At this time, July 16th 2023, the game is...surprisingly fun.
Not great. It's way too early and way too simple for that. But it's good. It'll let you kill time if you don't mind actually playing a silly game with some porn sprinkled in.
I saw this a while back and wasn't interested. Finally got bored enough to download it, and...proceeded to play it from start to finish about four times. It was just fast-paced enough to keep my attention while still ultimately being simple, nearly mindless fun that rewards you with a few half-decent animations and "punishes" you in two ways: firstly, damage slows down the girl you're controlling, which actually makes playing slightly annoying...but running into enemies not only accomplishes the same thing, the player also watches as a monster has its way with the girl they're guiding.
Some call that a win. Others take it personally. Me? I have no attachment to these pixels. The in-game MC shouldn't either since they literally just met them. I'm not mad. The animations are hot. But they're also a challenge. "Skill issue," they say. To that I ask, "Then why isn't there a reward for clearing a girl's levels without once triggering an encounter? Why reward 'poor timing' and not 'learning the game?'"
I would say that Desire Dash is off to a great start and has a long way to go, but...I have no idea what it's intended to be. I find it a bit odd that Isabella has one lewd enemy and two different animations while Farrah has three with basically one each. Adding more heroines will definitely increase the playtime, as would adding more enemies, animations, maybe a hub area to save and toggle things...like the difficulty, spawn rate of certain enemies, or what have you. So far the most annoying thing about this game is the lack of persistence. You currently have to start all over every time you fire it up if you want to see any of the lewds again. You can view everything as you like once you beat the game, but doing that over and over will definitely get annoying.
What I'd like to see is more. More girls, more levels, more enemies and animations...and some save files or a main menu with a persistent gallery. Animations specific to game overs when certain enemies lewd the girls on their last heart, maybe. And I think that speaks well of this project.
