Do you thank threads?

This site has a huge database of games and with a huge community to match it, there are many who download said games.

But it's not that often that I come upon posts thanking OP for posting it. Is thanking considered spam?

Well, it seems more logic to "like" the OP than posting a thank you, this way you avoid to have 150 pages of just thanks.
It ain't disrespect quite the opposite in fact

It didn't occur to me that people do that, I added that in the poll too

90% of the threads are uploaded by upload staff, who immediately unwatch those threads. If you wanna thank them, go on discord and leave a thanks for the staff, but thanking them in the thread is just going to cause bloat and be irrelevant to the topic.

That's really tough for people who can't use discord (because they don't like/trust it) It would be nice if there were "thanks only" notifications for "thanks likes" so that people could leave a friendly thanks without getting datamined by discord :coldsweat:
