This is a community thread for whatever this game will be.
My name is Jay and I've been a character designer and Maya user for a long time. About a year ago I switched to Blender from Maya because of how easy it is to customize and make my own addons (as well as others that talented people made), as well as being very user-friendly. I have my own custom sh aders I use for texture/skin as I personally like characters to look as realistic as possible (in my own opinion); so I spend a lot of time on one model, sometimes a few weeks. I start off with a base model from Daz Studio, then bring it to Blender and start sculpting from there. After I finish sculpting then I add textures and input my shaders and custom pore maps.

I decided to jump into this space of NSFW games a few months ago, however, I'm not a writer nor am I any good of thinking of anything unique for a story. I just simply do 3D in my free time. I've been looking for someone who is an experienced writer so that I can just focus on my part, but that seems to be impossible for me to find. I will keep scanning the recruitment section here.
Anyway, this thread is basically just a space I can post my art while I'm in development of this game, whatever it will be. As well as for people to share their opinions. I really need some insight on what theme is most popular to people as it's hard to develop characters if I don't know what the theme of the game is. So far I've gone back and forth from medieval to modern, so if anyone is able to share what they think is best, please feel free. Below I will post renders and test renders of what I'm working on. I will try to post every week if possible, this is something I'm working hard on. Everything is posted in no particular order, with a small description of shader details.
One character I did finish. She has 4x hue/saturation nodes mix with base g8.1f textures connected to color dodge. Also has 2 mixed normal maps at a strength of 5. The diffuse texture goes into color ramps to make the shading look right. Brightening the skin seems to be import for Blender because everything comes out dark and grey. Her smile is just the basic closed smile and sculpted to add wrinkles. WIP. I made a small development post on reddit a few months back:

I have a separate shader I made for mouth and teeth. The immersion for me was breaking because my characters looked great but as soon as they opened their mouth, the texture detail went down (never been good at shading mouth and teeth). So I worked hard to create good enough (in my opinion) mouth and teeth shaders specifically. Her head sculpt is mostly Jacqueline 8.1 with my custom pore maps. I haven't finished sculpting her body yet - I was focused on her skin for awhile. Soft skin is hard because SSS sometimes makes things green. So you only need a very small amount. WIP
That's all I have for now. I have other characters started but not enough to show. I also haven't gotten to a male yet. I will post more in future posts below. Also please vote on the poll to help me figure out what direction to go in.
