I like it, surprisingly
1. Story:
Genuinely confused since it's written by the ツヅル (I know some of his ASMR with decent writing) and somehow the font is not properly kanji which made me thought this game is not done by Japanese? I think chapter 3/4 is weakest, mostly because chapter 1/2 are decently written and chapter 5/6 is when the climax came and the plot finished. I like how you have to discover the world from other people and L's logs, which makes the worldbuilding tight enough. There are also reveals like in chapter 5 where you go to the contaminated zone and see the base in real life instead of fiction world. The ending is okay? I guess it's happy end and open for sequel (which there will be).
2. Characters:
tragedy everywhere, but there's hope when you interact with the glutton girl, and also M. Stupid mouse in the base. L's suffering. N's fate...
3. Atmosphere:
GREAT. I love the BGM when you explore the stage and the background art. Base is relaxing as a break after all the gunplay.
4. Gameplay:
definitely could have improved more, but after chapter 2 or so it's really just going to the right and walking back shooting the monsters lmfao. Dev don't even make any routes and sometimes just "remembered" there's a thing called flashlight, or traps... I like the guns, but holy shit later on when the mobs are much harder it becomes more of ammo management than shooting. Last boss I have to Tab and switch guns like crazy because everything is out of ammo. Funny how Shotgun is the best eco gun because killing with melee grants you 20 ammo no matter what gun, which sucks for machine gun. Also like using the snipers too, especially the Springfield my favorite gun in COD1.
5. Monster/Ryona/Futa:
first few ones are well thought/designed compared to the later ones I feel. Even the death animation feels meh later other than the alien that can slow time. I like how some bosses are there to tell the story like the glutton girl and M-ish boss. Surprisingly enjoy ryona and futa in this one.
6. Voice acting:
despite using the top tier VAs in doujin industry I'm surprised it's not as good, except the glutton girl. Oh well.
it's funny how this is not their first game but there are still a lot of bugs (when I enter new arc I keep all my money despite spending them all on upgrade?) and flaws in designs (hard to know which is background object and which is not)
Will I play the sequel? sure. Just not playing the beta and waiting every month for update lol
