Daz metal and glass not shading correctly

Hi All,
test.png
I am trying to use the artdeco resteraunt available in the Daz shop along with its props (
) and everything is working fine except for the glasses and cutlery on the tables which are just plain white solid models.

In the marketing shots they should be nice glass and metal textures. There are no obvious errors in the Daz log file and I cannot seperate the non-working from the working items as they are all in a compound table setting prop.

Can anybody think of something I might have done to stop the glass and metal shaders working in this context or point me to the right place in the packaged files to try and diagnose this issue?

It's probably because that product only comes with 3Delight shaders.

You'll have to re-shade the glass and metals to make it work right with Iray. Use the surface selector tool to pick out individual surfaces, and use the shaders that come with Daz. Be sure to select the Iray shaders.

Sometimes, you can select and item/sub-item under surfaces and apply the Iray Uber Base shader, which keeps the 'old' texture maps but converts various things/options to Iray. If that doesn't work, then yeah it's time to start picking various Iray shaders as envixer said.

You can also try to ctrl+click the Iray shader that you want to apply, which will give you the option to keep or overwrite the texture maps.

I keep forgetting that Iray isn't the only renderer. Doh.

I am playing with surfaces and shaders right now and that seems to be doing the trick. Its not something I have had to do before but I can see there will be all sorts of fun I can have with this!

Thanks guys.
