I was just wondering why do You bother with HS in first place ?
With Blender 2.8 and Eve You can achieve nearly realtime render time, well not really, but close enough.

Just import character from HS / Daz / SFM / whatever, mod it, rig if it wasn't and do animation / comic / VN etc.

Yeah?
I bother with HS so that I can get the character, so I can then port them to blender to do just as you said.
I'm just exploring HS as a anime like character base.

Then I still don't understand why to bother with HS.

Blender don't limit You in any way, so You don't need to import back to HS to "render" character, do it in Blender. All thsi talk about shading is moot as much more can be done with Blender shaders then in HS.

I would do:

- HD -> ninjaRipper (or whatever allows to import characters)
- Blender -> import
- Blender -> shaping
- Blender -> material (be it anime like or whateer)
- Blender -> animate
- Blender -> Render
