After 23h of playtime, I finally finished this behemoth of a game. It’s passable, but not all good. Since it took so damn long to complete this thing, not holding back on the review either. 3.5/5, but 4 because I believe the dev really tried the best he or she could.

TL;DR: Eye-Catching supernatural religious VN with OCD sex loop that runs waaay too long. Brilliant in flashes, but often misguided and tone deaf. Only play for time to kill or if you fancy having unconnected porn intermissions pop up every 10 minutes.

Blood is the spice of life. No idea who actually said that, but it's definitely what deliverance is all about. This game is long - too long - but it makes for an epic supernatural experience. Or an abysmal detective experience. It all depends on how you look at things. There's a great game hidden underneath a pile of blood.

STORY
Let me be clear - THIS IS NOT A DETECTIVE GAME. Baited into playing this and about 3 hours in, the whole detective angle is completed. When things go supernatural, it seems like there is no end in sight. I quit playing and came back at least 4 times. Took 23h for a playthrough and that could easily have been reduced to 10 - 12 hours if the game’s quality had been increased. That said, if you're into story just for passing time you'll get more than enough of it.

The overall story has potential and you feel the developer took time out to research cults, symbolism and supernatural powers. Not exactly my preference when it comes to subjects, but at times the level of detail is commendable. Sadly, writing is at times flat and uninspiring. Has high moments, but also tonedeaf ones that make your guts turn around. It's precisely a mixed bag.

Characters help sell a couple dozen moments, most notably MC’s wife. But even waifu is subject to occasional weird poses, incorrect facial expressions and behavior devoid of reasoning. It all stems from the amount of content - with thousands of renders, I feel quality often sacrificed quantity. The second half of the game especially feels too cluttered with filler content, for the dev to ultimately speedfeed explanations in the final chapter. Pacing seems a bit off because of it.

Although I like the game’s idea of blurring the line between bad and good, it’s often hard to tell due to stereotypical responses. Wifey is a bit of an exhibitionist, your case partner is focused on anal (because she’s got a big ass), dinner girl has nice feet and is into leg fetish. The main sidekicks have a few plot points that arcs their character appropriately, but the moment sex kicks in, all development is halted. The main threat isn’t explained until the final, final moments which doesn’t allow you to build a feeling around it.

GRAPHICS
It truly feels like two different games - a VN about supernatural powers and one about sex-crazed friends - forcefully combined. One moment you’re grieving about a senseless death and the immediate next your wife asks you to pull your dick out for kicks. When taken as two separate games, they work better - but together it’s a chaos that lessens the experience.

If you’re here for sex encounters and funsies however, there are a lot of sex scenes in this game. From random quickies to fetishes and even sharing and swapping - I’ve had at least 30 scenes in my playthrough and I took the ‘wifey first’ route. Imagine what the other routes are like. It’s a sex circus, but somehow they refrained from ‘supernatural’ sex scenes.

GAMEPLAY
There are a lot of choices to make in this game and while not all impactful, it mainly breaks down into a ‘hero’ and ‘villain’ tree. Other reviews reveal that the villain path would actually be more fun, but I think the hero arc is the original story. I had Ending 6 of 8, so that tells you how much of a paragon I was. A perfect life.

OVERALL
This game could really benefit from a remaster. There’s diamond level material in there if you look for it, but it’s hidden under piles and piles of monotonous cycles. Glad I experienced it, but if you’re looking for a killer story - please look elsewhere or find some let’s plays.

I mean, it's not the worst game ever, but it was completely unrewarding.
Most of the girls are strange looking, with impossible proportions. It's not good. The sex scenes are good, but nothing special. That's if they're according to your fetish. This game appears to be specifically written for a public sex fetish, and a swinging fetish, neither of which are my thing. You can opt out of the swinging, but the public sex is required.
For some fucked up reason, breast implants are treated as normal and not at all suspect. One of the characters brags about her fake boobs, another says she's thinking about fake boobs, and nobody says to her "your boobs are great" (they're not, but they're not tiny, and even if they were, boobjobs are ugly, and perpetuate the cycle of unconfidence.)
Then, there's the story. The writing itself is decent, but the plot is, umm, bad. There's some stuff about a demon, the protagonist and their team don't get to make any meaningful choices , the plot ending is a weird mix of deus ex machina and just incomplete concepts.
The epilogues/endings are horrific. The one I got was challenging Game of fucking Thrones; the shit that happened wasn't based on the characters' decisions or characters. The other two endings I looked at weren't good either. One was a trite, emotionless, happyish ending, and the other one was the writer forcing Ugh. I am not glad I played this. Not in the slightest.
It would probably be 2 stars but for the boobjob thing. Encouraging women to get cosmetic surgery isn't good. This shit matters. Why do you think that like 80% of female pornstars end up getting boobjobs? Shit like this. It's not the worst boob-image-health-stuff game, but it's certainly a fucking problem.

