Otherwise, further specification is needed. I would've not considered Summertime Saga as game with routes.

I think they meant CYOA, Choose Your Own Adventure games. Chyoa is an adult erotic fiction site that seems to focus on CYOA stories.
As for OP, there's not a lot of western games that have 2D images, with lots of content and choices. Most use 3D models.
But they could try the Latest Update section sorted with 2Dcg and multiple endings

I think Monster Girl Dreams has quite a few choices, though I never played it.
There's also some games with a lot of choices but largely text based:
