Do gay/lesbian people like straight erotic content?

So a comment was made in another thread and rather than derail that thread I figured I'd start a new one. My basic question is how gay/lesbian people feel about straight porn (or adult games/VNs to be more relevant). I realize sexuality can be somewhat fluid, but I'm mostly interested in the opinions of people who don't find the opposite sex attractive. Obviously, if there is a man and a woman in a scene, then one of those two being naked and doing sexy things might do something for you. Does the presence of the other person turn you off? Is it situational? Are there things we can do when designing straight content that makes it more appealing to a gay/lesbian audience?

I realize I might be playing with fire starting this thread, but I'm really hoping we can have a civil discussion about this.

I don't find the opposite gender attractive per se but there are some scenes in H games and porn that I find quite hot.

I'm fully gay, I don't swing depending on mood or what's on offer, my one and only preference is pussy. I don't hate men nor do I think they aren't attractive they just don't do anything for me sexually or romantically.

With that being said i'm not against hetero porn.

If it's a woman I find incredibly sexy I can get off regardless of what or who she's banging. If it is straight porn then I prefer the man knows what is doing or takes charge.

I do have a light BDSM fetish. Nothing heavy just tying up and a bit of pet play so that tends to float my boat.

Anyone that's played Depraved Awakening knows Mi do. I messed up on one playthrough and she ending up chained to a wooden construct with her arse stuck through a hole while a bloke fucked her. The scene itself should have been awful, girls being raped but it was hot as fuck how it was done. One of those "oh noes, poor Mi do, i'll rollback ... when i'm finished".

Played a game called California Bound with some chick chained to a bathroom floor. Despite the scene being terrible from a BDSM perspective, it would kill the knees, seeing her chained there while blindfolded being fucked by anyone that walked in was a huge turn on.

Sometimes there are scenes or situations that are so hot it doesn't matter if it's straight or gay. I've got no issues masturbating to straight porn even if I don't find cock sexually pleasing personally.

for me, i like it, it turns me on... but if i can see girl-on-girl action... turns me a lot more, but when it comes to games... sometimes you don't really have much choice

Thank you for replying. @Avaron1974 So for you it sounds like it's about the chick being hot and if your fetishes are involved, even better. I guess to dig a little deeper I'll ask some specific things that come to mind.

I'm curious if POV vs. third person plays a role. Do you have a preference?

Does the dialogue factor in? I don't mean like bad dialogue versus good dialogue, that's more universal. I'm wondering if certain phrases trigger you (for lack of a better term) or anything like that.

Since we have a lesbian's perspective, does the guy's appearance matter at all? Muscle bound? Big/small dick?

I do prefer first person sex scenes if i'm playing a male MC. Nothing better than watching a woman's face as she orgasms.

Gonna use Depraved Awakening again, Christina has the hottest sex face, how she isn't one of the main choices to end up with I don't know.

Dialogue can play a factor. I love dirty talk but I don't like it when it goes too far. Calling someone a hot little fuckslut is one thing but calling them a worthless cumdump is another. One is hot the other is more degrading and I don't find degradation sexy at all. I know someone would find fuckslut to be degrading but if a woman likes sex she probably wouldn't mind that in the right situation.

Well, there are women that love being degraded it's just not a turn on for me.

On the other side of that awkward conversations are a turn off. Gonna bring up something I said in another thread about male MC's, especially Japanese ones, being clueless around women. I don't know who started that trend but from my perspective when playing those games, they make the MC awkward and uncomfortable around women but it makes it just awkward to read. It's a huge turn off.

For body types I can't say I have a preference although I don't like them too muscular. The veiny look does nothing for me but that goes for women too.

I think a great percentage of men love girl on girl action but would never watch guy on guy action, me included.
IT's how we are. I suppose one can then venture and ask why do some people who like watching humans fuck also want to see animals fucking humans? Or watch rape which i do not like myself etc...

