I prefer SCC over Domina I would rather have unique characters with minimal pictures and descriptions over copy/paste doms
I also prefer the game-play of games like FemU Zero and Katalist over Domina I would honestly say Domina is a step down in every category except for visuals

Domina has artwork
SCC has unique characters
SCC has choices that changes outcomes
SCC has multiple paths
Both are incredibly buggy
Both have very basic gameplay (SCC has walking around from one event to the next, Domina has walking from one dom to the next)
tl,dr: I agree with you on how multipath games are great, but I would advise to avoid them while you are an inexperienced gamedev, because it will greatly increase the complexity of your project and that will raise the risk of bugs, drops of quality and abandoned projects.

For beginners, keep it simple and focus on a solid release, with well defined objectives and good fap material (that's why people want to play a porn game).

Finally got around to playing the Hora update because you guys got me curious.

One thing that stands out to me is that Dekarous does introductions very well. A great example is the intro with Katrina, the tone is set immediately, when you compare it to ToT and Katalist it's a much better intro, Katalist only has you care about the school much later, ToT is just "Fight this chick lol". The issue is that after it ends you're left fighting ugly zombies.

The same is true for Hora, the introduction to the Lost village is pretty nice, as is the Hora introduction where you save Llavanya, but the parts afterwards are ass. The Reaper plotline also comes out of nowhere and doesn't make much sense.

Another big issue to me is the lack of detail just about everywhere, Dominas have static convos and scenes, you can barely interact with objects, the zombies walking around show no reaction. It's a bit embarassing to claim 9.0 as the biggest update when after refighting the Dominas they just turn around and go mute, even the zombie guy in the village just disappears.

This is in stark contrast to something like Katalist, where a ton of objects have flavour texts, every single NPC has something to say, Succubi change as you progress. Even an underdeveloped Succubi like Serenata has a room with newspapers and letters filled with lore.

Something that I still can't get over is the soul shard system, the game establishes them as something you can't afford to lose, how you'll turn into lost without them and only have 3, but there's no lost Edgar and the fact that you revive isn't even noticed by the Dominas until after Franziska. You're basically immortal and that takes away the intimidation factor of the "all powerful dominas".

This is in stark contrast to Katalist once again, Dilan is immortal, the Succubi he fights are surprised by his ability, Miki even surprises him by not killing him at all. One thing is that I found Katalist better at making you worry about the protagonist, be it whether or not he can regrow his limbs or escape from mind control.

ToT is also really good at creating tension, with threats which are actually backed up, from Khulan dismembering you and keeping you as a trophy, to having Lady Butterfly impale you and send you to the afterlife.

Domina just has threats which are never backed up, you'll turn into lost but never do, you'll die after 3 losses but instead get stronger, Hora and Raa will trap you forever but you're out immediately.

Apologies if I was a bit too long winded, I also apologize if I brought up Katalist too much, it isn't my favorite H game for nothing and I thought it would be a good comparison to what Domina should have been. There are many things I could compare.

I have a legitimate question for those who defend this game constantly... So LoveHurts, since you're always here and brush off most of the criticism and are always as hopeful as always, may I honestly ask you, what is in Domina that makes it so good and worth investing time into for you? I'm not trying to act all smug and all, I'm genuinely asking to be provided actual arguments, so please give me an intelligible answer and avoid mentioning "Best girl", "worst girl" or other patois that honestly tend to give me a headache. I want in your words to know if you're hopeful because you really see something or you're pulling people's legs. So much love for this game is quite concerning. You're in your own rights to like the game, but I, as many others fail to see or give it all the love you seem to pour onto it.

I've mentioned often how Domina fails at every basic things it aims to be. A bad and quite boring game that is honestly directionless, a bad attempt at an RPG, a bad attempt at a porn game, porn scenes being honestly repetitive and severely outdated by today's standards as well as CGs being subpar, dialogues so copy/pasted that you'd honestly get a much more expanded vernacular just by the sounds of giving a rimjob to the Thanksgiving turkey.

