VN - Ren'Py - DeadMoon Survival [v0.9.1] [Hot Tomato]

This has been the most amazing and hot game I've played. The mother and sister characters are stunning, the story is fantastic. And I simply couldn't stop playing because I wanted to know what could happen to this characters, I read the message in the latest chapter and I truly wish HotTomato returns to complete his masterpiece

I'm going to rate the game until the end of the content of version 0.8 , it means before Co-developer Ruykuri appeared delivering a sad speech.

-Story: I'm conflicted because the game gets really good after the first 3/4 of the game, sadly before that, it feels that the whole zombie apocalypse plot is nothing but an excuse to make the incestuous relationship flourish and that annoyed me a bit cause I love zombie games.

-Characters: They're ok, Elisabeth was the best IMO. Juliet is a bit insuferable and the MC is fine I suppose (a bit of an anime cliche dude though). Their models are kinda ugly, but you get used to them pretty fast, and It's NOT because of the engine.

-Render/Animations: They're fine.

-Music/Sounds: Great tunes and sounds.

-Other thoughts: I think the developer wanted to make a "slow-burn" in the wrong setup. It's sad that when the story was finally taking off, finally getting really interesting it was put on hold. Also, it's kinda sad that the hottest scenes are the mom's affair ones, they were great though. By the way, I really dislike in an AVN when I have to make a choice for any other character different than the MC, I mean ...if the mom was supposed to be a slut in the past so be it, dude, we can't change the past come on..

Overall the game was pretty good despite its issues. I hope that someday we get to see how this story ends. I'd say this game is an 8/10, worth checking out.

This is a mixed bag for me.
The biggest strength imo is the incest plotline. Good build up, decent amount of teasing to cook the sexual tension and fairly reasonable premise.
The post apocalyptic narrative though is just average overall. Could definitely be written better and take center stage. I feel like the incest story tends to smother the zombie plotline(which i assume is the main plot) too much.
The writing in essence is like an edgy anime & drama which i'm not a fan of. Now & then, another zombie VN is the opposite with mature writing & grounded narrative.

Now the characters, the mom and sister i think is written fine. Nothing exceptional, feels cookie cutter but fits within the context of the setting. The main protagonist though is unlikeable. Its the edgy teen who's ignorant about the reality they are in and thinks of themselves as a hero. Hate those kinda MCs, just so annoying overall. The only reason he ain't dead is due to plot armor. Of course this is a coming of age story for the MC but it falls flat and he still ends up being immature. Half the time i'm screaming at the MC; 'shut the fuck up you moron, you know nothing Jon Snow'. If you guys played NTR games, this MC is the kind of loser you're NTR'ing. He is the perfect MC for NTR games who gets cucked, if he loses plot armor. Now i don't hate weak protagonist, i've seen a few well written ones. I hate weak protagonist that are morons and are delusional with a hero complex but get carried anyway by plot armor.

As for the lewd scenes, i think its done well. Good choreography and sufficient scenes. Am not a fan of HS2 kinda gfx but i give credit where its due.

Imo, this VN would be significantly better with a different type of MC and pushing the post apocalyptic storyline more into the foreground.

Since 5.0 It got downhill rapidly.

More & more supernatural nonsense, a MC that is written like the chosen one yet still can't reach 3 Base while his M & S sorry
Caretaker & Roommate do 69 on regular bases.

This 9.0 update was the worst to me by far.
But would explain what years of teasing do to a boy he becomes a total Psycho. The writers watched far to much Manga cuz no one here in
reality-land behaves like the MC & his Fam, his Friends.

The dev's can't decide what they want a, sports car or a Humvee
consequentially endup with a mess that can't satisfy both audiences.

If you like endless teasing & Japanese Manga behavior you gonna
love it, me despite the "Family" content hates it, no relatable storytelling
or believable characters they all suffer from Bipolar disorder IMO.

Some parts are nicely written & the renders are good for the most part that's
why i can't give it more than 2 Stars.

Also at some point it became a spaghetti code, constantly producing error codes & messing up the saves. Ciao.

