Ren'Py - Double Perception [v5.4] [Zett]

Buggy mess. Error code on the simplest things ever. Can't even do scenes without an error code popping up, and they don't even play the scenes. Want to check the gallery? nah error line 33 pops up and you can't do anything but rollback.

One of the best VNs currently out there!

Story 7/10

Decent story, some of the stuff is pretty generic, but there are some unique aspects to it that make it stand out.

Gameplay 8/10

Turn Based combat and a few mini-games. the gameplay is decent for a VN and the grind isn't mandatory as the dev added an easily accessable cheat menu in the game. The RPG elements are well made. The gathering mini game get tedious but its not a problem.

Art/Renders 8/10

Really good stuff with nice jiggle physics . there were only 2 animations that werent looped properly. Two of the guardians had their pics broken so I couldn't see them. Girls are hot, especially Racheal.

Amount of Content 7/10

Decent but not who knows how much theres a lot of repetition.

Overall great VN. I really enjoyed it and I finished all currently available content v5.3 with no cheats. (other than some gold )

A VN with good potential.

It almost feels like 2 separate stories. I'd personally be satisfied with the home side without the virtual game part or if they had been made into separate VNs. Infact the virtual half would have done well as a " trapped in a game" trope in the same vein as SAO.

The parts that are negatives for me are first the avatar you have to use for the game is not good. It would have been nice to be able to choose between like 3 avatars rather than the freaky looking white haired one.

Second negative is the moving camera during lewd scenes. It's a bit of a turn off.

The third negative and biggest one for me is that the Dev seems to have a serious creampie phobia. It's very unfortunate. All the facials and body shots are a buzz kill.

The writing isn't awful and visually it isn't bad outside of the afore mentioned moving camera thing.

A few fixes and this could be a top rated VN.

Only things that are good in this game are the is the VR world and renders and the cheats

I had high expectation on this game and had been following it for a time waiting for the right moment to play it... and it was a total disapointment. The story is a convoluted mess, with no clear way to proceed and no clear objectives or so. The characters have little interest as well, and gameplay is really grindy (though it has inside cheats you can use to skip this, but if you do then the story completely loses all sense). But as an example, on the first day you can actually play you can go at night at the girls rooms and fuck their mouths without them waking up, and without any line of dialogue or anything else really happening to set that ground. Writing is decent but certainly not great, and the DoA world and gameplay is terrible.

Render quality is pretty decent, and it has animations on many places but they're usually quite brief. Sex scenes are also a bit too brief and with little content in them. There was music but I turned it off as I always do. And I found bugs in many places, specially with a really terrible UI that made me lose my progression in one event in DoA.

So, all in all, probably not worth your time. Certainly not worth mine, even though I really was interested in enjoying it, I just couldn't.

I'd give an excellent for the consistency of content and how it differs from most Ren'PY on the site by incorporating its own system and how you'd go about with bonding the each female lead. It is an interesting take on the whole thing and give it own distinctness hopefully the game expands more on the in-game game world more

I love this Game, the konzept with the two worlds is great and well done Dev ;-) the mini game are ok if you play on PC, its not hard to earn mone, in the VR world its a bit hard to grow stronger but its fun, i like it and am waiting for more content in both worlds

Game has alot of potential.
Needs a spell check, some phrasing is weird.
Events needs to be put in order, i just suddenly had sex with the characters with no buildup.
Decent amount of content.
Mini-games aint all that bad, I like how you can skip them after the 1st time.
Found a few bugs, like I couldn't visit Milf in the hospital.

Could be 5 stars, but needs some issues sorted.

First of all this game is sooo underrated.I had my doubts when i started but renders and animations suprised me.Its a pretty good game.And ingame cheat menu makes things better and saves us time from grinding.

Massive waste of time filled with more mini games and grind than sex scenes. The dev even knows the mini games are stupid as some of them give you the choice to avoid them after you do them once. Unfortunately that is only like 2 out of the dozens of them. The few sex scenes I saw were boring and the story did not even seem interesting.

