VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Dairy Tale [v1.0] [Anonymoose Productions]

It's a pretty nice, generally entertaining game (decent worldbuilding, fairly entertaining dialog and half-decent humour - even a few pop culture and anime references). However it's largely (pun intended) focused on the expansion aspects, and conversely very minimal when it comes to actually depicting sex. I've played through all three good endings and the two neutral endings—as well as two bad endings—and none of them actually show sex (to paraphrase a meme: it's more "and then they fucked", but it doesn't show the fucking). The few sex scenes that actually did exist were essentially just transitions between three or four frames (I assume the creator isn't very good at animation and decided to minimize how much was in their game).

I imagine people who actually have expansion/feeding/fattening/growth fetishes would have an excellent time with this game. However personally, I'm not especially attracted to those things (expansion can be hot, but it's not enough on its own). For me the game was just "Okay". It was a fairly entertaining story, but not really one I could get off to (not visually, at least).

Overall I'd give it four stars in terms of story and content, but I'm taking one away due to the visual depiction of sex (and general lack thereof).

This is very different from my expectations.

The game is heavily focused on inflating. With a preference towards fattening.
Some of the girls only get bigger boobs and one bigger ass without being fattened.
But most girls get fattened to an obscene degree. Which is just unattractive.

The game is relatively short, but has various permutations. you need to repeat it a bunch of times to get all 11 endings.
Thanks to [ctrl] it goes faster later on.

You only ever have sex with your fox girl girlfriend on screen. There are only 4 or so actual sex scenes in the game, all with the fox.
In 3 of the endings it will mention having sex and children with additional girls. But it won't be shown on screen. those 3 endings are:
fox + dog
fox + bunny
all 8 girls I listed the inflations of

You get warnings about the darkness of some of the bad ends that you have to see to unlock the best endings. and they are dark. but kinda comical.
Like for example:
it came off as Narm.

The minigame was a missed opportunity. It was made to be really hard, which means your eyes have to be focused on the bars rather than on the boobs being milked, which ruins any chance of it being sexy and fun. I managed to get 100% even without cheating, and there is a cheat which makes it easier. but no matter what you need to fully focus your eyes on the bars and thus completely miss any semblance of sexiness. (plus it is very repetative to begin with).
after a few endings you can skip it. It should have been sexy milking and was a wasted opportunity.

Relationship development mostly happened during timeskips. Your interactions with the various girls is mostly in choosing how much milk to deliver to them.
Overall the game just felt lacking in both the harem and sexiness aspects.
It is not offensive. But could have been better.

Decent enough premise to enable the main themes of expansion, but the art/models is just not up to the task. The bigger the girls get, the more they look like bad PS2 caricatures with cartoonish proportions. It might be controversial to say, but I think that even decent AI art would take this from a 2/5 to a 4/5. That, and stopping the character's growth while they're still somewhat realistically proportioned instead of overinflated tit monsters.

I'll try anything with expansion, and Dairy Tale hits all the right buttons. It's got weight gain. It's got breast expansion. It's got before and after comparison pictures! Love that! The writing is consistently good, with likeable characters and minimal typos, and there are a whole ton of different endings, none of which are just minor variations.

There's not that many sex scenes, and I wouldn't complain about more, but that's not really the focus of the game. At the time of writing, the game doesn't have any audio, and one thing I would really like is a gallery feature that lets me view all of the character sprites. These are all nitpicks and suggestions though, they didn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.

Anyway, if you like expansion and progressive growth, check out this game. If you don't like those things, go play something else, I guess. I'm not gonna hold your hand, it's probably sticky.