Amazing game with really good story incest feels right and good plus there some serious bussiness here if you like zombie survival plus incest this is for you well done and well made.

This is one of the best family bonding game for all types of tastes. As a game, it falls short, but I like the narrative and visuals. Additionally, the situations between the characters are very well-directed to be enjoyable, and if you're a fan of this type of genre, it’s very satisfying

How Long To Beat: 8+ hours (depending on reading speed)

(This review is based on playing the game with incest turned on and with the multi-mod installed.)

This is a top-tier slow-burn incest visual novel. GOAT MILF award goes to Elisabeth.

The story centers on a love/lust triangle between Elisabeth (mom), Juliet (twin sister to MC) and the main character (male twin). They are six-ish years into a zombie apocalypse and they are (seemingly) the only survivors. Romantic and sexual tension grows between each of the family members, despite all their attempts to maintain a normal traditional family life.

Gameplay: The story is mostly a kinetic visual novel. There are quick time events, there are choice-based situations that can end in game-over, and there are choice-based decisions that dictate the sexual escapades in the game. Beyond these choices, this is a character-based narrative-focused experience.

What Makes The Game So Good?: This is not a quick pump-and-dump game. If you're in the mood for a game that's quick to the sexual content and has guaranteed fucking every fifteen minutes, this game will disappoint. To be clear, there's plenty of sexual content, but the game is focused on sexy situations and the growing tension of the characters. This is a love triangle story focused on a mother, daughter and son (who are twins). They have experienced trauma and loss in their survival. Elisabeth, the mother, wants to give her (adult) children a normal life. This becomes immediately complicated as the twins start growing (and feeding) their sexual desires and lust. MC and Juliet are eighteen and in the thralls of pubescent horniness, but with no healthy outlet. They each individually start lusting for each other and their mother. Elisabeth is insistant on maintaining a traditional, healthy family, but each of her children's advances towards her and her growing lonely dissatisfaction starts breaking down these barriers. This means the sexual escapades have a reluctant "will-they/won't-they give into these desires" tension based on emotional, psychological and familial conflicts. It is (with some exceptions) thoughtful and well-written. The lesbian/bisexual relationship between Elisabeth and Juliet are especially sexy, with Juliet leaning into her sexual naivety to physically engage her mother in sexual "lessons" and Elisabeth fighting between a need to help her daughter, a belief in maintaining boundaries, and the excitement of their sexual chemistry.

I do think it's a fair warning that despite 8+ hours of gameplay, there isn't vaginal sex between MC + Elisabeth and MC + Juliet yet. Because they are worried about pregnancy, there is only anal sex scenes, which are both incredibly hot.

NTR: The game has a loose (or strict?) definition of NTR. Anything outside of the MC's relationship with the love interests are considered NTR. So Elisabeth and Juliet's lesbian relationship is considered NTR. Every NTR scene comes with an option to cater to the player's taste. So, for instance, if the player doesn't want to see Elisabeth and Juliet having sexual relationships, they can choose to avoid it. Or they can see some of the scene and then opt out before it gets too much. There are actual NTR scenes with Elisabeth and other (non-family) characters, told as flashbacks. You can choose to avoid them altogether, you can choose for Elisabeth to be a voyeur, you can choose Elisabeth to play with another woman only, or you can choose for Elisabeth to engage with a man and a woman at the same time. These scenes worked within the context of the story, and I was happy to have the choice for Elisabeth to have lesbian experiences that made sense for the character (but not with a man). Personally, I think Elisabeth and Juliet's sexual relationship is core to the experience and story, but I guess it's nice that it's an option for others.

Zombies!: The zombies in this game are modern traditional like Dawn of the Dead (2004), 28 Days Later, and Left 4 Dead. The zombies are fast, they are flesh-eating monsters, they communicate infection through bites, they must be killed by destroying the brain. There are also "specials" which are zombies that have mutated to have super qualities. The zombies are non-sexual creatures and aren't sexualized (outside of the occasional topless women zombies). They are a looming threat to the protagonists and there is zombie-killing action. The game has violence but isn't gory. I think it's the perfect mix.

