Ren'Py - E-Girlfriend [v0.01479] [MrDeadbird]

This is a tough one to rate. I guess my expectations before downloading did not match the game type. I mean, I thought there would be a little story around the LI being my girlfriend and we would explore the town. It is really just me telling her to flirt with this guy or have sex with this guy, etc. You can get the drone to spy on her, but there is no buildup and she is just having sex with the taxi driver or some other dude. She did get pregnant and had a belly that was sexy, but I remained flaccid for this whole game. Very few AVNs on this site have kept me down for that long. On the plus side, I did learn about the URM mod for Renpy and will be using it to adjust variables for other sexier games moving forward.

Light hearted and fun game to play... don't expect massive story line, but if you are after something easy to use and a game you can play several times in a different way then its a good one to add to the library.

Some of the mechanics are a bit clunky - but I think that makes the game better... too many games (and players) take too much too seriously and a light hearted game doesn't have to work perfectly.

The game isn't perfect - 4 stars for that... but am giving the extra star as the developer is active on here and constructive when getting feedback...

The art and animation is cool. Takes me back to the flash days. Decent character customisation and quite a bit of stuff to do when roaming around the town. I'd recommend trying it if you like dating sims/sandbox games.

So as if things weren't confusing enough as I write this, this update includes yet another terrible update. Maps. Not just any map, no, that could be useful to explore the place. Instead the developer uses AI generated (or rahter AI vomited ) maps. Which make ABSOLUTELY no sense. They hurt to look at, no doors, stairs that lead nowhere, a decorator's fever dream, furniture is everywhere and fuses with the house, giving no reference on where to put your eyes or to recognize what is what. The bathroom? god knows where it is, there are beds everywhere.

All that shit, instead of taking the time that took to generate that fucking image, AND DRAW SOME SQUARES. TRUST ME, DRAWING SQUARES IS NOT THAT HARD, DOING SIMPLE MAPS WON'T KILL YA, AND IT SURE AS HELL WILL BE BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAVE. Shit, what we had before was better than this confusing shit.

I'm mad because this is the last straw in a line of confusing and bad choices. I've seen someone commenting on the difficulty of the game. I disagree. There is not difficulty on the game, whatever personality you choose is because you WANT HER THAT WAY. Other wise don't choose it. I understand where they're coming from, they see affection/trust/love levels and they think this is about making her fall in love with you. But truly those numbers won't mean shit. Whatever you choose, you gf will always get raped/fucked while she works, no matter what. If she's the loving type? She will be sad, but still consent to getting fucked by her boss. If she's a whore? She... somehow puts a sad face? but then concedes and enjoys it all the same. The same thing with the bitch personality.

The personalities are only there for the player to choose what kind of things she will say as she's fucked. You truly wonder why is there a system for different aspects like trust, when it matters oh so little. Moving around is a fucking pain in the ass (exploring and between locations), there is no sense of progression or direction (that goes for the game and the "story"), Her reactions are ridiculous whether is by the choice of personality or stuff that being written and scripted shouldn't deviate or surprise ("wanna fuck your boss?" "oh boy *sadface* " and then fucks him anyway, god forbid there is any kind of moral degradation or more than 2 sentences leading to sex). Grammar is not horrible but for a game that you could proofread by sticking it in any text editor to keep seeing errors is exhausting. Why is she getting pleasure from her feet? Or blowjobs? There is arousal, but to keep saying shit like "I want your to fuck me blowjob style" or cum from footjob??? Makes not fucking sense at all.

The developer would do good to forget about adding anything and making the core work either by stripping shit and keeping it simple, or reworking EVERYTHING in this "system" and making sure it works or works for an actual purpose.

Until then I don't see this working, it's more of a hassle to play than anything else.

Ps: For fuck's sake, it's bad enough we have to see her fuck Michael Cera or Mr Fucking Clea, at least don't make us watch the guy's fucking dumb expression as he cums.

Perhaps not understanding the game, but it is quite easy to instigate the EG to cheat. And then afterward she acts like nothing at all happened. And so it is, this game that offers choices and consequences... well the choices do not actually matter.

