VN - Ren'Py - Cosy Cafe [v0.13.1 Public] [Cosy Creator]

A top 10 VN for me in has kept me reading and keeping up with the story and not only the sex. I enjoy the Cafe setting, enjoyed the school setting and was happy to see our MC not finding a way to stay out of the founding family Drama and face it head on.

Saw this game nominated in the AVNLovers/reddit page.So thought maybe try.

Although it feels fresh and the music is clean, anti-brainrot.

I like the writings for a rookie.

However, the very common issues are-

Issues (SERIOUS)-

Renders - Too Bright, Contrast-less, Unfiltered.

Story - feels like a filler for something greater yet still same.

Renders - Characters have no lip movement, Big Generational Gap.

Music - Same audio for a long run, which is alright just because it's clean and I don't play the samegame for more than an hour a day.

Characters -Not much customization

NPCs -I know , 2d fillers used to save time but a 2d guy molesting and we're supposed to notice it? NO WAY

Writing - Maybe fresh, but still, whats so exciting about it?

Choices - Don't exist IG.

Scenes - not really there for us, just to grab a tag of AVN.

Concept - IDK what is really gonna keep me playingany longer now.

Atleast take a year to fix the lip movements, will you Cosy?

What a neat little game this has turned out to be. It's pretty much just a VN, your choices are "spank her" or "let her go" every time and it changes absolutely nothing, but the way it's done is actually really good?

I think what this game gets right is it seems to have looked at trainer games and thought "what if we follow a same progression line but don't force the player to click 3 buttons 9000 times to get enough money to get a single character a slightly skimpier outfit. You don't have any control over progression, but it's disturbingly okay. The writing is okay, but the devs really did a great job building the story and setting the stage for everything. Pacing is phenomenal as well.

Only mark against this game is every male character's shoulders and body structure lol.

This game is my guilty pleasure. I play it and I enjoy it but it's not good. The dialogue and attachment styles of the love interests are cringy and ridiculous. Yet, I'm helpless to resist a story where people rely on the mc for survival.

The sick, twisted sense of power that gets juggled around in this game is unique, hard to find and addicting.

The main story is interesting and appears to have big things on the horizon. Now is a great time to get in on this game v0.13.1

Probably my favorite game on this site, it has almost everything I like: harems, pet play, soft maledom, cute girls we can protect and train, cooking, spanking, romance, diversity of bodies and personalities.

The only thing missing is monster girls, and then it would be perfect, but I guess you can't have everything in life (─‿‿─).

Just finished the latest update. Very engaging story so far, looking forward to find out what happened in the past with the grandfather. The girls are fantastic looking and written in an enjoyable way. Animations are very nicely done. I only have a few of very minor criticisms that don't even detract from my experience. First the elbows, they all look dirty. Second, this ladies' man has not gone down on any of these girls yet. Third There were a couple small interactions with the MC (can't recall specifics at the moment) that seemed out of character for him. That's it, like i said it wasn't enough to hurt my enjoyment of the story, just kinda stuck with me at the end. Thank you kindly for weaving your tale of intrigue and debauchery.

5 stars just for Catherine. Also the plot is pretty well thought out. This ones definitely one that I'm looking forward to continue following throughout it's updates. Also weirdly wholesome sometimes...

One of the best Avn out there, each girl is special with their dreams, wants, personality, needs, tastes, fears is true the are all submissive but that's part of the charm and they tend to differ in how, the plot is very good too the founding families politics and such keep you interested in what will happen next and there is a lot of mystery surrounding mc grandfather and what happened to him. So yeah this Avn is perfectly in my top three easily although be warned that it is an slow burn but a very nice one

A game that manages to capture the cosy intimate feeling of being close to a loved one, both in writing and with visual renders.

Renders are well made and of a high quality. The images that stand out are many, but in particular are the very close-up 1st person shots that capture the candid sensation of being wrapped up next to someone else.

True to the 'cozy' name, the story involves trust and honesty within the core characters. This leads to a soft yet sexually exciting narrative that also manages to balance the attention given to the harem of characters.

Each update feels high quality and with plenty of content.

I love this game. Very slow burn pacing with a great cast of varied girls who feel dynamic and believable, with a backdrop of surprisingly engaging intrigue. The maledom is great, not too overpowering, and there's still affection between MC and his harem, which has an in-world reason backing up its plausibility. Renders are pretty good, but not peak. Animations slowly get better, but are never bad. My biggest gripe is the music. The same few tracks play over and over and over and over, and eventually they become quite grating. They aren't bad tracks, just way too repetitive.

This is hands down my favorite game in this site.
1)Very softcore and wholesome BDSM
2)All the girls and the MC have so much personality, they have their own characteristics and quirks and makes them feel realistic
3)Normally Harem games like this kinda go for a cheating behind your partners route, meanwhile this is very upfront about relationships which I love
4)Amazing writing, there's actually some stuff in here that made me laugh out loud

Downsides:
Its kinetic, no options(that's not even a downside for me)
If you don't like teasing and straight want hardcore porn, this game isn't for you.

The author thinks it is a drama that he is writing. But the lack of self-awareness is really cringe. There is no story or anything, it is just every girl throwing herself at him for literally no reason at all. None of them have a noticeable personality or model for that matter. I don't know why it is rated so high. I really don't know what is going on.