@MrKnobb Yeah, I agree on the girl/girl vs guy/guy situation for straight men. It makes sense that if there are two attractive women having sex, even with each other, there's plenty for a straight man to like about it. Similarly, if there is a woman having a sex without a man (machine, beast, monster, etc.), it's still a hot woman getting fucked. So those fetishes are easier to understand for me. On the flip side, while less common, those types of situations sometimes happen to men in erotica. I feel like I've seen hentai art of a man having his dick sucked on by a plant or something (not a dryad or anything). This sort of fiction doesn't do anything for me, personally. I know supposedly for guys, a hole's a hole, but I think there are limits to what is appealing in fiction to that notion. Now, if I was on a deserted island with a plant that was basically an organic fleshlight, I might get lonely enough. Still, that would be much more about the sensation than a "oh yeah, fuck that plant, so hot" kind of thing.

It seems natural to me that a straight woman watching straight porn might identify with the woman in the scene. Imagining being in her place as it were. The line of thinking would be that a lesbian would have a harder time identifying with a woman being fucked by a man as that prospect doesn't really do anything for them. It seems that, as a lesbian, the woman in a straight sex scene can still be the object of desire and not necessarily the one you identify with. I hope I'm not misinterpreting what I've read so far. We haven't had a gay man's perspective yet. I'm curious if it's different for them.

Well I have gay friends both male and female. The female couple do not like the word "lesbian" its degrading to them. They are gay and that is that for them.

The gay guys do not really care what they are called. They do like men and that is that. They appreciate like the women couple a good looking man/women of the opposite sex but that is all.

Very interesting we humans are.

First time I've heard a gay woman objecting to the term lesbian. I didn't realize that was a thing.

That's it exactly.

In yuri games there is the element of immersion where I put myself in the MC's place but in solo or straight scenes i'm watching an attractive woman enjoy sex.

That's also the reason I don't like blackmail or rape. I like sex and like to see people enjoy it.

I'm a bisexual woman who leans lesbian. I've very accustomed to putting myself in the shoes of male protagonists (thanks moves, tv, and video games :FeelsBadMan:) so porn games is an easy step. I prefer chasing female NPCs, but I don't mind doing that as a man or a woman.

That might just be them who prefer being called 'gay.' The closest city to me is literally the lesbian capital of the United States. I never hear anyone object to being called a lesbian.

Well it's the dirty talk that gets me most of the time, or the risk associated with the situation portrayed, which is why I mostly go for incest games or something to do with pregnancy risk, though I dabble in other things. Being exclusively top I can get excited by both if feminine/submissive enough though find both repulsive if I'm subjected to them.

I would imagine it's easier for lesbians to get into straight porn than it is for gay guys. Most straight porn focuses pretty heavily on the female participants, so its a lot easier to marginalize the male role in those encounters or just imagine they are being replaced with a strapon/dildo/etc. If you were a dude into guys though, that heavy focus on the females probably wouldn't do much for you. Though if the straight scenes were involving some role reversal, like pegging, maybe that would be something they could still get into.

I'm mostly straight, but I do enjoy quality futa and trap art. For me someone involved has to be pretty cute and feminine in appearance or I can't get into it at all. I think guys in general are more influenced by their eyes when it comes to arousal. If we aren't into what we are seeing, then there isn't much that will get the engines revving without something pretty exciting going on. While with women I get the impression that arousal is more focused in their mind and while they can appreciate good looking people and get enjoyment out of taking them in, it's more about the context and feelings that a situation evokes that play the biggest role in getting them into the mood.

Woman, lesbian, latina, midget... So many minorities (including women)... You must be one of the most politically corrected person of the planet Earth right now. The wet dream of every single SJW out there... Damm, you can mess with everybody and nobody can say you a damn thing without being called "homophobe", "racist", "midgetphobe" (if that exists)...
If only there was a way to make fun of someone without bringing up their race, gender, or sexuality. I'm drawing a real blank on this one.

Your panties smell like a Brighton fish market on a hot summers day.

Or does that still come under gender insults. Does it count when women insult other women ... does double sexism cancel each other out?

Banter used to be so much easier.

Now we have a list of words thou shalt not use lest thee offend everybody and their dog .... or cat, wouldn't want to be animalist.
