I've been on a kick recently for playing Diablo 1 for the umpteenth time. I got the full, 1.09 version with Hellfire from GOG, yadda, yadda, yadda.
However, I decided I wanted to check if there were some mods out there. I knew full well that I was looking for Diablo 1 mods and not Diablo 2 mods, but it couldn't hurt to try. I went to Nexus and saw something called "The Hell 2". I was intrigued and went ahead and download it. In the description, there was a mention of some "Music Pack" but they weren't included there, in the "Posts" tab or under "Optional Files". "Hmm...", I said. I googled "Diablo 1 The Hell 2 music" and one of the result was that of moddb. I discovered that there was a version 3 of the mod and, sure enough, the Music Pack, too.
Installing it is easier than what dev describes
Wow. Just... Wow. Diablo 1 is (was) easily the best videogame ever since Doom. And now, that same unbelievably, unrealistically awesome experience is now enhanced by a bigger inventory, extensive rework of every -main- character, and many more things I don't know yet because I'm yet to enter the church for the first time in, about, five years.
