Deleting Previous Games

Hi All,
Can you delete a previous release of a game and keep the latest version, with out losing your progress. The games are large file and are starting to fill storage space on my computer. Thanks LiveWire

Ren'py (the engine most games use) games pretty much always store saves in some system folder where they won't be deleted if you delete the game, and will still be present (though not necessarily compatible) for future versions / installations of the game. Whereas RPGM pretty much always stores saves in the game's own folder, so you better back them up before deleting the game.

Most renpy games have a back up folder found at PC/appdata/roaming/renpy that even if you delete the game the save files are still there unless you go there and delete them.

RPGM games usually save in the game folder/www/save while others will have their save files placed loosely in the game folder somewhere. So you just have to make sure to look before deleting.
