This rating will also be some feedback to
Dungeon Gaming. This review will also include some comparisons to its predecessor -
Dungeon Lord.
Alright, so this game is very nice, it looks beautiful and it has a bunch nice art. Most of the pictures are still pictures, but that is fine to me. I don't mind that the monsters and trap "cards" aren't animated. I do love that they are there, and that they change depending on their level.
I'm also a fan of status effects, like the spider being able to impregnate the raiders in the butt and so on. It is in general, to me, a lot smoother than its predecessor.
The predecessor quickly got repetitive and it took forever to unlock new rooms. This game could also unlock rooms a tad bit faster, but it's still pretty early on so there will obviously be some balancing.
The art is also pretty good. I
really love that the developer has moved away from Real Porn. Generally, the predecessor had a ton of varied art - cartoon, hentai, real porn and so on. It kinda broke my immersion. I'd like it better if it stayed within one type of art and preferably 2dcg (just my preference). In regards to that, it would be nice if the Raider(girls) shown in the picture also were the ones depicted in the art when you capture them / when they are assaulted by a monster.
Perhaps adding another picture would also be neat - like Not Horny -- In between -- Horny so that the change in their appearance aren't so sudden. But that's just a small thing.
I love that there is bunch of traits, and while I can read and see what they do, I don't think that it is too clear what I should use this information for so far. Perhaps if the Raiders used it more clearly.
Then, lastly, I love how you as a dungeon master don't play a direct role as you did in the predecessor, which partly was what made it so repetitive as practically all the heroes made it to you.
I will add a summary later. Yet, so far this is an excellent game in the making.
