VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Date Ariane Remastered [v1.5] [ArianeB]

A simple game, but simplicity is to its benefit.

Among the positives of this experience is the perceived innocence of the story/content/characters. There are no insane story elements or disclaimers which only serve to complicate the plot and provide fetishistic experiences for the player (tropes which are all too common - for better and for worse - in many other games). The focus is singular; you are on a date with a woman, no more, no less.

This game was probably my first exposure to the genre, and an introduction to "lewd" games in general, so my opinion may be tinted by rose-colored glasses of a childhood since departed.

The animations are very clearly dated, the sex scenes do leave a lot to be desired (creatively and mechanically) but damn does remembering this classic experience make that go away.

Not a perfect game by any means, but far far from average. The improved graphics and extra content add to the experience provided by the original.

The classic, back it all it's strange and uncanny glory. One of the forefathers of western porn games; one of the first to take a stand and say "I'm tired of stealing from the Japanese! We can be degenerates to!"

It's simple, it's quick... dare I say, it's innocent. No complex plots, no contrived cast of characters or fetishistic lust; It's just a date simulator... I honestly can't name another game with that singular focus on this site.

It's not great, not by the standards of modern porn games. But god damn does this hold a special place in my heart.

Good renders and remaster. Male Character looks a bit weird but you barely see him anyway.
While there's barely any sex (and the animation isn't great), I like the flirting/nudity part of the game a lot

Date Ariane by itself was a fantastic game. The remastered, however, gives off a vibe of warcraft reforged.

Honestly, the biggest problem I have with it is the dude.
Why did they add a dude who represents you.
Why does it have to be the stupidest looking dude on the planet with a giant giant forehead.
Why do you have to show me his naked picture with a comment: "I'll take my clothes off too!" Why do you have to show him at all. i am surely not him and i don't want him to represent me

That's basically all i have to say. Animations are old and unimpressive. The progression seems to be improved. Hints are helpful, though one could make an argument that you don't want them to get a feeling of a date.

Go play the original version, boys.