It's just surface level stuff. Anyway, I like the concept and there is the skeleton of a compelling game but the skeleton has no meat.

It could change in the future at which point I'd happily revisit this review.

Probably 5 stars for looking for quick sex scenes to your general liking, but at best 4 stars for story, and 3 stars for navigation and gameplay. So overall a 3.5 I think, which I round up to a 4 for having a nice variety of kinks.

A fun game for sure once you get into it for a little bit. It is more grindy than I prefer though as the energy goes pretty quick each day and you are limited to scenes depending on your outfit sometimes. I would recommend allowing outfit changes at places you can work because there is usually a changing room or locker room in places like a strip club, supermarket and even at the beach. That would cut down on some of the grind. Also having the option to skip the repetitive cab ride scene would help tremendously with both the grind and the gameplay.

The story seems a little thin in some areas and lacks the sense of a drive to push things forward, like what is the end goal here? I love the sandbox style, but it does help to know if I am progressing a story at all or working towards something besides a drone and clothes. This will help with the repetition of the game overall, because without it, the game caps out ones interest once you do the same things enough times.

There are a few drone scenes that don't mesh with how the EG evolves though, she is set to hard not cheat on you in certain scenes such as the strip club if you mentioned you don't like her cheating on you, even if she has become a full blown whore.

The parents seem like they have a lot left to progress, still a couple of placeholder images and a very limited story arc there. I'm hoping that story in all areas of the game should move faster at some point after all the game mechanics have been fully worked out, which they mostly appear to be at this point. So we will see on that.

It's a good title. By no means perfect but you can enjoy the whole gf experience since now you can even take your girl to a date.

My issues are: 1. There's no customizatiom for your guy whatsoever
2. No real way to perhaps enable and disable npcs from trying to get your girl
3. If you catch her cheating she'll act like nothing happened right afterwards

Downloaded this on a whim, thinking it'd yield 20 minutes of entertainment; I was pleasantly surprised when I was still sitting there a few hours later, toying around with different customizations. This is not war and peace in adult games, but it is a nice little game to kill a few afternoons.

-The visuals look better in game than depicted on the screenshots, I was very happy with the level of customization available for the main character.

-Audio is minimal, when it's there it's decent, but game could definitely use more of the female voice; and not just during sex.

-The mechanics are tricky to learn at first; as energy drains quickly- but once you get a routine (like most sandbox type games) it's manageable.

-Biggest downsides would be not enough non-corrupt solo content; more stuff like dates with the girl at the zoo are needed, also more sexual variety is needed, but I expect this will come in later versions.

Overall I'd give it a 3.8 or so, definitely worth a quick download for anyone checking it out, it's a cute little game that will at least give people a few hours of enjoyment.

The whole game design is kind of stupid.
You start with a kind of chareditor. Kind of because you just answer questions without seeing what they do. At the end you get the finished result.
unsatisfied? restart the game ---> stupid
The game starts you look through your possibilities.....to long she is pissed ! wtf?? ---> stupid
Change the Area? Use Taxi and wait or walk and wait much longer. 10 fucking sec. for every locationchange. ---> stupid

The "Gameplay" is frustrating repetitive and the H-Scenes boring. She has extremely little energy, which prevents any flow of the game.
The design is cheap and fast, its only purpose is to generate money. And that's the best thing of all: you can still buy stuff for real money and make the game a little bit less stupid. Thumbs up for that.
At the beginning you could still understand a lot but now 2 years have passed and there is not much good to say. Actually nothing for my taste.

This could be good but it really isn't. I do like the art and there is so much potential but you just don't do anything in this game. You get the GF and you just repeat the same things over and over and over and over and over again. The sex scenes become boring after the first time and everything else is just bland. The worst thing, however, is that you are just stranded basically. There is no objective, no goal to work towards. You are basically starting at the bare bones of what could be a good game but it is missing everything else: the nerve endings, the organs, the flesh – you get the idea.

It's reasonably entertaining for the first hour or so, anything after that is more or less just a mindless monotony. Despite the name, you don't have a girlfriend in this game, you have what amounts to a human shaped Tamagotchi. Instead of her having any sort of autonomy and ability to feed herself and sleep, you are in charge of her EVERY. SINGLE. NEED.

