very cool looking game but the scenes dont even have a climax. 1 looped animation without like a different view or any climax animation personally just doesnt rub it. the costumes or whatever couldve also been improved

A very beautiful game. Every scene is like a cinematic. The gameplay is easy and ok. Story? Well, not a thing for story here, just hot girls, nice scenes and a simple mechanic. I had fun on this one.

Story: 3/5 - Standard succubus stuff, a slightly dark touch, but short.

Models: 3/5 - Basically your typical pseudo-model chicks. Remove the heads, and you can't tell who is your girlfriend, the innkeeper, the maid, or the countess, as they all have the same body.

Content: 1/5 - Vanilla, cheating, lesbian. Pretty underwhelming, tbh. There aren't many scenes for characters, mostly one short animation per 2-3 characters per chapter, and that's it.

Animations: 2/5 - There are some few frames animations, but given that the game is from 2023, it's below average. I'd rather have really nice standing pictures than low-quality animations.

Gameplay: 2/5 - It's basically point-and-click. There are also some choices that can give you points toward certain paths. The problem with that is some of them don't make sense at all. For example, you give a nice answer, but instead of gaining empathy, you get submission. This leads to trial and error or save-scumming, which isn't what one would consider good gameplay design.

Overall: 2,2/5

Brilliant game and the graphics and animations are fucking incredible as with their last game. There is futa content in this too which i was surprised at but open too. This is my definition of a perfect game. Literally one in a million. The MC not to retarded too which makes for a positive change. its a sandbox but very straight forward. This is not a VN!

The game is like playing a normal game but on LSD. only that it is real and you can play it without fucking your health up! I did wish there was repeatable scenes. But they have a gallery so meh!

The art style and setting in this adult game really drew me in, kind of like how "Cockwork Industries" did from the same developer. It's definitely worth checking out, and surprisingly, it's not all that creepy despite the theme. I just wish my favorite character, Eva, had more scenes. But hey, there's still plenty of content to enjoy overall. Oh, and I have to mention, the animations are so fluid and organic, it really adds to the experience. Plus, the dialogue is top-notch and the plot is full of intrigue, keeping me hooked from start to finish.

The game is well executed and the sex scenes are nice and easy to obtain.
The tutorials for dummies are quite funny too.

Scenario is okay, lots of going on and back, but it holds together well (except for some side events that leads nowhere). There has been a lot of effort put in transitions and graphic renders, which shows and it's the best point.

I did 2 runs, it takes quite some time and I was somewhat disappointed with the endings. At this point I had unlocked the whole gallery and almost all successes, so it felt tedious to all start over again. Perhaps the other two endings are better, but the ones I got seemed rushed and not necessarily consistent with my traits.

Good on some levels, but inconsistent on some others.

Point-and-click branching-path adventure game/vn.

I'm not going to spend much time here because everything I have to say has been said before. Just read the other reviews. They are not lying. This game is good and you should try it.

Positives:
+ Stunning visuals.
+ Good story.
+ Mystery.
+ Interesting characters.
+ Hot sexxx.
+ Meaningful dialogue choices.

Negatives:
- No creampies shown on screen. Only the aftermath.
- Weird nipples.
- All women have the same body type.
- Vanilla content.

All in all, it's simply excellent and highly fappable. I enjoyed this one a lot.

This is awesome, one of the best games ever, the story actualy made me care a lot, the characters look perfect and the vibes are amazing. I just played through the entire game in one night and I did not even realized that it is alredy a new day, just wanted to play a bit before i go to sleep, but could not stop. So i got one of the endings. Did not like that one. Alyiah was kinda my favorite, hope there is an ending that lets mc spare her cult. All she wanted was a world full of madness and sex. Also she was fucking hot. I hope i find a way to keep her alive. Also a big fan of the alternate outfits, the vodoo girl suit is sexy.

