To be extremely blunt, I really dont understand how this is one of the most popular games on the website.
The art i admit is amazing, even with the AI feel to some of it, but from minute 1 the quality of the writing and gameplay is magnitudes lower than the art. The dialogue itself is broken english at best, and when combined with eye roll worthy situations that prompt some of the scenes, its a complete turn off. Im not expecting a best selling novel here, but think of the most ridiculous porno acting you can imagine, make the stars speak in broken english, and thats pretty accurate to what this game is.
As far as gameplay, its just not designed with the limits of RPGmaker in mind. Characters have very specific schedules, which would be fine in most games, but it takes half a dozen button presses just to find the schedule of one character, and each button press is followed by a short fade to black. what should be one button press and a glance, is turned into an extremely tedious process over time. This is true of the UI in general in this game.
That tediousness extends to pretty much every other aspect of the gameplay too. The affection points gained through repetitive events, the grindy minigames and side quests etc.
And these are my thoughts as a new player, im not even touching on the shady behaviour of the dev that ive seen comments about from old players, or the locked thread to prevent criticism.
