DAZ3D Manager Tool (v. 0.6.1)

1580488094430.png

This software is not the "Daz3D Zip Installer" but a further development.
So far, the "Texture Converter" is still missing, but will be integrated again immediately.
From now on is the "Morph Manager", which was a stand-alone tool in this software.
Used it at your own risk
Installer - Install Zip/Rar/7zip Files
Uninstaller - Uninstalling Installed Content
Morph Manager - If your Model-Loading times to High, or Morphs consumes too much RAM, Deactivate\Activate Morphs
Texture-Converter - To Resize Textures
Pathrenamer - Chnage Folder and Install pathes (Removed)

If you use Content Installer:
1. Go To Installer-Tab
2. Go To Settings-Tab
3. Set your Pathes
4. Import & Install Content

if you use the Morphmanager:
1. Go To MorphManager-Tab
2. Go To Settings-Tab
3. Set your Pathes

INFO: For managing Morphs use the MorphManager2

Hi,

My 2 cents, not seeing bugs so far :

Daz3D_Manager_Tool_CIve6L2KZJ.jpg

A cool feature could be a "search missing textures/replace textures" since you're using the log file, but I see you're also working on a Texture-Converter, maybe it will be a part of tool.

Hey, thanks for your review!
The Design is not Final....and you are right, its a little bit small..I change next time.
Checking for missing textures will be a bit difficult with Daz3D's compressed files ....... but content that installed with the installer could actually be checked for missing files..If you mean that..(Great Idea)

I see lots of 50 sets with scratches around the plunger from needlenose pliers.

Dave, is JL going to need a tool to copy if he decides to give it a try?

PC requirements? .. my PC can't run this .. how to change path ?

To change the paths, open the config.ini
and change
<Daz3DContentFolder>
-e:\contents
to
<Daz3DContentFolder>
-NewPath
and the same with <Daz3DMorphFolder>

Hey, I have no SSD .... just a standard 1TB external hard drive ... all Morphs (just G3) are total about 15GB in size .... no idea if it is on the hard drive, but whoever has the same problem, will help the tool.

And loading time was over 5minutes......I stopped after 5 Minutes to load

you load 15Gb in less than 10 seconds on an 970 Evo Plust with its 3500mb/s write speed.
you cant compare it to an USB? external harddrive lol
you probably have around 90mb/sec on that one or lower.

you also need alot of ram
32Gb is ideal for Daz 3D
if you have less than 15Gb thats also a problem

it sounds more like its time to upgrade :)

@ice2019

Come again with ~200+ g8 charcters and 500Go+ assets installed.
It's not how much morphed your character is, it's irrelevant, it's all about Daz preload.
And you're not loading 1 big file of 15Go, but ~100000 of smaller ones.
A SSD will sure help, but preload will still be long and heavy.
Daz doesn't need "a lot of RAM", proportionally speaking. Problems come when any scene could cut your amount of avalaible RAM in half due to that heavy preload (which now you can manage).

It shows.. "This app can't run on your pc"

I don't use the Zip installer but if it's a vanilla Daz install, you have to put the files in your "my library" folder (C:\Users\[User]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My library)

in the config.ini:

<Daz3DContentFolder>
-C:\Users\[User]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My library

<ZipFolder>
-C:\*where you download your Daz Zip files*

<MorphManagerFolder>
-data\morphmanager

<Daz3DMorphFolder>
-C:\Users\[User]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My library\data\daz 3d

i have it already
still every scene loads in about 10 seconds.
compared to 5+min ?
upgrade your fucking PCs so they match the work you do in Daz 3D
you are just trying to defeat an monster here with no luck

solve the base problems instead of circumvent them.
lack of mb/sec from the harddrives and short ass RAM is the main problem.

OMG
Oh, yes, then my son can see what he eats, then the problem is solved.
Do not you think we would upgrade immediately if we could.
If not, you should solve your base problems instead of circumvent them.
I only offer my help here.
If you do not need it, go on

Don't mind, it's just non-sense at this point.

'Morning bro. Problems ? For critical morphs (the one that remove a daz feature)?

I think it's the biggest flaw of your software.
The morphs used for autofit (the "clones" morphs ones) and maybe powerpose feature may use somes as well, should be highlighted in red or something with a fair warning. (There must be others if you look at, but it may be lot of work)

Hello. I would like to use this tool to manage assets. But I've encountered the following problem. After successful installation of a package it doesn't appear in Uninstaller tab. The tab remains completely empty and seems like there is no attempts to even search for installed content. At the same time if i check "Skip installed" option in Installer tab, the package isn't shown. So it's treated as installed here. Could you help me, please? Maybe it was my bad using the tool incorrectly?

Tool Version: 0.4.2
Windows 7
