VN Others Unity Ren'Py Developer looking for team

Hello, I'm a developer with experience in Unity and Ren'Py that would really like to lend his programming skills and team up with some person or team in the creation of any project.

I'm also a self-taught person that can learn any other developing environment quite fast in case the ones I mentioned are not used.

I'm not offering anything, I'm not very experienced, but do you have a project in mind? If so, let us know what you're doing. It would be important to anyone looking to join up with you. If you really don't have anything yet it might be better to wait until you have some solid project to work with.

I currently don't have any solid project in mind, that's why I said I want to join some person or some team. Because I would like to help them with their project idea, in case the developing part represents an obstacle.

If I had to think on something quick, I would say a project about some very popular franchise (i.e. a parody) with animations and a hookup story. I'll be thinking on something, but for now I'd rather help to complement someone else's idea.

Well keep an eye out, there are often people looking for help. You'll probably have to find them, but you could offer your services in your signature or something, so that people might see it.

I'm just starting out. Maybe bit off a bit more than I could chew with trying to learn RPGM, Renpy AND DAZ all at once haha. I am a writer though which would be the only contribution I could make to any projects right now. Hopefully soon I'll have at least DAZ figured out.

If you have Unity experience, I have a fun sandbox story with a sci-fi bent, and I'm getting there with Daz in terms of being able to render stuff at a reasonable pace...

Not working on a project or anything (it's not my thing), but you might want to try reaching out to a couple newer devs that you think show promise. There's always so many .1 and .2 games that don't go beyond that because the devs get frustrated. Maybe if you reach out to them and offer some help, they'd be receptive. Just a thought.

You know, Ren'Py isn't hard to learn, I had barely any coding experience from one of the worst education systems in America 12 years ago. I was able to pick up the basics of Ren'Py in a couple hours. If you can write a good story, you can write a game in Ren'Py. Then it's just a matter of finding an artist, and that part isn't too hard, there are plenty of Daz Artists who can't write but would love the chance to help make a game.

i did look into Renpy shortly but without any renders/images it didnt lead to much, so i tried that daz thing and well i sucked at it so badly and that was with a tut xD

Well, I'm not doing the art for my game. Just the programming and story... Literally just had a conversation with my artist about the textures not matching up between a dudes junk and the rest of him and how he'll have to edit them in post. You don't have to do it alone. Hell, you'll be more likely to finish it if you're not taking it all on yourself.

DO you have any "no-go" subject matter? I haven't actually started anything solid yet, but i am fleshing out the plot and story right now for a possible first VN attempt with Ren'Py, but some of the subject matter tends to turn people away... POSSIBLE incest (Available but not required, there are several other paths to choose from), multiple fetish possibilities (again, none of it is required to "beat" the game but it will be in there,) nothing too extreme, but everyone has thier own limits on what they are willing to do, so I had to put it out there

Of course, right now I would be relying on my own skills, and since i haven't coded anything since the Commodore 64 was in it's prime, and I've never been much of an artist, even with Daz, I'm focusing on the plot and story until I either find some people to collaborate with, or have the time and patience to hone my skills a bit.

Totally understandable, heck, I'm pretty open-minded, but there is subject matter that turns me away in a heartbeat. And I wouldn't want to be even remotely associated with some of it. It is most certainly an "adult" game, even if there were no erotic/sex scenes (which there will be)...

The main character and his sister were raised in a very abusive home, and although that won't actually be shown at any point, there will be discussion of it. I do want to point out that I don't reflect ANY type of abuse in a positive light, period. I've stopped playing quite a few games when stuff like that popped up. There is plenty subject matter I avoid like the plague.

Also, a lot of what I find acceptable in a game, I would never find so in real life, but i can completely understand why someone would steer clear of it, even in a game. There is stuff I can't stomach, even in a game. There will be no NC, no dubcon, no NTR, no pedo/loli, etc, but as I said, possible incest and a lot of possible fetish stuff.

Cool. Yeah, unless you're doing something like hard rape or gore most people are willing to work with you.
