DAZ Studio to Blender to Godot Game Engine Guide

This guide leads through the workflow of bringing high quality 3d characters with morphs from DAZ Studio into the Godot 3D Game Engine combined with animations from Mixamo.

Since the full guide is way to picture heavy to post here you can find it on my github:

I think the Godot Engine could be an ideal stepup from Renpy for many developers that want both 2d and 3d for their game but are intimidated by C# or C++ from Unity/Unreal Engine. Renpy Python and Godot GDScript are more or less the same and both have a free "do whatever the fuck you want with your game" license without royalties.

Don't forget to reduce size of 4k textures in Daz export folder or you risk to freeze blender when import scene. You can reload 4k textures later.

I just came across this same guide searching for something else and was about to share it here. Looks pretty promising. I personally haven't ever had issues with texture size going into Blender using Diffeomorphic importer.
