Hello everyone, I don't know if I have the correct forum but it did say general questions so, I have about 90 games loaded in F95 checker, 10 of those games are abandoned, dead moon survival, desire of fate, heart problems, in a scent, juno's task, no more money, stormside , stray incubus, tainted heritage a.k.a weird shit is going to happen and the spellbook. My question is when a game becomes abandoned does everyone keep the game installed praying that someday the developer will finiah the game or it might be picked up by someone to finish or does everyone delete the abandoned games? I know that someone might think this is a stupid question but I'm trying to find out what everyone else does with their abandoned games? any help would be appreciated

Abandoned doesn't mean much other than a game hasn't been updated and the dev has gone radio silent on their usual platforms for a certain amount of time. Lots of games get updated at some point, but then some games don't. It's just a luck of the draw kind of thing, really. Unless you can get ahold of the dev and find out yourself.

Are you playing them or plan to, whether or not there is ever another update for them?
If yes, that answers your question.

If you only plan to play if there is another update, keep the save files and free up HDD space and reduce clutter.

Also, remember that "abandoned" is simply a flag used by F95Zone to denote games that haven't seen activity for certain periods of time - not necessarily that the game is actually never going to get an update. There are some flagged abandoned because the developers made it known as such. There are others that due to obvious developer inaction that also make it clear the games likely will not see an update. However, simply because it is flagged does not make it so. Also, there are many games that due to F95 rules about the flag should be flagged, but are not because no one is reporting them for the flag.

This is one reason why being a little active in the threads of games you follow might be more informative than using an automated checker.

I delete the grand majority of abandoned games. I only keep the rare ones that I really liked when they died (A.O.A. Academy, for example). Not because I have any hope of them coming back, only cause I enjoy re-reading them from time to time.

thank you for taking the time to respond, it is very kind of you, some of the games that were abandoned were very good in my opinion so if they were to ever become unabandoned on completed than yeah I'd definitely would play them again, also the reason why I asked this question is to not keep games that are abandoned taking up space, I'll create a separate folder and save them on another hard drive just in case, thank you again for the help.

It depend on the game, because as said above "abandoned" doesn't mean that the game will never continue. For some I keep the whole archived game, for others just the save files, and for some I keep nothing at all.