Visually, it amounts to traced/vectorized porn images, and that wears out its welcome VERY quickly. And microtransactions? Are you serious? If I wanted to venture into the land of microtransactions this severe, I would boot up Crush Crush. The "Bitch" personality chip is insanely difficult to the point where I feel as if it would be easier if I decided to walk across a minefield in World War 1. I wanted a tsundere, not someone who flips their shit more often than my abusive ex.

This game is much better than what the low average score indicates.

The knocks against it are that it can be pretty repetitive and that there's not enough content. That's fair--though it's still in development.
I'd add too that there's not enough actions per day to really develop things. The girlfriend gets tired very easily and you can't just load her up on energy drinks (it's at least not a very satisfying way to play).

Despite all that, there's a lot that works:
1) The customization is great and getting better. You can really mess around with what you want her to look like, and that alone gives the game some good replayability.
2) The NTR content has a lot of great potential to do something unique. Again, it is currently somewhat limited right now (ex. there are a few scenes per character, and they are more or less the same scenes you'd have with her). But the sandbox style is done really well here. She can go off and do her own thing, and then you have the option to spy with a drone. One particularly good moment is if she goes off to the Beach house and then comes back with a beach house t-shirt the next day. So much is done with that suggestion! Catching her in bed with someone else is a good bit too (though having more outcomes beyond "gotta go" or "wanna watch?" would be great here).

Ideally, we'd see a (much) greater variety of sex scenes--maybe even sex scenes unique to NTR--and more ways that she can signal she's being unfaithful (beyond what you'd see in the drone).

I really like the game, the mechanics and the art style but it's a porn game and in my opinion the animations should be better: more frames and why not more camera angles.
Also as a NTR game I am waiting for more deep conversations (for example when you want gf to fuck dad there is no dialogue which is disappointing), things could be more organic !

Pretty good! its not incredibly in depth, yet its still pretty fun to boot up now and then. only thing i didnt really like is the zoom in on the face of the male ejaculating... it just kinda came across as a boner-killer tbh.

(it still is, but got little better) Now after all this time and questionable updates dev adds microtransactions to it. Again, are you f serious?! For what?! Boring "plot" and dialogs? Flat as used tire pictures? Lacking and repetitive gameplay? Questionable fetishes? Or that "user friendly" interface with disgusting fonts? For what?

There are several issues with this game. Visually, it continues their style of tracing porn images and giving them a very flat and and off putting designs. It wouldn't be as repulsive if the faces looked decent. The color scheme for menus continue to be an issue since some of the text is obscured and hard to read.

Gameplay its very lacking and very repetitive. The sex scenes are short and the girl can only do a few limited actions before having to "reboot." The worst aspect of this game is microtransactions. It literally makes no sense for a game like this to have them.

Interesting ideas, but poorly executed. The game expects you to be overly abusive to access its most interesting content, which seem to go against to idea of "play your own way" the game seems to be going for.

Repetitive gameplay that leaves a lot to be desired. No clear tutorial for an idea of what you're supposed to be doing or how mechanics work and the behaviour settings don't really make sense. Needs a lot of work to make it fun and worth playing.

It's an interesting game, the graphics are simple but in a stylised way but I just found the game........ rough and generally just weird to play. Like the interface looks like a phone and you've got options for talk, explore etc. so you click talk and then you get a few icons flash up, which I'm guessing is stats changing but it's kinda hard to marry up the option to the response. Like if you talk to her it seems her respect state goes down? I know I'm as charismatic as a brick but I'm not THAT bad surely?

There's also a weird thing where during whatever you're doing, there's a bit of interference almost like her avatar is rebooting. It's not a bug, it seems the game is styled in that way but..... it's kinda weird. I get she's an E-girlfriend but the point's been made, we don't need to keep going on about it. I also found that I'm not sure what I'm meant to be doing. Like if we go out... then what? we explore a place but why do we explore? It feels less like a game and more a concept looking for a game. There might be something to do in here but I found myself randomly just clicking random options to see if something would happen, but 9 times out of 10 all that happened was she collapsed cause she's got the energy of an asthmatic ant
