Would you please add a tab or options to change resolutions, for Pete's sake? I got the game running at one corner of my screen with no possibility to go fullscreen or anything.

So how am I meant to get new villagers? The tutorial says I can do it via raiding, but i get one shot by everything because my character has 1hp.

Also the start new game button doesn't even work if you already have a save, so I'm stuck with a useless save file that crashes if I hit new season because I run out of resources. I like the idea, but man this game was in no state to be launched.

I believe you have to leave at least 1 stamina to your warrior(s) before changing seasons and they will train themselves. I think the skills that gets trained is random but eventually health will increase by itself and then you can level up from beating encounters normally.

Also, for new villagers you have to recruit them from encounters, after hitting them to orange or red health. Mostly, one hit from you and then the action recruit, but you have to have a house for them too. Hope it helps.

When saving the game after building the player's house, a crash occurs, and until the save is deleted, the game will not start.

Godot Engine v3.6.stable.mono.official.de2f0f147 -
OpenGL ES 2.0 Renderer: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER/PCIe/SSE2

ERROR: Mono: Core API hash mismatch.
at: _init_godot_api_hashes (modules/mono/mono_gd/gd_mono.cpp:515) - Mono: Core API hash mismatch.
Mono: Log file is: 'D:/Users/Kastrom/AppData/Roaming/Dapplecap/mono/mono_logs/2025-06-01_19.47.50_18064.log'
Many thanks for providing a log. There doesn't seem to be an error around the time of the crash but looks like there is an issue with the engine or graphics renderer so I'll see if altering those helps.

The game not starting is probably due to it attempting to autosave when it crashes, but it ends up corrupting the save data instead, so I guess I'll have to disable that feature for now.

If it's not too much trouble, please could you replicate the bug with the debug version and post the contents of the logs/godot.log file (or a .zip of the whole Dapplecap save folder)?
I've uploaded archive here , but i didn't find any errors in logs.

Solid concept but several problems, in order of importance:
Game crashes a lot seemingly at random
If you assign a job to your character and then take control of it and try to harvest the nearest resource it just picks any random resource irrespective of job.
The absolute only way to get more than just your starting character (read: any workers at all) requires you to do "conquest" which after 1 hour of playtesting this appears to be a 33% chance to pit you against a snake, snakes can't be recruited, 33% chance to pit you against a bandit, bandits can't be recruited, 33% chance to pit you against a slime, slimes can be recruited. Of those enemies, snakes have 1 hp, bandits 2-3 hp, slimes have 8ish hp. Your attack is 1 damage, your health is 1 damage - if you receive a hit you're dead. Trying to recruit a slime without damaging it is always resisted. You need to bring its health lower, which allows you to recruit them.
Interestingly, after recruiting a slime, building a home for it and assigning it to work, then going to conquest again, the slime just disappears. This repeated 3 different times.
After either being successful or failing in a conquest you're forced to see the tutorial again. Not once, every time - regardless of success or failure. There doesn't seem to be a way to disable this.

Because of those issues, currently absolutely nothing you can do in the game.

For legacy purposes this was written at game version 0.0.13.

Did you assign the slime to the house? Rather than auto-populating residences, you need to assign you recruits to their new house

Yeah clicking assign to house does nothing. Sometimes it sends a slime to the pool, other times it does nothing, in both cases slimes disappear after another conquest. If it does nothing and you click it again there's about 70% chance the game just crashes.