I get the game tends to showcase quite a wide variety of fetishes, but despite that tiny little nugget, is there truly any gold mine hidden? I'm not taking jabs at you or any other people who tend on either defending or being hopeful or even still supporting the game. We're all allowed to like whatever. I just want to know how and why.


On an unrelated note, on his latest "Sorry for the delay, Shakie is being overwhelmed and can't complete the vast amount of CGs" is such BS to begin with. In the timeframe it took for Deka to release one barebone Domina with a dreadful realm, I want us to look at a dev doing a similar game. Teary with Katalist, released like 3 characters, continued a decent amount of the story himself, did the art himself, made the animations, upscaled the entirety amount of CGs of the game. We got a one man band blowing "Team Deka" out of the water. This isn't about "Working so hard it's exhausting" as Deka tries to pretend, it's sheer laziness. One half-baked Domina a year is by far preposterous and needs to be addressed with honesty.
I'm definitely not the target of your question, seeing as I am rather harsh on the game and it's creator (when I post, which isn't often). But the reason I keep coming back to the game despite it's issues is the scat and toilet content.

It's so fucing rare to see that, that I am willing to put up with a lot for it. The game has a lot of negatives. Being Femdom, trash writing, horrible coding, no testing, milking the patron paypigs, oversized boobs, weird body proportions in general, etc.

But it has two important things that no other game has. Scat/human toilet content, and MC agency. Also Narcissa, she's one of the few that seem to have some vestiges of a personality. I love that girl.
There's so few games with scat content, that I'm willing to put up with a lot for it. Join that together with the MC actually having personal agency? It's pretty much GOTY.

Thing is, I'm all about that human toilet stuff, but I'm not into femdom/misandry/humiliation/etc. So being a hero on a quest to save the world, fighting the dominas, with repercusions and Alternate Game Overs if you lose too many times is pretty sweet. And of course, you can CHOOSE to give up the quest and become a hot girls toilet, some of them even seem to return afection in their own way. (See Narcissa - at least pre-rework).

Theres a few other games that get close, but none can compare to the 'almost getting it right' that Domina does (did?).

The closest similar game has been Salia Coels FemU. It's also pretty heavy on the scat theme, and at least the original had combat and it was always the MC's choice if he ended up eating a hot girls shit. The RPGMaker prequel FemU 0 is... Hmm... less then I was hoping for. Too much focused on humiliation, not enough MC control since no combat, no monster girls. Also the update rate seems to be dropping off heavily.

Vollbells Magical Femdom and Ai Shield on the other hand, just leaped head first into ALL THE MISANDRY! Like seriously, that (guy presumably) really really hates man. I guess it's a turn on for some people...

Each domina 'room' is pretty much completely independent of every previous room. Testing it wouldn't even require him to replay the entire game over and over again, Test Event right at game start can teleport him behind the locked doors to test each domina independently. There's nothing that happens in Raa's realm for example, that relies on how events played out in Katarina's realm. Even if there was... the Event to pop into Raa's realm bypassing the door could easily set the one or two switches/variables that might be required.

Time girl would, granted, be a bit harder, since it involves going back to previous realms... oh wait no, it wouldn't either! I don't know how Deka is doing it, but if it was me? You'd NEVER see the original dominas realms when doing Time Girls quest line. Every room would be a copy/paste of the original rooms, with only the new events needed. That prevents any buggy interactions between old/new events, and again if you need to know how something turned out, you can just grab a variable/flag that was originally set. If it was set. It's not like there's a lot of possible outcomes for each domina. You either get enslaved, beat her and volunteer into her service, or beat her and leave. But 2/3 are game overs, so they don't matter.

Ugh. I went on a rant there. It bothers me on a personal level how shity Deka is at doing his job.

I don't even care if Shaki is or is not tracing her art. Nothing new under the sun anyways, and no artist has ever gotten talented without copying the works of previous masters.

Sigh... soon. Soon AI will free us un-artistic devs from the tyranny of finding an artist. The explosion of horrible games will probably rival the one that comes with every RPGMaker release, but the pearls of quality will be there somewhere.