Is it just me or is this kinda based on Alice in Wonderland, there was a countess in the original book, right ? And Lylliane, the pregnant girl in the castle kinda looks like adult Alice, with the clothes and all. Considering Alice in wonderland is all about embracing madness and that cult in the game has the same goal, all the best people are crazy, it could be funny to bring a wonderland dlc or something, like an entire paralell world, maybe if Josh lost all his sanity the town around him will start to look more trippy and very weird. The game is doing something like that in the sex scenes, a normal and an open 3rd eye version of the scene, maybe the game could add some more monstergirls, Lamias for example, or mermaids. Also maybe the game could add spin off storys in the library, if you click on the books there could start some events. This game is 10/10. Very very good. Just want more of that stuff. Going to try the other game they made, hope they do more like this in the future.

In a strange way this game is very good in making you care for the different girls, Irina for example, this game is not just sex with a bit dirty talk. I do not have a girlfriend, but if you have a girlfriend and she is a gamer Girl, I think you could play this toogether with your girlfriend, i belief this could be something both of you would enjoy. Annie has a channel called " Sexpositive Gaming " on her channel she is talking about games like this one. I am from germany and it is not easy to get these kind of games here, censorship kinda sucks. So jeah i could not get this game from steam. So I am very gratefull i can download this game from f95zone. I am going to donate some money to the dev once i have some, i assume they have a patreon, just to support them. The gameplay is very chill, riddles are easy and i did not have to google how to solve everything. My computer is not the strongest, i use a laptop, I finished school a few months ago and I am looking for a job to earn money, probably have to buy a better computer as soon as I can. The animations stuck a lot with me, sometimes the game just stopped working if i had youtube videos play the same time. This is because of my bad computer, probably. So not a fault of the game. Had the same problem with Treasure of Nadia. I will try this game again on a gaming computer, as soon as i get one, will probably work so much more smooth. The sex scenes are very good, the dialogue feels sexy the different positions are very nice. Sadly i did not get all the mastery scenes, I played the game the way I would act if I would be in this situation not trying to increase specific stats in this playthrough. This game lets you express your personality a lot. Just kinda breaks the ilusion then that guy starts calling people stupid bitch and starts screaming at that poor Alyah girl. I guess the countess herself is probably the one character that is hard to like, she kinda hates men, as a men it is not easy to like someone that hates you. If you are a fan of cosmic horror, lovecraft and ancient aliens horror storys or if witches turn you on a lot this is the perfect game for you. It has almost all kind of witches, just hippie witches are missing, also no tantric witches, it has succubus witches, voodoo witches, celtic witches, christian witches and whatever the hell Eva was supposed to be. If you like porn and you like story in your porn you should play this. There are also a lot of sex scenes so if you realy need to cum the game will give a lot of stuff to help with that very soon in the game. The story feels realistic, Josh and his Girlfriend are written in a very realistic and kinda cute they. So if you always wanted a slutty girlfriend you can have a virtual one in this game.

The game could be so much bigger, maybe updates or some sequels could bring more of this world and explore characters in more dephts, i think some sidestorys in the parallel more trippy world could be nice, maybe some more monstergirs. This game is kinda mixing, celtic myths, christian beliefs, wicca belief and lovecraft also a lot of unique ideas. It has a lot of potential for storys. Also i do not mind dark stuff in games, but some more positive places to balace it out could be nice. I realized they have every "angel" type in the game, they have the weird cupid kind of angel, the human with wings kind of angel, the bible accurate angel and even the tentacle old god angel in this. The differet sex cults and magic cults in this are trying to bring a "new dawn" something that new age witches in real life are talking about for generations. So it could have been fun to see them actualy create this "new world" Maybe the game could have a sequel that takes place in wonderland a world full of monstergirls and stuff. Like they keep talking about the black dawn a new age of magic, madness and sex, would be interesting to explore a future there they actualy win and create a world of madness. An adult game set in a trippy world could be awesome. Maybe that could be in the sequel. A real apocalypse game would also be nice. This game sets up the mythologyand the prophecy of stuff that would come in the future, but we do not see it actualy come true in this game. So if devs want to make an adult version of wonderland, yes i know Tim Burton alredy did that, but Tim Burton did not have sex in it, just imagine a psychedelic trippy weird lewd adventure. So jeah the world of this game could continue and i would like to see that in future games.

This is one of the best games you should play it, the devs have done a good job.

Scenario

After your car breaks down, you’re stuck with your girlfriend in a strange Eastern European village. It’s up to you to discover the secrets of this strange region and of the Countess living in this large castle. I liked the (small) gallery of characters and the attempt to link several small scenarios to create a more consistent canvas. However, as the game is fairly short, it relies more on its four endings, which means that events are thrown together very quickly, without being able to create a very strong atmosphere.

Gameplay

If the game had to be classified, it would fall into the adventure point-and-click category. Through dialogues, the search for objects and the judicious use of your inventory, you progress along a scenario with many twists and turns. The whole thing is well realized, even if the player is constantly held by the hand, and everything is rather obvious. Had the game been a pure visual novel, it wouldn’t have made much difference.

H-content

The game’s strong point is its attractive models and enjoyable scenes. It’s varied, the characters are diverse, and I like the fact that the scenes are to the point without a lot of unpleasant dialogue. I’ll say no more, because while the amount is reasonable, it’s not overwhelming either, and it would be a shame to say too much.

What I didn’t like

Game performance is horrible, navigation is slow both in the game world and in the UI. This spoiled part of my experience and made replayability of other playthrgouth a pain. The studio has put a lot of effort into the big adult scenes, but I’d have liked a little more seduction and more kinky, rather than going straight into the hard stuff.

Conclusion

I can’t recommend the game enough, given the efforts made to offer a solid, finished game. It doesn’t excel in any of its aspects, but the whole holds together well and offers a pleasant experience.

This is a short game. The plot is a typical cheap horror movie. Nothing special. Your in-game choices determine whether you see all the content. Therefore, you are forced to replay the game again. It's annoying! The sex scenes are of average quality and I was too lazy to replay the game for them.

The graphics in the game are similar to NLT games. But in a worse performance.

Strictly speaking, it's 3 out of 5, but I'm giving +1 for at least one logical and straightforward love route, without hidden rocks and quadruple-bottomed pitfalls.

So, why 3 stars:
Game optimisation: horrible, although not a disaster level. The game doesn't show anything fancy, but horribly lags on PC and laptop.
Choices (with this I may be wrong as I didn't try every and each scene in the game), a choice to watch or skip a sex scene doesn't matter for the story. It's the character parameters that define the story and small flavours.
User Interface: the rule of three clicks defining a good UI is not followed, and clicking gets tiresome pretty fast.
Scene presentation: you have an option to avoid futa-on-female or even to evade a female jumping on the characters dick, but you mandatorily watch an introduction to a scene with a fat ugly wrinkled naked man.
Characters: to be honest, I confused the faces of wife-in-heat, the countess, and the evil maid. They are black-haired without any peculiarities (except for tentacles and talons).
Storytelling manner: by the end you're getting a wall of text with the explanations. Trite and booooooring.
Story: although it's my favourite genre and filled mostly with women, it doesn't hold up.
No True End or Secret Ending (or is it there?)

Digital Seductions make original high production value games but the plot and characters fall a bit short everytime, it is the same in this game too. Visual quality and polish is one of the best but it is rather short and nonsensical in every aspect of writing. So can't say it is even good if you value novel side of things too much but it is very good in visual department so download accordingly.

I'm giving it five stars a bit in advance.

It's a pretty game, with stunning graphics. It's very climatic, a fairytale style but a dark Gothic fairytale. It's more art than porn if you ask me but you'll still find there a lot of erotic scenes with different fetishes included.

It's a classical point and click game but don't be afraid, it's really easy. You shouldn't get stuck in any moment. You even get some big tutorials explaining the game mechanics but you probably won't need them as it's quite simple as I said.

My problem with it was that it's really short and felt somehow unfinished and half-baked. You can complete it in under one hour. And at moments it feels like it was going to be bigger, with more story, subplots and content.

While short in gameplay time, it actually quite huge in terms of gigabytes. There is a compressed version but it seems broken and unplayable, at least that was my case.

Despite these things, the game is definitely worth playing. Check it out.

