Where's the save file location?
Game soft-locks when you run out of resources and can't seem to reset.

NVM, It's found in roaming.

Bug and crashing aside, there's some feedback I'd like to offer. Slimes are way too common for how strong they are, hell I encounter them more than any other type of enemy. Either make them weaker or appear less often, preferably both. Also maybe make recruitable humans more common, I'm about 4 years into this and have only encounter 2, neither of which I successfully recruited as my attempt failed and you only get one chance for some reason. Also, the resource drains are massive considering how few you can get, if I didn't cheat my stats and spam conquests (I get about 6 tries a season and STILL can't recruit), I'd have bankrupted myself many times over. Balance as a whole needs a long hard look at it. Also consider preventing consecutive raids. Characters are very weak and easily lose to raids considering you can't even hit the enemy until they've hit you first (the tutorial mentioned training, but I still don't see this warriors hall I'm suppose to train at). Losing is bad enough, but being unable to replenish your resources before the next one and have everything fall apart due to lack of upkeep resources a surefire way to make your player delete your game.

Thank-you all for all the feedback, I didn't realise that my game was so bug ridden!

As I'm unable to replicate the crashes (gender switching works fine on my devices) some more information on the conditions the bugs occur under would help me track them down easier.

I agree the tutorial could be better. It should highlight the buttons, buildings, etc. as it mentions them and provide a better explanation of how to assign jobs and train warriors. Perhaps more information on combat too.

Would a step by step (requiring the player to complete an action before moving to the next tutorial stage) tutorial be preferred?

As for the difficulty and balance, I had tuned it on the trickier side but it sounds like I need to adjust the RNG for combat spawning and add a grace period on raids. I might add an option to adjust difficulty (with lower difficulties providing a bonus to resource income and player combat stats).

  1. Start a game
  2. Place a hut
  3. Go to character customization
  4. Try to change gender
  5. Crash
Huh, I was expecting that crash to involve a pregnant character or some other unusual use case. It happening from the get go is quite the problem. It working fine on some devices and not others might indicate a compatibility issue, or perhaps something off with the saves.

I've built a debug version ( ) that should output the crash details to the save directory (normally C:/Users/<USER>AppData/Roaming/Dapplecap).

If it's not too much trouble, please could you replicate the bug with the debug version and post the contents of the logs/godot.log file (or a .zip of the whole Dapplecap save folder)?

I tried to play this one, and I am getting the same issues. When I give my first character a job, she will do it, but when I switch it to something else, she will just wonder around. Even if I control her, I can gather anything myself. Also, if I hit next season, the game crashes.

EDIT: I see what happened. She ran out of stamina. I didn't see that was a thing. Still, there is nothing I can do about it since I can't end the day or make progress at all.

When saving the game after building the player's house, a crash occurs, and until the save is deleted, the game will not start.