Characters:

Elisabeth: I said it at the start of this review, Elisabeth is a GOAT MILF. She is in her late 30's. She is a dedicated mother. She is a widow, having lost her husband in the outbreak. She has become a bad-ass survival expert and is the main provider of the family. She is overly protective of MC and Juliet, refusing to let them help her go out on supply runs. She is a former teacher and is intelligent. She has soft features, blue eyes and a lovely face. She is tall and athletic, with perfect torpedo tits and a juicy ass. I love Elisabeth's breasts. They are proportionally large without being ridiculous, they have a natural perky sag (which more games need, in my opinion), and they get great animation during sexual scenes. Her internal battle of sexual reluctance, motherly love, lonely lust, strict parental boundaries and a secret naughty side make her one of the most compelling mothers in adult visual novels.

Juliet: The MC's twin sister. She's bisexual, in that she has romantic feelings for her brother, but shows more sexual interests towards women, especially her mother. She's athletic, trained in martial arts, and is headstrong to the point of obstinance. She playfully bullies her brother, especially about his perverted proclivities. She is the more daring, outgoing and confident of the siblings. She has small perky tits and a cute round ass. She is sexually dominant towards her brother, often pushing him further while teasing him, but sexually submissive to her mother (although she grows more assertive as she confronts her mother's reluctance).

MC: An intelligent, introverted bookworm plagued with the most trauma of the family. He has psychological scars that immobolize him with fear, which makes him a liability rather than asset when it comes to the zombies. As the story progresses, his confidence and abilities grow. While he's often passive to his family's demands, he becomes more assertive and confident in his abilities to provide for his family. He is thoughtful and diffident to his family. This isn't a game where MC becomes a corrupting force; all of the sexual advances are organic. Despite starting the story as a bit of a wimp, there are implications that he has potential to become a powerful force in the apocalypse.

Pacing: Remarkably great. While there are some redundancies and some weird contradictory dialogue (specifically in the later game, where characters have had sexual encounters but seemingly forget some of the details, ie, "This is the first time giving MC a blowjob" even though it's the second time), I very rarely found myself clicking through dialogue to progress the story. The balance between story, character interactions and then sexual content is great. While the game is slow-burn, I think a better term is methodical. There are many moments in the 2nd half of the game where you may get three sex scenes in a row, but there are also times where you may have thirty minutes of story.

Sound Design: Great. Play it with headphones, especially during the sex scenes.

Animation: Varies from Great to Awesome, especially as the game progresses. There are late-game sexual animations that are some of my favorites from adult gaming.

Overall: This is a well-written, aesthetically pleasing, well-animated visual novel with a top-tier incest story. If you like incest games, this is essential.

Highly Recommended in general, a Must Play for Incest Fans. I give it a 4.5 out of 5, and round it up to be generous.

The game is currently unfinished and ends on a cliffhanger with seemingly large implications. I anxiously await the next part of the story, but who knows if it will maintain it's quality and charm as it progesses.

Story 5/5 A very bare bones Last of US with a focus on sex instead of action is the best way to put it. There is a little action but not the main focus of the story.

Character Renders 4.5/5 Models are great, the tan lines are nice added touch of realism. They all look related which is nice. Only knock is the hard lines between body and the head in some views.

Characters 5/5 Very realistic. Mom acts like a real mom. Sister acts like a sibling. About as realistic as it gets for consensual incest.

Choices 4/5 MC is either more passive or more assertive and a couple of bad endings. Simple and immersive and doesnt get bogged down.

Sex 4.5/5 Very slow burn and very hot. Scenes can be tad on the shorter side when in the action in the first half of the game. Build up is perfect though.

MC 5/5 Blends self insert and having some character of his own real nice.

Overall its the best mom, son, and sister slow burn game on this site.

There is no shortage of incest games, but man this is the most emotionally and sexually charged incest AVN I have ever come across. Playing Deadmoon is akin to getting edged and blue balled constantly to the point that you quietly scream “Ram it in! Ram it in!” by the time the 10th sex scene arrives.