One more thing to add, on Deka's writing. I'm assuming that he's doing both the writing and the game dev. That's... actually really hard. Like really hard. The two require completely different mindsets, with game dev being all about logic and rigid process, while writing dialogue is pretty much the exact opposite. I can sit down with a word processor and write a pretty decent story. I can sit down with RPG maker and put down some good flow of events, map design, etc. But putting story into RPG maker? Even I can tell that the writing is stilted and unnatural as fuck.

ToT stand alone floor 8 Iris, has scat content
Succubus & Magic has scat content aswell (this games kinda buggy)

and heres a fun quick little femdom game, its very well written imo (its text based) but it has pictures of what the people look like at least

I played ToT8 a few years ago. It was ok, though most of the scat was IIRC locked behind beating the boss 2-3 times.
Hells perversion is pretty good overall, but I'm not even sure if it qualifies as a sex game... Regardless, pletny of vore scenes, some scat scenes, pretty decent, but eh...

Succubus and Magic is definitely one of the top recent games on my radar. Buggy as hell, and I don't think there's a lot of content yet (or I ran into game breaking bugs that made it look like a shortage of content). Still a game I'm keeping an eye on.

I thank you immensely for taking the time to answer my question, it is really appreciated. I think it's safe to say that the only thing that pretty much keeps Domina up there in high regard for some is the focus on scat which is fairly hard to come by in other games. I respect that.

I like domina but if domina were ever to remove scat from it i would leave this game and never play again unless scat comes back no matter how beautiful the cgi is or mistresses not even piss and that still toilet.

All my favourite games have femdom and scat take it out and a lot if people would leave.

This is beautiful yet I see a lot of foreshadowing in this image.

it's only natural; Worst Girl is literally a gacha protag. Of course all the attention is on her.
By the end of the story, she will have captivated almost every cognitively functioning individual in the game (and Meke.)

Well, not everyone considers blowjobs to be antithetical to femdom let alone something exclusive to maledom. In fact, a lot of the femdom stuff I've seen includes fellatio so I was actually surprised to learn some people consider the two things incompatible.

So some bad news dropped earlier, Dekarous as admited that the real reasons for the 9.5 delay is because he's lost contact whit the artist working on the game and she now asn't responded to him in over a month and half.
I'm not even upset because I am still disappointed in the game. I just think it would've been a more cohesive game if it had it's original progression system (and maybe they could've gotten the art quicker) if they didn't completely change the battle system and drag things out so bad (as well as stopping production to work on a new game entirely). Everything in me just says management issues and system bloat. The flow of things was so fucking wack and, for me at least, went like this:
0. Blah blah blah lose, all that shit, go to sewers
1. Take 2-3 steps
2. Mob Fight Triggers
3. Takes forever because you're constantly fighting multiple mobs all the time
4. Decide to grind while watching something so I can just get through the constant fucking mobs faster (somehow turning a night into work instead of enjoying a fucking H-Game)
5. Now overpowered
6. Win fights, don't see ANY scenes
7. Eventually get so powerful that I am beating Mary (when I'm not supposed to since her scenes trigger from losses and not only that, you have to lose A LOT to trigger progression, so much so that you start losing multiple times and nothing happens so you think "am I supposed to win now?" and the answer is still no, you have to lose EVEN MORE).
8. Confused on how to progress (because I'm just winning)
9. Come here to look for answers
10. Do all that, get to Rosita
11. More constant fights all the time, everywhere in the forest. She constantly asks you to go there so I'm spending more nights just walking through the damn place and getting stopped by a random fight every 5 seconds. It was such a boner killer because Rosita's design actually appealed to me.
12. Eventually just say fuck it and use cheat software to make myself even more strong / get through fights faster.

I've said it here literally YEARS ago but the game is at it's brightest when it's between you and the Domina + her realm, doing puzzles and the like, and it's at it's absolute lowest when you are sitting there fighting skeletons for an hour. Game went from an 8 to a 3 just like that, and I'm someone that actually enjoys grindy JRPG games, it just doesn't work here.

All the dude had to do was watch like 1 game design video on youtube to avoid this shit.