- Relatively large file size for the amount of content
- Intro and Chapter screens take too long to play out. Fortunately you can hit Esc to skip them
- Would be nice if there were more than 9 save slots. 36 would have been preferable
- Panning the screen left or right feels slow. Would be nice if you can pan left or right with arrow keys

Conclusion
Excellent game! Would definitely recommend if you're into dominant, dark, evil, busty women. Gameplay is solid and the story has multiple endings.

Short game, but I appreciate what it tries to do.

The scenes and models are absolutely gorgeous and even the "static" images in the gallery have minor "ambient animation.

The story is intriguing and has a decent enough flow. That said, the story branches being based on a pair of meters (one a binary scale and one quota based) feels like a bit of a cop-out (as opposed to being based on specific choices), though I suppose that does offer more flexibility in one's choices along the way (being the result of a sum total instead of hard breakpoints). The replayability of unlocking all the scenes also feels a bit forced and stifled by the attribute system.

On the whole I enjoyed it, though personal preference, I wish it leaned a little harder into the NTR aspects.

I bought the game on a discount about a month ago, and I thought I'd share my bit here (played it before patch 0.8.17):

Countess in Crimson is a gothic horror story, broken in small acts, featuring adventure gameplay more than typical ren'py visual novel stuff. Basically your wife is getting hypnotized/kidnapped by a succubus, and you have to rescue her, while getting gaslighted via lying locals and hypnotization yourself.

Flows

• Lovely gothic atmosphere. Not "the" most anxiety-inducing you can get, but still a good effort.
• Adventure-style gameplay, mostly consisting of inventory puzzles. Frankly it could use a lot more of it.
• Related to the above: The game has heavy mystery doses, with one of the side-quests being helping a dude with amnesia remembering who he is, no sex involved. Kudos.
• An OK variety of babes. You have your girlfriend, the countess, her head-servant, the librarian and the innkeeper, from the ones that have scenes (with routes for 4 of them).
• Very respectable 3d animations for h-scenes. Each route also ends with a pure sex h-scene that actually has a mini-game, which you need to succeed in order to unlock the whole gallery.

Flaws

• My relatively high-specs laptop did struggle a bit while running it at full-screen. It could use more optimization.
• The game "does" suffer a bit from the adventure-game logic, where problems have very specific (seldom absurd) solutions despite you being able to imagine many ways to solve them. There are "some" dialogue prompts which excuse why item "X" can't be used to solve problem "Y", but frankly it could use a lot more of them.
• The routes are not exactly clear, with your options having unpredictable consequences. (since the game has gothic-horror flavor this is not big of a problem, it will only get annoying after a few playthroughs, when you want to follow any routes you've missed and are wondering how the f@ck to do that).
• The twist, while unexpected, is pretty indifferent. As in, there was no foreshadowing that the player would feel responsible for missing without context.
• Futanari option needs enabling. I don't like futanari either, but shame on the developers for caving in to the crybabies. The opposite should be the option.
• The models look like they've gone through an oil bath. It is a bit distracting, though by no means a deal-breaker.
• Interactions with the knocked up girl are limited to a single dialogue. A shame, because both the potential preggo kink and her mysterious background/role are intriguing.

The game gets a thumbs up for playing, just don't expect to be blown away by it. If you are thinking of buying it, get it on discount and you won't regret it.

Countess in Crimson is a good game but has some rough around the edges much like Cockwork did before. First of, it's a short game, for good and ill. Means the story is complete and dense but also it advances very quickly and doesn't leave much to build-up. Same goes with gameplay, we get three tutorials for three game systems that, in the end, don't actually matter that much and thus gameplay feels lackluster. It does capture some erotic/horror tones quite well though.

Graphics and general quality of the game are very high, with a lot of small animations in scenery and such. Sex animations are well done but are unfortunately based on very short loops and are very few and uncommon and end up feeling like not enough was done, again much like Cocwork. I didn't face no bugs on my playthrough which is good.

So, all in all, could have been a great game, it just ends up being somewhere between decent and good. I'm giving it the four stars a bit on the optimistic side, it could have gone to three just as easily.

This game is fantastic! the first game with the black protag was amazing too! This MC i s weaker in my opinion! But that is my only problem, still 5/5. i wish the protag was more like the protag from the first game 6/5 but still amazing!
