I thought you might be referring to a DJ since that was the first result I found online, but otherwise, this word doesn’t really have much meaning. The way it’s pronounced in English doesn’t really translate to anything specific in French, and "KC" could just be initials for a name or some kind of abbreviation.

That said, the sound of "KC" might resemble a French word, "cassé," which literally means "broken" or "smashed." In French slang, though, "cassé" is often used more figuratively, meaning to shut someone up, defeat them, or dominate them in a verbal contest.

In USA they often use it for "Kansas City" and there are baseball caps with KC on them as I was about 13 I bought one ( with my first self earned money) and used it for years (don't remember if I ever took it off for sleep ) and got the nickname KC from my friends

This subject is not entirely clear, but here is what we know based on the game’s revelations :

The harsh conditions in the heart of Old Cairo can alter humans who stay there for extended periods or venture into similarly dangerous areas.

One of the Decayed that Zaton encounters at their base speaks about ‘turning’ captive prisoners. While the exact process remains unclear, it seems possible to transform certain individuals. I suppose, however, that not everyone survives this transformation.

I recall Ivy/Yuna, mentioning in one of her journal entries that some people returned from the forbidden area of Old Cairo after spending too much time there, having undergone a change. She suggested that these explorers, or these reckless ones, became the first Decayed, a term that would not be widely recognized until much later.

I was referring more to the development of slaughterhouses as part of an industrial process set up to sustain the Decayed population, rather than a method for diversifying their diet. In reality, they can’t change their ways. Nothing grows in Old Cairo, and no animal can survive such harsh and scarce conditions for long.

Abrax describes it as a necessity when he and Zaton discuss cannibalism during their first meeting. It is likely that the Decayed have embraced this form of sustenance as part of their culture, and many of their customs could revolve around it. They sometimes speak of captive pits and offerings of meat from their prisoners to their leaders.

The Elders, not senators, wield influence roughly equal to that of Queen Merneith / These Elders also appoint each new queen / Merneith also mentions that the Elders educated her and prepared her for the role she must play as sovereign / It is known that one Elder also serves as a general in the army / The clergy might also command considerable influence / The queen is powerful but does not rule unchecked. Counterbalances and rival centers of authority exist that can challenge her position. The Elders appear to be a crucial secondary power. The queen cannot dismiss them lightly, as they enjoy a status in Zeta comparable to her own. / Contrary to what you imply, I also believe public opinion, or at least the general mood of the population, still matters.

Only Ivy might know more, though she explains that her race of mutants, known as Elves, likely emerged sometime afterward, in early days following the rise of the post-apocalyptic world and the collapse of the previous civilization. She and her people witnessed the first desert dwellers, early human tribes living near the ruins of Old Cairo, wastelanders, first settlers of what would later become Zeta, first appearances of the Decayed, and, long after her own kind vanished, new generations of mutants quite different from the Elves emerged and now constitute the majority of mutants in the world of DS.

Her accounts are brief and fragmented. She also tells Zaton that she does not fully understand the world around her, having often kept her distance out of fear and the need to survive in hiding. It remains unclear whether this timeline spans centuries or even millennia. Eventually, Ivy herself stopped keeping count.

Shani’s tendency to rush things or to have an immediately active sexuality can easily be seen as the behavior of someone who spent a long time repressing her desires and needs, only to suddenly experience a sense of unrestrained freedom.

Since her first time with Zaton, it seems like a barrier broke, and she now feels more at liberty to explore and fulfill her desires. Although Shani may have felt attracted to the queen from their very first meeting, she chooses not to take things further without Zaton’s approval. In fact, she discusses her feelings for Queen Merneith with him after their encounter.

People in Zeta are well aware of Zaton’s regular presence at the palace. In fact, one of the palace guards at the entrance, who is casually involved with Zaton, mentioned that a rumor circulates in the city about the relationship between the queen and him. Many already suspect or imagine that they have an affair.

However, I doubt Zaton will end up moving to the palace full time. He seems attached to the house he has built and expanded over the years with his wife Zahra and their household. If he were to move, it would only fuel rumors further, and it would be difficult for the queen to justify him living nearby without causing trouble. This is especially true given the stress she appears to feel about their intimate proximity being publicly perceived, considering that such a relationship is taboo and forbidden for someone of her status.

Ain will likely remain with the family in the house unless Zaton eventually arranges her marriage to the young man who has taken a liking to her. This choice will probably be left to the player, who can decide whether or not to pursue that relationship. Ain has clearly expressed on several occasions her wish to stay within the family. Likewise, I do not think Shani, even if she wishes to succeed her father one day, would want to leave and abandon her family.

I believe it is a combination of both considerations, as one does not exclude the other. Ain has never hidden that she did not want to follow in her father’s footsteps. On the other hand, Shani has always been closer to him and has looked up to him as a role model. Being the eldest, she also traditionally has a stronger chance of becoming head of the family and inheriting the family’s assets later on. These two reasons are mentioned and brought up throughout the game.

There is a possibility to make this a punishment scene like the one with Ain.
Since Sharifa doesn´t seem to mind being hurt physically, as she probably thinks its deserved for betraying the Queen and also that she can show she still is loyal and loves her, the punishment must be emotional. She always hated seeing Zaton with the Queen, so what better punishment than having to watch the person she hates fuck the person she loves? As an extra, the Dev could even make Zaton have his fun with Sharifa.
In the end, we could either end her suffering and kill her or set her free and let her live in disgrace.

Here’s something a little different! I took a break from the usual story scene with Shani and used the time to add a new bunker member to the gym - along with some other cute-sized content additions. We're now at around 1,000 new renders for this update, so I think we’re in a really good place

I won't ever get tired of saying this, but thank you for your continued support. Being able to work on each update without pressure means everything to us. I (and we, at this point - even better) can add content to what was planned without having to stick to a fixed deadline. You're the reason all of this - and everything still to come - is possible. And there are some exciting things on the way, including something I’ve hired a more professional team for... but I won’t spoil the surprise just yet. Let’s see if we can get everything under the hood and ready for 0.19 first.

I believe we’re more likely to take part in a simple (edit) scene of torture and/or humiliation in Sharifa’s case. I doubt things would escalate to her death, as I don’t think the queen would want that. She appeared upset by Sharifa’s lies, particularly regarding a guard who was falsely accused of misconduct.

In reality, it was a trap set by Sharifa. Yet, despite everything, Queen Merneith still appears to care for Sharifa, and the feeling seems mutual here. Sharifa acted out of both ambition and affection, hoping to eliminate rivals and win Merneith’s favor and love.
