VN - Ren'Py - Dual Family [v1.22.1ce] [Gumdrop Games]

Absolutely love this game, probably my favorite incest game. But it's definitely not for every one. The build up is my favorite, but after many years of development, there's almost zero sexual content. Also, I still haven't played the dad route, so there's your grain of salt.

One of the games with the greatest wasted potential that exists on this forum. The story was quite original, as it had two different MC members of the same family who focused on the female members of the family, it included much more realism than in the rest of the games that swarm this forum.

At the same time, the graphics are pretty good, especially before their dev decided to focus on milking their patrons through psychedelic shit.

It makes me extremely angry to see how this very promising game has turned out like this, but I can't give it the lowest rating, since it is the game that led me to discover this forum and this type of games.

Also, although I tend to be pessimistic, a small part of me can't help but (foolishly) hope that this game will come to a satisfactory conclusion in terms of real content, especially after seeing how new updates of other amazing games, works that for one reason or another had not been updated for a long time.

Father: Maximum he could kiss his daughter on the forehead. < Son: Sister herself flutters naked in front of him. Kissed his mother on the lips. Touched and rubbed his mother almost everywhere.

Father: Kissed Karen. < Son: Fucked her in the mouth.

Father: His wife's sister raped him on drugs. < Son: Fucked the shit out of her.

Father: Wants to stay with his daughter, but his daughter wants to live on her own and tells him so in every way possible. < Son: He doesn't even have to do anything, the mother convinces her son to live with her herself.

Father: He tries to make a move on his daughter, but doesn't have much success. < Son: The mother herself is probing the ground for a closer relationship with her son.

Father: At the end of the game, he has a manic syndrome toward his daughter because she wants to live on her own. < Son: At the end, almost everything is fine. The mother herself moves in to live near her son, probably also has a girlfriend coming to live with him. Most likely to protect her sister from her manic father.

I know this game is somewhat deeper and more complex, but I was left with a strong sense of inequity between the experience of playing as a father or as a son. And it's actually a joke.

P.S. But honestly, the development progress of this game is terrible. It's painful to look at, and that's why 1 star.

What started as a slow burn tease game with some promise, ended with years of scamming any patreons unfortunate enough to still subscribe to the developer through nonsensical updates that have little to nothing to do with the discontinued original game.. one that never reached any significant content to start with.

the writing is Incoherent in too many places. The story jumps around too much which takes away from the main plot. None of the character are actually likable. The "choices" don't really align with what the character says. The choices also seem to be pointless. You pick one, and then the MC tends to walk it back, so it feels like a waste. Trying to make the "Confident" choices means nothing because the MC winds up turning in to a beta 2 sentences later anyway.

What started out as a promising game with good renders has plummeted into a shameless cash grab. The flimsy story that was presented (I understand it's a porn game and who cares about the story but the sheer drop in quality is worth noting) has gone into absurdity and I cannot in good faith recommend any play this game and encourage the developer.

Really frustrating with the pauses, and not giving the option to skip in the menu bar. It is really painful to play. I wouldn't recommend this game my worst enemy because these pauses are just evil to give. it's like the dev is trying to force the shit story he/they have. I'm just pissed

I don't know why the developer has twisted in his head to deface the game.
The models were fine, and the visual novel in the very first version was fine, now the game doesn't look like much.

Anyone readin this DONOT PLAY THIS GARBAGE, i mean what is this shit is it even a game to begin with. It started off strong with a nice double side sorta concept were the story goes on both ways but than it comes crashing down and tbh i dont even have the appropriate vocab to express it. I mean yeah it sure has good lookin models of daughter and especially the mother ( i personally like her model a lot) however it doesnt do shit with it. I mean teasing is one thing but No sex scene after so much time wtf is wrong with the dev how does it trashy ass thing even got on this site is what boggles me. Take this shit out and throw it into the garbage can were it belongs and the dev rather than patreon page for the game shoulf run a patreon page for fundin his mental health treatment, it would make much more sense to me and i personally will contribute in it for sure

This is now a prime example of an individual crying out for help by way of images portraying just how far gone their mind has sunk into the Rabit hole. I struggle to understand why F95 allows this to be posted at all, as this has nothing to do with a story or game. Just a bunch of images that paint a disturbing picture of a person's mentality.

I am in the f95 world since 2017 and actively playing most of the good games and this is the worst developer i ever see. The game was soo good at the beginning with realistic models and scenario but couldn't stay that way

Idk man, this game has been around for how many years now and yet it's still in, more or less, in the same state it was before. No doubt the dev is only able to spare some time for the development of this game and I get that, but damn. Maybe I'll be proved wrong in the future, but it feels pretty barebones in its current state.

What to say about this game? Or rather, can we call it a game?
I was a patron (at first, before it was abandoned), it was (at the time) my favorite game. As a lover of incest games, I had within the same game, the two themes I liked the most, Father-Daughter and Mother-Son. And that to me was perfect. I loved (and still love) the daughter model, and I was very fond of the mother model. They were perfect for the time, and I still consider them perfect today, graphically speaking, the game is still beautiful even after all these years.
I was very sad when the game was abandoned. And when it came back, it became what we're looking at, which is, nobody knows how to categorize it.
Which makes me think of some hypotheses.
1°: The original developer, either died, or gave the game to someone to take over.
2nd: Assuming he's still the original developer, he's facing some kind of severe psychological disorder, and he's using this game as some kind of therapy.
3rd: Still assuming it's the original developer: He thought to himself and said: fuck it, and he's making some single images and seeing if he can get a large group of idiots willing to pay for them.

Rating this based on playing as the 'stoic' (spoiler: he's not even slightly stoic)

A lot of potential (good renders, good models except the overly big boobs) but it's just ruined by an MC you can't get past.

The onboarding relationship setting makes no sense at the point you see it, the MC is a coward,utterly afraid of women and always snivelling and begging a witch of a woman, no matter how unreasonable.

MC reminds me of a self proclaimed nice-guy being strung along by a girl and it's very uncomfortable
