, so every unwanted interaction I kept praying I saved recently). But by the time of Winter Wolf, she basically dropped off the face of the planet if you didn't recruit her. It's also about that time that Sav got very into trying to push his own minotaur girl to compete with Brienne, so I think on some level the audience apathy to dislike of Cait got to him.

Iirc, it was never "unmoddable" and more of Savin&Co intentionally sabotaging their own code, to make modding as annoying as possible.

There is no sabotaging the code, that's just how web-pack works.

Allowing mods involves a lot of additional work for the devs.

COC1 and TITS during flash had mods because the source code was available, which is the only thing we would need. (I do have a de-compiled TITS but I don't have all the configurations to build it or knowledge to set them up)

Any mods made with my modding tools is update proof as long as the dev doesn't mess with code (just like any other game). So you can have mods that will never need an update, and other mods that will need a little more updates, especially when modifying content that is still being worked on (just like any other game).

Checked your mods, all of them are going to break on game update. The Code ALWAYS changes on update:

1. The hashes on the files names get modified with each version (you can steal the code from my mod that strips them if you want).
2. The Variable and Function names are replaced to reduce file size, and these are not consistent across builds.

There are a multitude of problems with making complex mods (not just altering existing state), to lay out the basic ones

• The bundle sizes just completely destroy editor performance and code readability, someone would need to reverse the bundling or write their own implementation.
  You must be registered to see the links
• The games function and variable names are completely mangled, less problematic if the bundle issue is solved but still a significant roadblock (It is possible to dynamically replace some like the button index).

Sure, you aren’t married to her like you are with Kiyoko, but (unless you sic one of your companions on her) she seems pretty playersexual. Personally, I don’t give a crap about Etheryn herself, and I’ll never get in a relationship with her. In any case, isn’t the set precedent that anything with a cock in this game fucks everything that moves? Was there no other bedicked character you could get in a relationship with that sleeps around? I’m kind of surprised to hear people would have a problem with it on that end; I would’ve thought the people interested in a relationship with Etheryn to have a different disposition.

I agree with you here, though thruthfully, a character always being horny doesn’t mean they’re having sex with every single person that knocks on their door. And could actually very well mean they’re not having enough sex with other people, which is why they’re so thirsty and ready for spontaneous sex at any given moment when it comes to the champion.

Especially when the MC is canonically a sex demon. Girls irl will not have sex with other dudes when they have a dude that OVER satisfies them sexually + has a decent sized dick.

Combined with the fact that you still could be horny asf and still not have sex with anybody. Many women do this irl as well.

A lot of dudes can get male horniness mixed up with female horniness and think it’s the same thing, when female horniness is entirely different. Most women aren’t trying to fuck every dude they see and if they are irl it’s pretty obvious they are. You will never not see them with other dudes.

There’s also the fact that everybody’s MC can vary wildly. You can have a 6’8 unit (something that irl women are definitely more attracted to) or a 5’7 weakling that only gets by with the strength of their allies (something that women irl are definitely not attracted to, Edit: short dudes can be strong, attractive and extremely desirable, just trying to make a point).

If we wanted to make sense out of this game, you’d have to come to the conclusion that some promiscuous NPCs are going to be way more sexually exclusive and attracted to the unit than the weakling.

You’d have to argue for the discrepancy in MC’s, which just takes the conversation nowhere, in all honesty.

Which is why I say, whether characters are sexually exclusive or not (or are a certain way in general) is determined by the player.

I got a few mods here I made. Will make some more, I was wondering, for people who dislike Cait's "sexuality" do people here prefer a Cait with a sexual past, or without one? Me personally I like a Cait with a sexual past that slows down/stops with the oversexuality (when it comes to other guys) when we meet, and eventually gets into a relationship with the player.

Otherwise I’ll just keep making mods for my preferences in mind and share later.
