Ren'Py - Double Perception [v4.5] [Zett]

The game has a lot to improve, being in "the real world" there is no list of tasks to do so you just have to guess what to do and that breaks the game, I advanced in Raquel's route in "real life" and I had sex and in the dialogues it tells me this is not our first time, the first time was in the virtual game and I never did that scene because I had not yet bought the virtual reality glasses so I jumped ahead of events... Therefore the chronological order of the scenes is broken. I played for quite a few hours guessing the missions since there is no list of tasks and from time to time errors arise that cannot be ignored and if you do not save you lose all your progress which made me finally delete it. In summary it has more negative things than positive, I just have to wait 1 year to see if it improves something.

Not a bad story and nice graphics. The huge problem is that the games have been riddled with bugs for months, and despite continual reporting by players, it's never resolved. I therefore do not recommend this game until development has worked on the bugs.

I went into this game with pretty low expectations but found myself pleasantly surprised by the game. The mechanics are nothing groundbreaking and is quite buggy at times, but aside from that, this is a pretty solid game with a decent amount of things you can do. I had been playing the game normally and thought i had completed most scenes until I realized I hadn't even bought the VR in game, which unlocks more scenes. So then I went to grinding the VR aspect, which didn't have the best mechanics as I've said, but still the scenes were rewarding enough. A bit of a lack of characters drags my rating down but still enough for the simple incest itch I have. 4/5 stars

Without further ado:
Pros:
-The visual part is great.
-The grind aspect of the game is fairly easy to understand.
-There's a nice money-making system where you can easily profit by buying low and selling high.

Cons:
- As mentioned before, the characters are completely emotionless.
- All the sex scenes feel like lifeless animations and are quite short as well.
- To have sex scenes with the characters, you need to corrupt them first. HOWEVER, you can literally get blowjob from Rachel while she's asleep and even fuck her in a hospital without any consequences, which ruins the experience with that character.
-Points number is growing so fast that you barely can notice a very short gap between characters not lettting you do anything with them and having full sex with them.

This game is a bit difficult to judge .. it could be easily a 5 star game but .. well it isn't and here is why.

Pro
-The females are hot
-I like the rpg elements in the VR World
-Renders are good

Neutral
-No character has a "real" personality

Bad
-There is no real story after the intro .. it's just grind the girl stats to the next level for a new dialog option

-Remember the rpg elements in the "good" section? Yep they are good but only used for the same lame minigames.. grind stats find 1-2 items for some scenes thats it. Don't get me wrong, i don't expect the dev turn this game into Final Fantasy .. but it could be more "advantures" than that.

-Weird camera angles during sex scenes

-The worst part (in my humble opinion) is the sex itself, the MC has no passion at all .. it's like he is sleeping during sex.
If you watch the girls "especially" the Mother/Landlady she looks bored as hell ..she could paint warhammer figures during sex

I have lost a bunch of hours in this game, and I enjoy it!
It's a sandbox style game, scenes unlock once you have met certain requirements. There is a grind to this, yet the developer gives you a 'cheat' option for free, if you press 'J'.
The VN game within the game is awesome and well developed. I find myself playing that more than anything. I bought a VR headset for everyone, so all your relationships in the real world are in the virtual world also.
The more you play, the more this game provides...it's not for everyone, but I'm enjoying it for what it is!

Hard to rate this "game" because there is nothing to rate except visual part. There is no story, there are no dialogues. Essentially, its a pack of minigames, where you get lewd scenes as a rewards.
Good visuals, though.

CRITICISM: Your animations are too short, please don't go below the standard ten seconds.
Let's see some blood, brutality, or turn our enemy into a woman and have sex in VR mode.
The character variety in the game is very limited and takes place in a narrow space. Multiply the characters and add new locations.
I played the game only for the milf character, she was very sweet, sexy and beautiful, and I also liked the nurse.

I have never seen a game here hard carried solely by its renders more than Double Perception. The animations and lewd scenes alone are deserving of 4 stars from me, and the girls, especially the mom, are hot as hell. But that's as far as the compliment can go lol, because while there is a well-defined setting to the sandbox game, it completely lacks a story. There's barely any plot or character development. It's essentially a tech demo designed to showcase the developer's rendering skills, with some superfluous settings and dialogues added for effect.

great game but i think we already at the point where he can start cumming inside them at least in the ass.

Game graphics are grea, grinding is simple and fast
Scenes can be repeated, there not much story that could be imrpoved, there no drama and no real story plot. But there a lot of wild sex scenes of great quality.

I will admit I didn't play much, but given my general distaste for sandbox style games I think my rating is generous. But even availing myself of the available cheats to mitigate the dreariness of the grind, there's just too much pointless clicking involved.