Story
The story is that of standard zombie post apocalypse, MC is stuck in an abandoned school with his mother (Elisabeth) and sister (Juliet) and players go through their daily interactions. Despite the setting, there is very little zombie action in the first 6 - 7 hours of the game. The story up to V0.5 is heavily concentrated around the SLOWLY intensifying sexual relationship not only between MC and Elisabeth / Juliet but also between Elisabeth and Juliet.

You need to enjoy incestuous slow burn to get through the initial stage because there will be very limited action / adventure outside the school and hints of a greater plot are few and far between, but the sexual tension between all three characters in the school is very well crafted and immersive.

When things start to heat up at the latter of V0.6, the developer combines adrenaline raw action with twisted sibling love seamlessly to bring the whole experience to a mini climax by the end of V0.7. The script and dialogue is magnificent and lifts up to being a true visual novel.

Game Mechanics
Straight forward AVN with choices that allows you to skip scenes, otherwise it’s mainly kinetic.

Background / Character Renders
The backgrounds at the start are standard Honey Select stuff as most of the action takes place in a generic school anyway. At the latter stages when the party roams around the infested city, they are detailed and convincing. There is also smart use of color shadings and lighting that hints at underlying tension and depression which fits in nicely with the story background.

Character renders are “controversial” because although built with Honey Select, they are geared towards the end of realism instead. As a result they share levels of ruggedness seen in Daz3D renders - Elisabeth looks like a sturdy MILF of her age (unlike HS middle aged female models that tend to look like mid 20s) and Juliet comes across as tough, manly with a chiseled face from some angles instead of a cute Anime high school archetype we are familiar with.

I love this approach as it makes the game far more immersive and the LIs are more believable and easy to invest in emotionally given the cruel story world.

Character Development
This is a through and through incest game without harem, so you only have two LIs who are your mother and sister. It is also multi-protagonist so you witness events from multiple POVs though MC still retains majority. This allows the game to devote plenty of time to develop each of the three characters individually.

MC starts off as a wimp and by the end of V0.8 has grown significantly stronger and more confident. Juliet starts off as a bitch twin who makes snide remarks at MC all the time but this slowly changes to that of love and inter-dependency at a later stage.

However Elisabeth behaves illogically most of the time - always preaching about morals and then next moment indulging in various sexual activities with her son and daughter. She exists as a critical plot device to highlight the wrongness of incest constantly thus amplifying the kink and depravity, but that also makes her character inconsistent and unconvincing consequently.

Sex Scenes
Many of them but in a slow burn fashion. Each subsequent scene pushes the envelope slightly forward and stops just when you think something big is about to happen. If you are expecting a quick pounding for fap, then this ain’t the game for you, but if you value a slow slide into debauchery then yea it’s top notch.

The ever teasing dialogue and constant “no this is wrong” from Elisabeth backed by appropriate dramatic BGM and nice animations brings incest sex to a whole new level.

BGM and Sound Effects
Appropriate use of BGMs that convey a sense of tension and hopelessness in the school and brings out the danger and excitement during zombie sequences. Sound effects are standard fare but used appropriately especially door banging and zombie growls.

Conclusion
Deadmoon is not for everyone - it focuses on and only on incest i.e. there are no other LIs. The character models are HS but unconventionally bend towards realism while the slow burn is really slow. It’s a game where you need to enjoy the incestuous journey instead of constantly looking for an outcome.

The story hints at something supernatural in the future and some new characters are slowly being introduced, so that could break the monotony in the future. All in the story’s just beginning even at V0.8 and things could get even better going forward.

Top notch story telling makes everything else that much better. The characters have believable thoughts in a not so believable future. The family relationships start out like any other story and then are slowly re-crafted and beautifully weaved into the a futuristic setting rife with incestual compulsion. Top 3 on my all time list.

This game is a hidden gem imo, the renders not as amazing as the top rated HS games but still looking good especially the Mom ( for some reason i really love her looks ).

If i want to be nitpicking then i would say that the lesbian and minor NTR scene are not my thing and i was hoping that the works on those 2 scenes would be better if allocated it to Mom & Son or Brother & Sister scenes instead.

