The reason I'm asking is with the pricing of 2080ti 11gb dropping at the rate they are about £450-£550 were i am at the moment but I do expect them to drop another 100 by Nov . So should I buy two of them and NVlink them together which would give me 22gb Vram For Daz to use IF it is able to take advantage of it . Or just go for the 3080 with only 10gb Vram but have no chance of NVlink as that's only on the 3090.

Meh, your scene will still only load 11gb on one card, the other card only helps with the render.
i am running two 1070's and it does make a decent difference but if i had to choose between 2x 2080 or 1 3080 i would choose the 3080, stats wise the 3080 has the same cuda core count as two 2080's anyways

Still hope left I think. I'l check onto rendering in Blender with its Render farm setup(
