Capcom is going to be adding DRM to their old games, I'm not to sure when it will come down to it. For newer games pretty open on the subject comes it a cost. In my opinion, it's not a good move and it might be better to let the company suffer the consequences all forward. This is especially true since fighting games, such as Capcom's Street Fighter, games are popular on PCs. Some game companies don't mind mods if they bring in money. This shows that the company only cares about profit. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 allowed mods to give players more freedom to improve the game, which is not cheating.