When you ask on a random forum for VNs recomendations, Deliverance always makes an appearance, but does it really stands out to be "one of the best"?

Story: 3 Almost-Hard Bananas out of 5
Deliverance begins like a good detective fiction but it goes really overboard when supernatural elements are forced into the narrative, this happens really abruptly and the detective fiction is thrown through the window not long after when you realize you have to fight to prevent the apocalypse...Or making it happen, depending on your actions.
The story is told directly and too quickly, leaving you feeling like you missed something for clicking too fast.
To sumarize: The story is too ambitious for its own good.

Characters: 4 Solid Bananas out of 5
The girls look good overall, Dahlia and Katherine look reaaaally similar, but it doesnt matter. They all have their charm.
Depending on your actions, some characters may behave accordingly, this is really good, your decisions matter on this VN.
This apartment received 4/5 exclusively for Rose, whose destiny seems to be written in stone, regardless of your decisions.
MC is a Gary Stu, but we all realize that just by reading the overview.

There's a lot of scenes, you can share your wife if that floats your boat for some reason, or dont.
Some scenes may be hero or villain path related, so depending on your decisions you may lock yourself from some content on your current run.

Ending: 2 Resting Bananas out of 5
There's 8 endings in total, but only 3 of them feel original and the rest are just variations.
At the end I can say that being a Hero doesnt feel rewarding at all, while being a Villain you can keep literally everyone on your harem...Again, everyone except Rose.

Deliverance has content to offer is true, but storywise it fails to deliver a consistent narrative when this should be its main strong point, so on this department It's a bit overrated and it fails to leave a memorable experience.

It's probably the best game with the perfect reveal of NTR and Swinging! NTR is not in the Japanese sense, where the MC is constantly humiliated, but an adequate MC, not a wimp, without humiliation. The sex scenes are top notch, the MC's wife is perfectly written, and looks good. There are slight problems with the story, it concerns more the final part, but nevertheless, this is a story, not a simple point and click and fuck everyone!
It's a pity that the developer in his next game went slightly into another genre, also great, even better will be, but there is not such a great disclosure of characters, and disclosure of such tags.

I gotta admit straight up that I feel this game is pretty overrated. Story is pretty decent in the beginning, but it starts to feel very draggy after some time. Found myself having the urge to skip some dialogues half-way through. Characters are pretty one dimensional, and the flow of story gets interrupted from time to time. There's also a lot of night time scenes which makes the game very dark. I did however manage to finish this game still.

Pros:

-Mediocre and hard to follow plot
-Repetitive and annoying poses (Katherine's airplane pose)

-Decisions can be pretty confusing at times

This AVN has a semi-linear story with multiple endings. The models are extremely sexy and the romance options range from staying with MC's wife to moving on with one of a handful of very sexy women. Lots of sexual content. IMO, the writing was subpar and the story may have been overly ambitious. There are many serious/sexual relationships that simply cease at various points in the story - no story or dialog explanation. The flow of the story gets frequently interrupted. Overall, the ideas/concepts of the story are interesting and unraveling the mystery of what's happening is something I found myself getting invested in. If you're not overly worried about the story, this AVN has more than enough hot renders and scenes to be worth checking out.

