I dare say that he might not even have the money to pay for it, he just thinks it's a flex to pay for a developer (That mind you isn't devving for the past year or so)

Exactly. At no normal workplace do you get to just leave work for like a year for ANY reason, and still get paid. You'd get offboarded SOMEHOW.
I feel bad for the dev but that doesn't mean they should be getting paid for doing nothing. I wish them all the best of luck in the development, and I like their game, but this guy is annoying asf.

I can only dream of such a hustle. Imagine getting commission checks while working on something once a month, now that's the capitalist ideal. That said, it is important to understand these are side projects and often not the developer's main job so normal expectations seem a little harsh.
Crowdfunding has less likelihood of return on investment than traditional methods. You are supporting the artist before you have little more than a promise of development.

Fellas, we get it: the dev is slow. Repeating it for the thousandth time is a waste of everyone's time, including your own. Just move on or talk about the actual game for God's sake. I get these guys defending the dev annoy you, but it's clear they won't change their mind just as you won't change your mind. Just stop shit talking the dev and these defenders won't have anyone to argue with, it's that simple. I'd really like the next ping I get, be it 1 day or 5 years from now, be some actual news about the game rather then the same stupid ass argument heating up again.

We are aware, but as Ziggy said, there is no point in bringing it up. It's a moot point, and an annoying one at that. We've been aware for most of those years that we aren't going much of anywhere at the moment, but we keep this thread just in case the light at the end of the tunnel chooses to show itself. We really don't need a constant reminder that it's currently pitch fucking black.
What the hell are you talking about? They post daily updates on the game in the discord.
There is no Major updates but its tweaking and making sure the abilities/animations and visuals are being polished.

2. I didn't know that, but that still means the game is in limbo. It's not being completely left in the dust, but the amount of progress being made is small enough that it's not unreasonable to question if it will be abandoned or not. (I don't believe so based on what you said, but that's just me.)
3 (Bonus). Ngl, I'm kinda pissed off that of all the people ranting and raving about the lack of progress and damn near telling the dev to "suck it up" in response to health issues slowing progress, the one you choose to go after is me, who was literally just the messenger. Maybe I'm reading more aggression from that first sentence than there really is, but I'd rather not have knives at my throat for relaying information I can't presently verify with utmost certainty.
answer to 3: No i was not being aggressive, i was legitimately confused by your statement of it being in a state of limbo.
I just follow the discord and keep up with the news, they've been working on the pixel art and animations to get it polished up. yes Anon is having some problems outside of the game which is slowing things but they are keeping us updated on what is going on.
Just yesterday we had an animation update for Alraunes (exported and pending Anons review) and additional attack animations are in production.
While he may be a bit occupied the other half are still working on getting things ready for him.
the game is far from abandoned though.

They are working on a new mechanic for the alraunes, spawn animations, additional attacks, a blocking mechanic, it sounds like its a whole new alraune coming or a big overhaul (they were somewhat easy to take care of in the game imho).
They are also working on an achievement shop (idk what that really means). maybe cheats unlock this way iand maybe color swaps?
did see conversation in regards to a cheat to let you swap between breast expansion and normal sizes in gameplay at will. Additionally there will be more BE variant scenes with enemies added (this was conversation in the discord 1/12/26)
I can also see where people were confused, the CPE has Two dev logs, a daily and a major update one for the game.
the last major update was back in 6/25 but the daily one has all the minor things continually keeping progress of what is being worked on.
