Get over yourself. I am extremely annoyed that this is even marked as gay when 99% of content is straight. You don't see us gays crying and whining because we have to see a fuck ton of vagina in the games here marked as "gay". Oh wow you had to see some drawn dicks once in the beginning of the game before any gameplay...

I'm bisexual and that kind of whining has always annoyed the fuck out of me. Every gay game has someone in the comments making some remark about how they wish it was a straight game instead. Every game with the "gay" tag that also has straight sex in it has to make it painfully clear that the gay scenes can be avoided and you'll still get straight boys complaining about coming across it accidentally. Fuck it isn't even porn games, one of the first complaints about Baldur's Gate 3 after release was that it was too easy to start a gay romance with one of the companion characters.
To be fair Gale's little speech when you reject him about how he's happy for you and will always have a great deal of affection for you and all that is actually quite sad to hear as someone who basically is Gale irl it reminded me of the girls who've shot me down FeelsBadMan

On a mild tangent, I actually don't like how easy it is to get into a romance period. I preferred the older games where it was a bit of a puzzle and you had to work for it more. Baldur's Gate 3 is a ridiculously horny game lol.
Yeah no need to clarify, I just got here early and I felt like I had to do it, good luck with the game.

Part of what I don't like is that the player character is a little inconsistent. One second he's saying he wants to make sure no funny business happens with his girlfriend, the next, he has no issue with her titfucking someone? And he doesn't really react to it, and the girlfriend doesn't seem to think it was a big deal, which makes me wonder what their relationship has been like up to that point. Have they done stuff like this before? Is this her first time cucking him? It's hard to understand. Pacing is important.
Another pacing issue is when he says "I'd do anything for you" to the butcher, the guy he's met maybe 3 times in his life lol. That's a crazy thing to say to someone so soon.
I do think there's a lot of potential here though if you sit down and carefully plan the story out from the beginning. Good luck