I suppose the easiest way to start would be to mention how bad the writing is. Everything is written to just be so straight forward and cookie cutter. All the characters are one dimensional and they all talk so basic. There is no sophisticated dialogue here, and I doubt any word with more than 6 letters was ever used. This means that all the different characters, with their own unique "personalities" are all just the same basic thing but with different kinks attached to them. The writing also causes serious problems because scenes seem to jump all over the place and there aren't any filler scenes or explanations in the writing to how people got to certain places or how characters learned information. It feels very disconnected from itself. There are scenes where I genuinely thought I had accidentally double clicked or something because it would go from a scene of the MC saying yeah we could do that and then just bam, he's in a totally different location with different characters. What the hell happened? This is all really unfortunate because the girls are pretty hot, even if they do all look like they are in their late 30's early 40's for some reason. I do like the availability of the different kinks in the game but there's of course a big problem with it. Unless you go down the be an asshole route, you're going to miss almost everything. If you want to be nice and be the "hero" as the game says, you are not going to see a LOT of the kinks. Only after using a gallery mod did I truly see just how many different kinks and scenes were in the game but locked out from me because I didn't want to be a comic book villain. Some of the kinks I was forced to see even though I wasn't interested in them in the slightest, like exhibitionism for example. Want to bang your wife? Well there's exhibitionism and you don't get to avoid that unless you want to not bang your wife. Also, there's no way to get with all of the other women unless you want to be a cheating asshole, which again blends in with the whole hero and villain thing. Later on in the game there are also new variables introduced randomly like control and trust and again it's locked to this whole hero or villain thing. What if I do want to dominate some girl but I don't want to be a comic book villain asshole? Well too bad you can't. Ultimately, I think I could keep going on and on about the serious flaws in this game such as the mediocre story or the strong pushing of certain kinks even though you avoid those options, but I believe I have made the point I've wanted to make. The game is just mediocre and locks too much content behind different routes which are again locked behind being an asshole or being nice. A sad conclusion for a promising title.

This is an odd game.

Katherine is a beautiful and loveable character, though very one dimensional. Sarah is much deeper even if her personality seems to be based entirely around her ass. Katherine's sharing scenes were done extremely well and we easily the best made scenes for me. Rose was good too but got much less screentime than the others.

However the LIs all had weird poses happening all the time. You would be talking about something random like work and the LIs, especially Katherine, would cycle through an airplane pose, a sexy hands on head pose, a hands against the wall ass out pose, and a weird body contortionist pose. It was extremely jaring and took me out of the conversation a lot because they didn't fit the tone at all.

The dialogue was jaring too. Topics would change abruptly from one sentence to the next with no transition and I found myself using the back button several times because I thought that I skipped over something. This was prevalent throughout and really took away from being able to view characters as real people, especially combined with the random dance poses they would switch through.

Lastly, there were a lot of nighttime scenes where the brightness was so low that it was hard to make them out. I would say a good 50% of the game was like this and I had to check my brightness settings several times because I thought that my tablet had switched it down.

Simply put, there were several choices which deliberately pulled me out of the game and made it hard for me to follow or get into the story. I couldn't take the girls seriously with their random poses, I couldn't follow the plot with constant topic changes, and I couldn't see the game with the overly dark backgrounds. It took away from what was otherwise a decent game.

I give 5 stars solely for Sarah's ass. One of the best I've seen in VN.
I found the relationships to move quite quickly, this game lacks the slowness. The animation, camera angles and rendering are decent. Definitely worth playing!

One of the rare top notch games which provides certain satisfaction no matter what path you are following. While the story overall feels kinda chamberish and conditional, it is hard to expect something global from, you know, an adult game. The greatest advantage of this one is a great variety of choices and all of them feel personal and engaging. It's a shame that there are not so many games like this one, which offer you a possibility to be an ultimate (or not ultimate) evil.

However renders may feel first kind of average, it is not the greatest advantage of Deliverance. Yet, overall, they start looking quite likeable and functional as you proceed deeper into the story.

My humble opinion is simply 5 stars.

I originally played this game back in 2019 and decided to wait until it was finished before reviewing it. So here we are.

I honestly do not understand all of the high praise for this game. Others have commented on it being attributed to an overall low bar for quality or a simple thirst for content. There is a 5-star worthy game here, but way too many things have gone wrong.

The characters – Katherine is by far the best-looking character in the game. She’s probably one of the better looking VN character models I’ve seen. Sarah’s body looks deformed because of her huge ass. And because of said tank ass she is, of course, an anal slut. Rose has a similar issue. She’s supposed to be fit, but parts of her body look disproportioned. Also, when they are talking some of their dialogue poses make them look like they are dancing. For example, Katherine will often do an airplane pose. And while a few of the animations are fairly good, most are pretty janky.