A shame as I think the concept is interesting enough and I suppose if you've a taste for sandbox games yourself this is probably a decent enough one, but it ain't my cup of tea.

I don't understand the hate I see in some of the reviews for this game, and it looks like the last reviewer didn't realize there is an in-game hint system and a pretty decent amount of scenes already if one explores the phone icon.

This is a genuinely impressive effort. It does have some issues like lack of sfx in some scenes, some events can be gotten out of order, and no overall plot. But it is still a lot of fun, hits that fam kink, and the VR game isn't half bad for a work in progress.

I also like how it makes use of the VR for some more interesting scenes.

Looking forward to seeing how this one progresses. Hoping the dev makes sure the sex sfx are eventually applied to every scene, as that's a big plus for me., and maybe takes a look at the coding to make sure scenes can't be played out of order from how they're clearly meant to progress.

I have to say this game is probably one of the most boring games I've played over the last 5 years. There's no plot or storyline build up at all. With no in game hint system or WT you just randomly click at the different locations hoping that something happens. The mini games are pretty much a joke and just a filler for more "content". Within the first 10 minutes you can have the MC "rape" his mom at work by knocking her out with the gas. Or have him start creeping on his family members at night.

The sex scenes are extremely basic and very boring. Why bother having vaginal sex scenes when the player can't even see any penetration? Even the sex scenes in the VR portion of the game are extremely boring. This game needs a major overhaul in many areas, especially the VR part of the game. With very little content and a whole 3 events it's not even worth playing that part of the game. Maybe in another 1 or 2 years the game might actually be worth playing if it's still being made.

I like sandbox games if they are done right, and this isn't one of them.

The animations are super smooth and the different camera angles is such a nice touch. Definitely some of the best scenes out there. Scenes are very unique and plenty of variety between them! The sound and voice effects is the icing on the top. Great all around work all around.

Good amount of content so far. The character design and animations are great. The sound effects are also good when its included in the scenes. UI and gallery could use some work but its useable for now. Overall a great game so far!

Double Perception [v3.4]
One of the games with amazing animations and rendering but the gameplay is a little confusing. There is not much content in the game for example, we buy a sexdoll from a sex shop, but there are only a few scenes for the sexdoll, nothing more. You can enter a different dimension in the Middle Ages by using VR within the game, and I think this is a very well thought out thing. BUT In this dimension there is turn based combat and the people we fight against are monster girls and I think this is a very good thing but
we cannot engage in any sexual interaction in turn based combat and this is so sad. Not only that, Middle Ages dimension has a bad UI, bad character design, grindy, and bugs. I believe that the developer can make the middle ages dimension better and add more content to the game in the next updates. A game with a lot of potential.

This one was pretty hard to make up my mind on, the story is average and i am not that big a fan of sandbox, its great you got a cheat build in to the game, but even doing the quest lines in VR takes forever when you need to collect things.

What really pulls the game up is the animations and funny enough its also one of the things that drags it down, theres just waaaaaay to many sex scenes that arent animated and just single images which just isent good enough, i mean theres only 3 LIs in the real world so those should really all be animated, not even first time with Jenny has animations.

LIs/Girls look pretty good and there is a bit for most players when it comes to the builds of the girls, but the main focus is on big tits which is not something i like, but atleast there are one LI outside vr with more a more normal size.

Music is average, better then a silent game but not really mood setting in any way.

I was close to goin 4 stars on this, but there really arent that many LIs and story is lacking a bit, and having sex in VR feels a bit meh and outside of VR there is only 2 LIs to be with, so it is lacking in that area as well.

Maybe if this game gets somewhere with more LIs outside of VR it could become better but for now ill leave it at 3 stars.

- The models are really hot and the H scenes and animations are really well done
- The VR part is totally skippable, I was able to make all the relationship progress with the mom and daughter without doing anything in VR. Honestly if the VR part wasn't another sandbox but just H scenes or story checkpoints it would be great. Instead the dev has taken on two sandbox games in one and only managed to make one of them decently
- There is a bit of grind in the first week or 2 of game time but the dev has provided shortcuts to make it a breeze. This is nowhere near as grindy as some games out there
- Giving it 4/5 because there is plenty of good content. There are bugs and crashes which need fixing. The VR part would be great if it played into the real world story more. VR game also has very poor story guidance

I think this is a really awesome idea, but the execution currently has some issues. The main problem I have with it is the grammar really throws me out of it at some points. There's just so many incorrect word choices and poor structure that I get jolted out of it.

Do think the art and story are great and hope to continue to see more of the game. Think it would be a lot better with a proofreader though, if that were solved would probably give it another star.
