Downloaded images come corrupted (ex: Honey Select Cards)

So, anytime i try to get a character card from the HS2 card sharing thread the images come corrupted and dont load ingame, infact they dont even open in windows outside of the game and it says they are corrupted, ive tried to save them in various ways and it keeps happening, infact any image i try to save from any thread in the website comes corrupted, it´s only happening here in this website.

f95zone now delivers all pictures compressed in "avif", sadly the extra informations in the Illusion game cards got lost that way.

Generally, to see downloaded-from-here pictures properly in windows, you need the AV1 codec installed.
(for me either microsoft or notebook manufacurer already did so, windows 11)

and/or install an image viewer who supports it. I use irfanview with its plugin-pack, works fine

Damn, i hope they find a workaround for that, the card sharing threads are completely useless if the images stop working on the games, it´s thousands of pages of shared stuff that gets lost.

What is kind of an issue in this particular case, since the said information are what matters with the cards. This while Illusion studios don't recognize the file format anyway.

But I don't really see how to workaround this otherwise than by zipping the cards.

Shouldnt be sharing cards by attachment anyways. Changes like this are bound to happen.

So essentially this means that all the shared characters in all the illusion game threads are unrecoverable? In a different thread Sam mentioned looking into excluding the character threads from compression, but I wasn't able to find any follow up information on that. I didn't know if it was more appropriate to reply here or there.
I understand that illusion's method of sharing the characters information embedded into a png is probably not the greatest move when things like this happen.