Another thing that i wanted to be in the game is 1-2 new girls being added in the game so we can have varieties of sex scenes. overall the game still good despite all the minor stuff that i really dislike, a science fiction as a core story and nice build up of the relationship and not just your typical meet and fuck.

and the reason for that is because a big majority of the game has the main character stuck in one place for 70-80% of the game.

in the beginning the game takes a day by day approach which allows you to get to know the characters and their routines better and I found this part kinda miserable since I already didn't like the sister off rip

as the game goes on you get flashbacks to when the apocalypse started and this to my knowledge is the only plausible NTR content in the game

this game had some humorous moments but they were few and far between and incest is not my thing thus not really into that side of the game
and right as I was about to hop off the game something incredible happened

the characters decided to break their monotonous routine

when that happened I decided to stay up an extra 30 mins and in those thirty minutes I witnessed peak fiction
it was nearing the end of the 7th chapter that I had finally gotten an erection not because of the visuals but because of the peak writing that was in front of me
I was looking around my room in disbelief and I was thinking to myself, where had this been for the past 3 hours
it took me 6 chapters to witness that moment and it was worth it
def give this game a try but give it time you wont be disappointed

It was engaging till the third time the same thing happened. I want [sex] > get some [sex] > incest is bad. Repeat. (Sex being, usually, masturbate tbh, with the ocasional kissing)


If she, at least tried to give a reason why it's bad instead of just saying "nuh-uh" and then proceding to fap her son, or they at least tried to argue with her that, hey, it's either incest or nothing, but no, they are too afraid to say anything, but just about that! About everything else? The conversations are "deep" and have a back-and-forth of some kind.

It's just such a pacebreaker, it completely ruins the immerson of "real people surviving" for no reason, the game isn't that deep or anything, but it was a good read, strong foundations and all.

Game is a big disappointment, I don't know what to say?

Well, even if I forced my self to give high rate to this game, then what the hell I even supposed to say?

Well, let's the start with the most basic and important part about AVNs.

Renders and graphics:- man you tell me, what you want to say?
You can already guess the quality, but still 0.8v was lil better than before, however it doesn't changed the fact that all of the characters looks ugly, only MCs mom looks somewhat a little good.

Lis:- As I already said they look ugly, but the most ugliest girl is MC sister, she looks more like a man, just the opposite of MC, where isaac(MC) looks like a sissy a femboy, where her sister looks like a true male with strong muscles if you into femdom then this game is for you.

To make this review short, I just wanted to say if you're too bored then you can give this game a shot, but still for me it's not worth playing, nothing I find interesting however the cliffhanger got me but still for me this game was always a side where I play this game while I'm too much bored or when I'm on holidays.....lol.

Oh man again same pathetic MC, although this one is little bit different, it's been almost an year since I touched this game.

I played this game co-writer's game, MC is not much different almost same you can say.

It's not just about MC but there's more, but let's start with good things.

1st. Writing is good, I have to give that writing is pretty good, you won't have any problems while reading and 2nd story is kinda interesting, I'm always a fan of this type of story.

Now to talk about what things i dislike.

1st. I will start with MC, protagonist whatever you say, there's a male protagonist, MC called isaac, even though it have multiple protagonist tag you can guess, who's the main character his default name is isaac only his name is changeable, that's the proof of he's a main character (MC)
Now back to point he's so much pathetic now what faults he have?

i. He's a total simp, perving on your sister who's insufferable, just a typical perverted MC (who thinks I see hole I will goal).

ii. I have no idea how much strength he have but i can say he's a weak-ass can't even match your sister, his endurance is almost zero, just one punch from his sister, he not only just knockout blood starting to bleed out of his nose with just one punch, that's our MC.

iii. Not his thought and activities just childish but looks like a 12 yeah or 13 year old kid, specially his height I don't think his height is more than 4 feet, or maybe around 4.5 feet too.
There's a lil bit more but no point talking about that, let's move on.

2nd. About lis (love interests)
Mainly there's 2 love interest, your mom and your sis.