The game has a lot to improve, being in "the real world" there is no list of tasks to do so you just have to guess what to do and that breaks the game, I advanced in Raquel's route in "real life" and I had sex and in the dialogues it tells me this is not our first time, the first time was in the virtual game and I never did that scene because I had not yet bought the virtual reality glasses so I jumped ahead of events... Therefore the chronological order of the scenes is broken. I played for quite a few hours guessing the missions since there is no list of tasks and from time to time errors arise that cannot be ignored and if you do not save you lose all your progress which made me finally delete it. In summary it has more negative things than positive, I just have to wait 1 year to see if it improves something.

Not a bad story and nice graphics. The huge problem is that the games have been riddled with bugs for months, and despite continual reporting by players, it's never resolved. I therefore do not recommend this game until development has worked on the bugs.

I went into this game with pretty low expectations but found myself pleasantly surprised by the game. The mechanics are nothing groundbreaking and is quite buggy at times, but aside from that, this is a pretty solid game with a decent amount of things you can do. I had been playing the game normally and thought i had completed most scenes until I realized I hadn't even bought the VR in game, which unlocks more scenes. So then I went to grinding the VR aspect, which didn't have the best mechanics as I've said, but still the scenes were rewarding enough. A bit of a lack of characters drags my rating down but still enough for the simple incest itch I have. 4/5 stars

Without further ado:
Pros:
-The visual part is great.
-The grind aspect of the game is fairly easy to understand.
-There's a nice money-making system where you can easily profit by buying low and selling high.

Cons:
- As mentioned before, the characters are completely emotionless.
- All the sex scenes feel like lifeless animations and are quite short as well.
- To have sex scenes with the characters, you need to corrupt them first. HOWEVER, you can literally get blowjob from Rachel while she's asleep and even fuck her in a hospital without any consequences, which ruins the experience with that character.
-Points number is growing so fast that you barely can notice a very short gap between characters not lettting you do anything with them and having full sex with them.

This game is a bit difficult to judge .. it could be easily a 5 star game but .. well it isn't and here is why.

Pro
-The females are hot
-I like the rpg elements in the VR World
-Renders are good

Neutral
-No character has a "real" personality

Bad
-There is no real story after the intro .. it's just grind the girl stats to the next level for a new dialog option

-Remember the rpg elements in the "good" section? Yep they are good but only used for the same lame minigames.. grind stats find 1-2 items for some scenes thats it. Don't get me wrong, i don't expect the dev turn this game into Final Fantasy .. but it could be more "advantures" than that.

-Weird camera angles during sex scenes

-The worst part (in my humble opinion) is the sex itself, the MC has no passion at all .. it's like he is sleeping during sex.
If you watch the girls "especially" the Mother/Landlady she looks bored as hell ..she could paint warhammer figures during sex

I have lost a bunch of hours in this game, and I enjoy it!
It's a sandbox style game, scenes unlock once you have met certain requirements. There is a grind to this, yet the developer gives you a 'cheat' option for free, if you press 'J'.
The VN game within the game is awesome and well developed. I find myself playing that more than anything. I bought a VR headset for everyone, so all your relationships in the real world are in the virtual world also.
The more you play, the more this game provides...it's not for everyone, but I'm enjoying it for what it is!

Hard to rate this "game" because there is nothing to rate except visual part. There is no story, there are no dialogues. Essentially, its a pack of minigames, where you get lewd scenes as a rewards.
Good visuals, though.

CRITICISM: Your animations are too short, please don't go below the standard ten seconds.
Let's see some blood, brutality, or turn our enemy into a woman and have sex in VR mode.
The character variety in the game is very limited and takes place in a narrow space. Multiply the characters and add new locations.
I played the game only for the milf character, she was very sweet, sexy and beautiful, and I also liked the nurse.

I have never seen a game here hard carried solely by its renders more than Double Perception. The animations and lewd scenes alone are deserving of 4 stars from me, and the girls, especially the mom, are hot as hell. But that's as far as the compliment can go lol, because while there is a well-defined setting to the sandbox game, it completely lacks a story. There's barely any plot or character development. It's essentially a tech demo designed to showcase the developer's rendering skills, with some superfluous settings and dialogues added for effect.

great game but i think we already at the point where he can start cumming inside them at least in the ass.

Scenes can be repeated, there not much story that could be imrpoved, there no drama and no real story plot. But there a lot of wild sex scenes of great quality.
