Technically this game is split into two "episodes"/games, and they both have slightly different controls. However, there are a few points that can be made that encompass both.
General Overview
Both episodes of Dark Side Fantasy play very much like a basic flash game with some minor differences. Ep. 1 you can only go left and right, and gameplay is restricted to hiding behind bales of hay to avoid enemies, "seducing" enemies to have sex with you if they spot you, or shooting your gun. All in all, very basic game with pretty basic quality animations and such.
Ep. 2 tries to expand on its mechanics but is largely similar to Ep. 1, gameplay- and graphics-wise. Now instead of moving left and right, you can go up and down, and the map has been expanded into a series of rooms you need to backtrack through for keys and such.
Ep. 1
Basic. Very basic. You can probably run through the game in, like, 10-20 minutes and get all the animations and stuff for the gallery. The nice thing is that once you finish, you can hit "Continue" and it'll let you select the stage to play so you can collect any scenes you're missing. The stage select screen will also let you know what scenes you've collected/how many scenes exist for any given stage. The story is pretty bare-bones, if you can even call it that, and the sex isn't exactly fantastic either. There's only a few full-screen CGs that are of good quality, but those are mostly for bad ends.
EP. 2
Largely more of the same when compared to Ep. 1, but a better overall experience as the gameplay is a little more fleshed out and you can move on the y-axis now instead of just the x-axis. Now instead of stages you're in a "dungeon" you've got to escape, but there's not much more to it than that. All you need to do is collect a series of keys to unlock doors to get more keys and then eventually escape. There's a basic crafting mechanic for herbs where you can combine them for better effects, but there's so much ammo lying around for your gun that it's pretty easy to get away with not taking any damage. Similar to the first game there's also a gallery for the sex animations and CGs, but unlike the first game you don't have to have sex to unlock them. Once you encounter/kill an enemy, the relevant animations are added to the gallery, so you can just run through the game in ~10 minutes or so.
Conclusion
I'm going to give this 2 stars. It's a very basic game, but it works fine and doesn't have any severe bugs. The gameplay is nothing groundbreaking and the sex scenes are super basic. If you want something in the same vein but of much higher quality, just search the forums for aliens and eves for five minutes and you'll find it.