The writing – The writing isn’t the best. There is no narrative text, so the pacing is terrible. There are also numerous spelling and grammar errors. I couldn’t speculate as to the cause.

The Story – While attempting to be imaginative it’s way too long. Several times the demon says things will be over soon, and 12 hours later you’re still going. It’s like the dev was making it up as he went and when he felt like it was time to end it, he suddenly came up with an idea he thought was cool and inserted it in. Because if the terrible pacing the story can sometimes be convoluted and hard to follow. A demon returning to Earth isn’t exactly an original idea, but not one I’ve seen done a lot in VNs. So I’ll give the dev credit for that.

There are different dialogue paths you can take…hero or villain. There are also times you can choose to either trust the characters or control them. There are also 8 different endings. Unfortunately there is no harem ending, or pregnancy.

I would have finished the game but for some reason, despite using the walkthrough mod and choosing all the hero options, I got to a point where I only got a single option that was listed as the villain option with no LI routes. I don’t know what I could have possibly done wrong or whatever it was, but I was done right there. I doubt I’ll ever revisit this game. Which is a shame because it’s the only game I’ve seen with Katherine’s character model, and I think she’s gorgeous.

There is clearly an audience for this game. I’m just not one of them. Which is sad. I really wanted this game to be good.

Pros:
- Amazing story, mystical atmosphere, the game keeps you in suspense till the very end.
- All girls are very beautiful with good written characters, kinks, flaws etc.
- Very interesting mechanics with Hero/Villain, Teammates/Control pints which define the endings you can reach during your playthrough.
- Great renders and animations.
- There are 8 endings so far, that gives you a plenty of space for experimenting.

Cons:
- In the middle of the game MC was a bit of obsessed with anal sex (I am not a fan) and it got a bit annoying, but that probably because at the start I chose Sarah over Rose and she likes that stuff. But in the end game fully compensated that.
- I could define the presence of Sharing path with Katherine (NTR) as a bad point, but it's fully avoidable and depends only on your choice.

Short conclusion:
Since the start I was like full in, and was really enjoying the game till the very end. I've got 8th ending naturally from my 1st attempt without guides and other stuff, and I think this is the best ending in the game (if you are into romance) - you end up as a Hero with Dahlia. Oh man, Dahlia is a top girl (Tier1 girl), very very cute, one of the most beautiful girls in AVN world (my humble opinion)

Excellent CG, gripping storyline albeit a bit confusing towards the end. All in all a good package with a clean interface with acceptable level of 'grind' to see the CGs. Variety in storyline makes up for the grinding.

Engrossing story and characters. Like most other people, I loved Kat but not so impressed by other girls.

Only negative, maybe the girls could've been little more natural looking. Enhanced assets just don't look appealing to many of us.

There is a lot of the scenes and many characters. The graphics and the renders look pretty good. But the whole story is quite timewasting and does ruin the mood, if you want to keep track of everything. It is like made to skipping.

One of most pristine stories that I've seen here, it's really refreshing among repetitive topics, it requires visionary mind to come up with and it takes courage to swim in uncharted waters .

As a result we have a unique experience , different paths , various endings, numerous choices that are determining , gorgeous characters and artwork, it's really lovely.
In most stories depiction of character's corruption is not glorious, here it is brilliant and captivating , that is a remarkable achievement , story theme sometimes could be scary and intimidating which is great, it adds to story's weight.

Deliverance is an enchanting exceptional experience.

one of my favorite games, beautifully detailed graphics great sharing scenes i'm a fan, Kat is beautiful and very attractive, interesting plot of the investigation which is the strong point of the game because the main character is a detective and is really good at his job and a lot of different endings available,I rate in this genre 5 stars.

It pains me that this game started out so strong and then just falls off and not only does it fall off the renders don't really improve at all so while other games come out that may be less appealing story wise, I would much rather play them than some game that looks the same in episode 1 as it does in the last episode.


A remake and redoing of certain story elements would probably make this an absolute must play but as it is its kind of a let down, especially the swinging part.

Also we get it, Sarah has a huge ass, its a shame the model itself looks like complete garbage.

One of the best games out here. Especially loved Kat's sharing scenes. Must play if you're into swinging/sharing. The choices also allow you to completely avoid the sharing routes. Loved the different character models as well.
