*I hope it is fine to start a thread about this here!

So what did you guys think about the shows and conferences?
Personally I was hyped to hear and see more of .
Hell, this might be why I'll even buy a PS4...

-The Xbox show was rather embarrassing.
-Bethesda area bunch of fucking greedy pigs. (But I totally get them, business wise, except for the paid mods. Fuck that.:mad::mad:)
-The Last of Us 2 looks really interesting. (I'll play the 1st one once I get enough cash for a PS4.)
-More Assassins Creed? Really? It's like the Pirates of The Caribbeans of videogames.
-The new Star wars Battlefront looks like the old Star wars: Battlefront II with updated graphics.

There was obviously A LOT more but these remarks ^ were only to get the discussion going, hopefully. :p

Oh yeah, Dunkey is awesome!
The new Beyond Good and Evil 2 looks interesting too, but we'll need more details on that than a CGI teaser.

I also wanna hear what AngryJoe has to say.

I'm pretty hyped for Anthem ( ), tho this looks way too good considering da:i and their latest fuck up andromeda.. Only thing that's in their favor is that the og crew from ma series have been working on it for a few years. Frostbite engine looks yummy ^^

They claim it takes inspiration from Destiny, and though I didn't play it, I heard bad things about it and its money grabbing with DLCs and all that.

But the concept for Anthem is interesting, I hope a different team is working on it than Bioware Edmonton.

Spider-man, god of war, days gone look alright , Detroit Become Human looks good, and beyond good and evil 2 need game play first. Hopefully The last of us 2 is good as 1. Anthem have to see looks interesting.
Other games too, i don't know about Nintendo games.
Ha Angryjoe is alright when he sticks to reviewing game stuff i guess

I'm so fucking excited for the Last of Us Part II ... the first part had the most compelling storyline for me. I really enjoyed how naughty dog filled the characters with so much life, emotions and feelings. I don't even care if i need to buy a new PS4 just for this game x'Dx'D

While a lot of fairly impressionable people hold this era of gaming in high regard, taking a peek under the hood leaves a lot to be desired. The open world fetish has subsided a tad recently, but it's still prevalent, and the gameplay formulas are beginning to look childish in regards to player agency. Don't get me wrong, people eat it right up, hence its success, but I always feel like I'm being patronized by these mighty developers, bragging about their sandbox world, that took twenty years to create, in which you can do eveything you want. Well, everything that we allow you to think you want, that is.

It's honest, brute, unadultered stagnation, simply put.
E3 used to mean something. It was a playground of innovation.
Anticipation and delivery was the name of the game.
Now, we get hype, which is the dark side of the anticipation coin, all tied up to an ombilical cord of lies and false promises.

Looking from the outside in, non gamers shake their heads and laugh at the amateurish portrayal of this supposed circus of ideas they see. It's disheartening. Not because of that, but because us gamers ought to do the same. Contemplate this shit for a round. Take it out for a spin. With one hand we're complaining, and with the other, we're stuffing money into their pockets. People are beautiful.

While the presence of The Last Of II, Cyberpunk 2077, or Red Dead II might have salvaged the expo just a bit, I find their absence comforting, as I still respect Naughty Dog, CD Projekt Red, and Rockstar for their continued principled work. Which, today, deserves fucking applause.

Biggest takeaway from this year was surely the new Assassin's Creed title they're throwing out. Looking at it, after all these years, thinking to myself "This is it, isn't it?" This is the legacy of this generation of gaming. Call Of Duty and Assassin's Creed. Quite apt avatars for the minds of the young adults sitting at the forefront of the next generation.

Thirty years from now, while everyone'll sit on their toilet couch, big, metal, cheap looking Judge Dredd helmets on their shaved heads, which allows for a more crisp connection between the chip in their heads and the localized radio waves, they'll alternate cheetos and viagras, juggling between Call Of Duty World War X, and the then legalized but censored incest and **********.

As a wise, wise man once said; "If I'm to choose between one evil or another, I'd rather not choose at all."
Goodness gracious, I hope my ticket gets punched before that.

E3 was the cringiest thing I've ever seen.
Yeah, there are some really cringey moments there...

I used to think the same about studios like Lionhead and Bioware before they were sold to bigger competitors.
Where are they now?

I only hope CDPR won't ever end up the same.

Devolver's conferece (or whatever) was fucking awesome :D

Oh, and you, Bethesda... Fuck you. Getting tired your Skyrim. I played hundred hours and they're still milking the game.