This is so good. One of my favorite games. Has domination while being friendly and loving, so even spanking until butts turn red remains wholesome. Absolutely recommend if you like punishments but find a lot of the games that have them too dark - or too silly, and the "punishments" are just mild foreplay.

TLDR: Extremely little sex and it's boring, vanilla. Kinetic story. Girls forced on you. But good corruption, great domination. Hot girls despite outdated visuals. Cute romance. Basically, if you're looking for romance and submission but don't care about sex then you'll likely enjoy the game.

Positives:

• The girls have very hot bodies (despite the outdated Honey Select visuals). Faces are mediocre.
• Dominating girls, making them into good submissives. Not just that, it's also good romance, but yeah, hot submissives.
• Molestation, fondling on public transport.
• Romance, seduction and corruption of classmates and teachers. The girls start out innocent and you get to corrupt them properly.
• MC is not an idiot. He's confident, competent, strong. Worth mentioning given how often that's a problem in porn games.
• School setting and school uniforms. You get to use the girls in the classroom etc.
• Your own little pet catgirl. Both cute and sexy.
• Animations for most sex scenes. Nice to have even though the animations are too slow.
• Conversations are well written although gets way too long at some point.
• Harem. Including harem politics.
• Choice to avoid footjob fetish.
• Photographing/recording the girls in compromising situations.
• Good deepthroat and swallowing.
• Exhibitionism.

Negatives:

• Very little sex. Compared with the very long length of the story, there's extremely few sex scenes (see below).
• Story and almost everything is kinetic! Essentially no choices, no impact, no player agency.
• Girls are forced on you.
• Blueballing. Why get the girls completely submissive, naked, in your bed and then... nothing, just sleep? Happens several times, the girls clearly are ready for sex but MC just keeps delaying. And interruptions exactly when MC is about to insert the dick.
• The girls' faces are all basically identical.
• Outdated visuals and rendering. Especially the male characters look terrible.
• Animations are annoyingly slow and unsatisfying.
• Using the stupid anime game trope of trying to hide MC's face. It's only done partially anyway, so what's the point? (MC's face looks similar to basically all other men in the game.)
• Background characters are not rendered fully, just a blob of color. This is quite distracting.
• Stereotypical and one-dimensional characters.
• Story is a too "anime", unconvincing and self-indulgent. E.g. highschool boy without parents is suddenly important part of a powerful group of oligarchs, everyone wants their daughters to marry him. Then it devolves into a long, extremely detailed drama-filled power struggle.
• Game is far too slow, drawn-out.
• MC's dick looks weird.
• Only 1 or 2 sex scenes have any interactivity at all (animation speed, finish in mouth or face). All other scenes are just a slideshow.
• After you've had sex with anyone of the girls, that girl then just goes back to handjobs/blowjobs, almost never sex.

Well, this is the stuff that i crave.
GRADUAL corruption with WILLING and EAGER female participants.
Sure, there are quite a few leaps in logic and it does go too fast at times, but general pace and mood is enthralling.
Varied and consistent characters.
No random mood-breaking interruptions.
Linear story - no pointless sandboxing and branching.
As of now - this is my favorite game on this site.

I really liked this game. I hopw the best for the developer and I hope we will have more updates soon.

The only criticism I have is that the founding family bussiness is a little too convoluted for my brain (maybe I'm slow or something), but even that I kinda liked it adds a backbone to the story and the game.

I started playing this game because it was widely praised as a good game, interesting characters and a unique plot in a college setting. Going by the reviews on F95, it did seem to be promising, however....

The MC: a manipulative jerk that only seems to be interested in his restaurant, spanking girls on their but, and enlarging his harem. I read some reviews here that they appreciate that he's 'no pushover', but honestly, he has a terrible personality

The LI: most, if not all, are as shallow as spilled water in the Sahara, and they all seem to conform to Japanese anime tropes: the overtly shy one, the bashful one, the mute one, and then three cynical bitches who can't stop insulting you. and that's the start and end tot their personality.

Characters: Following the same trend as your Love interests, other characters are also all one-dimensional tropes with one trait, that's enlarged to the extreme.

The Plot; well, honestly, once the overarching plot started to play a larger role, I skipped through the whole game. It was as if the author had watched Games of Thrones, and decided to copy that in this game, with a rather juvenile writing style. it's not good, and it adds very little.

The Art: everything is empty and bare. I do appreciate the fashion of the girls, but the world feels empty, stale and kind of of depressing.

while I do say all this, the beginning had my interest. It wasn't as good as many other AVN, but it kept me clicking through. At one point though, it did became absurd and I stopped playing.

One of my favorite games on this site for sure. Its an amazing game! The perfect balance of cosy/domination. The character limit is making me write more but this game deserves the five stars so I am rambling.

A great wholesome harem game that gives you everything you expect going in and even more.
I really like the MC’s character and how he’s just a guy with a goal who doesn’t take shit from anyone, yet still cares deeply and is honest with his girls. Each girl is distinctive, with her own story, problems, and personality, which makes watching them interact with the MC and with each other a lot of fun.

The writer making the harem a natural part of the world was a great idea, as it makes everything feel smoother and more believable while letting us see the harem form and grow as the story progresses. The main plot isn’t anything groundbreaking, but it stays engaging and keeps you wanting to see how everything comes together.

Overall, a great game that I’ll definitely keep following closely.
