Deardrops.jpg
Overview:
Shouichi was known as one of the ‘nobles’ of the violin world. Having started playing the violin when he was 3, he won the national violin competition when he was in middle school and went to Germany to play in orchestras. However, due to unknown reasons, he returned to Japan, gave up playing the violin and became a freeter. One day, he starts working at a live house and meets many other amateur musicians who are living their lives their own way. Together they will have to overcome obstacles in both their personal lives and as a band. To Shouichi, the live house is a new beginning in a new place… a new world which has opened to him when he thought that his future as a musician had closed.

Beeen looooooooooong time since i played this. Super Vanilia Romance VN.
Don't expect much if you're going to play this. The story is abit on the boring side but decent. if you have time to spend,
I would recommend it No problem at all ^_^

It was always such a huge downer that the crossover with KiraKira ended up being all ages. That's probably why I never bothered playing either game. I was afraid if I really got into either one, all I'd have to look forward to was blue balls-inducing fandisc.

Well I don't think the porn is good enough in either one to get you hooked for more. So of you like it you gonna like it for the characters and the story in which case you will enjoy the fan disc.

I really recommend this to enyone, who want to read a VN centered around music and bands. The whole problems including the band, band members and preformances really got me invested, not to mention I love it when the music kicks in. It gives you the same enyoment, when an MC does something awsome in a sports anime. The characters are good and they have a fun chemistry so it's enyoable to watch them interact.

The music can be a hit and miss depending on, if you like japanese style of music. If you like it then you gonna probably like the soundtrack and the bigger concerts in the VN.

Kira kira was about growing up and this VN is about accepting your past failures and going forward. The problem I had with both is the band and music part kinda dies off at some point. Only this VN-s true route stayed focused on the band but sadly none of them ends with the band making it big. I was hopeing for it, especially in this one so I was a little bit dissapointed. The other problem with this one, is that out of the four heroine 2 get a much shorter route and feel like side heroines. Hell, one of them could had an interesting story including her father, but they never touched on that topic.

Still I recommend reading this, since I really enjoyed the whole thing :D Also, it would be a good idea to read Kira Kira before this, so understand some references the game makes :p

My biggest gripe about this game is that only 2 routes feel that they were really fleshed out, that being for Riho and Kanade.

Lol yes agree it's a classic and appeals more to people like me who loves a good story with a bit of spice in it.
As much as I love H-games I do love a good story with only a bit of smut in it some times >.<

I like Kira Kira a lot more than Deardrops, but there's no denying that it has its own wonderful charm. There are a lot of musical VN, but none going rock and roll like these two.

This game is worth playing for Riho alone, other routes aren't as good C: Riho I say!