One thing doesn't make sense at all, in zombie apocalypse why? I mean how they can wear heavy makeup? They looks like came from some kind of beauty parlour....lol.
When you pay attention their figure is really ugly, MC mom face is beautiful because but her body doesn't interest me much, his sister ahaha I don't even know what to say, she not only have ugly body but also have a weird face sometimes I feel like it's better if she's a boy (and MC)
Despite how ugly she's, her attitude isn't good, her attitude towards MC doesn't seems any good, calling him pervert (but lusting on your own mom lol) beating your brother ass and so on..........

About renders the rework was good, designing of the characters was not much appealing, one thing I have skin texture was good though despite their ugly body skin texture was it's shows dev potential.

Sound effects was good too, because of sound effects i got the courage to continue this game, animation was ok, I don't usually listen to music, so can't say anything about music (so yeah it's upto you how you like it)
I'm giving 2 stars because of writing, sound effects and story.

There's a lot more to say, but I won't gonna say it will change nothing, anyway game is about to complete so no point of writing an essay.

THE BEST

One of the best thing I found here is story, like story is really really amazing, and story is the only thing I play visual novel I don't care much about lewd scenes honestly, if story is good then I would say it's worth trying, not the best but decent enough I can say for others who's gonna try, and that cliffhanger was something else man.

Honestly I think the designing of characters is not so good, I won't even say it's good, around average I think, but I don't like the designing much, the only character I like is male protagonist mother she's kinda sweet and beautiful too specially her eyes.

THE WORST

There's is many thing I don't like about this game like male protagonist sister, she's kind of...........how to say......she's like a real male or a real protagonist it's seems sometime, I don't like her attitude towards male protagonist and she seems to be a real alpha male, she's exactly opposite of male protagonist mother, his mother is sweet,beautiful, caring and on ther hand his sister ugh! I don't even want to talk about, she's a bit ugly honestly I think, she's arrogant too, annoying af too, too many things I don't like about her.

About Male Protagonist "Isaac" ugh! Man can't you make a decent MC?
He's a simp without a doubt, he's a wimp too, his sister make him look like a wimp and a weak-ass many times, he even look too average and too young like 12 or 13 year old boy, I hope after that cliffhanger he become a badass, in my opinion MALE protagonist should have some decent personality, if there's graphic Violence then give him some strength too, NEVER said and NEVER gonna say make him a gigachad.
Just decent personality and giving solid reply to annoying girls like his sister is enough I can say, it's pretty common how people showing male protagonist as a simp, and how he always got beat up by girls, I don't like passive male protagonist, that's all I have to say.

I hope in next update MC become a badass, cliffhanger was amazing, looking forward to where it all ends.

Amazing game. The story is really good enough to get me hooked up, the dialogues are also well written.

I look forward to how the story will develop now that we know Isaac is immune to the virus and has some connection with the other infected, although it seems his "spider sense" only works with them and not with normal humans considering how he was captured.

Also i really like how Elisabeth and Juliet can kick ass, they aren't some dumb and cliché dansel in distress, in fact they saved Isaac several times.

And i quite liked the sex scenes, even if all the blue balling until we reached them almost killed me.

This is one amazing game and i am very happy that i found it.

Story, environment and character writing is soo good.
Slow burn is what makes it that good.
It's not straight to sex and characters are not hungry for sex, that's a plus point for me.
As they are related their interactions feels believable,Character writing is somewhat realistic. The sexual tension and lewd situations which it creates is epic. Hoping for quicker updates, nice job done by the devs

I'm only 30 minutes in but this is already really good.

The music is really good, it doesn't feel like placeholder it's actually fitting the scenes and enjoyable and not the usual ones we always hear in these games.

I like the sister and MC I feel like they really have their personality. I think the mother is OK but would need to see further to confirm.

And the story so far is engaging, I really want to see what happens next.

Edit: 2 hours in, and honestly there are some really really great scenes.. Both H-scene and normal ones. I love it, the more I see of the sister the more she's my favorite character, she's flawed in an amazing way
