Ok I see slot of argument over ppl not using search (among other irelevent subjects).

I have just read though the last 30+ pages to see if someone has answered my question.. nope.... And I count about 9 other people asking with no reply. None. Nothing. Nada.. Plus I read spoilers I wish I hadn't..

It's a simple question...

Is day 7 available for Android???
If so, where?
The link for android "chapter 3" v1 leads to this file EcchiSensei-Day_7-V2.zip which I sceptically downloaded and ended up with a MAC version, which I expected.. but just covering my bases.
So can anyone help? or am I just adding another post to a 200+ page nope fest.

Please, I can't wait any longer than I have.

Without splitting it, the game would have taken a half year with practically no support before anything got released. I'm not sure how that could have benefited anyone.
Still looking forward to the week release, of course.
Splitting has nothing to do with that. Plenty of games add days without having to split the game.

About the size, it can be splitted in several files, but with the end result being one, without having to play with saves

Most of the time I'd agree, but Day 1 was 2 GB and the subsequent releases haven't really been smaller. Since the game will cover a whole year (although not necessarily 365 day releases) it's going to be gargantuan when finished. I strongly recommend you try the week 1 full release next month. I'm sure the size and quality of the game will win you over.
I might try the week release, but if then when the next day is released i have to play with the saves then i will scrap the game altogether.

Its stupid to ask your target audience to do tricks with saves just to continue the story where they left

The fact that this happened is a clear sign of how messy these releases are, and its not sustainable to anyone that wants to create a game:

days 1-4 > halloween SP > day 5 > lewdmass and lewdyears SP > day 6 > valentine SP > day 7

Plenty of games in which you have to download the entire game everytime a patch rolls around.
I have fast internet, I don't necessarily mind, but not everyone does.
I see absolutely no problem with the splitting whatsoever. I do agree that the technical issues are a problem, however - downloading the next day and then finding that the old saves somehow don't work is irritating, but that's not just the method of deployment.
One-Offs, like a Halloween special, are split off on other products, as well, and one doesn't necessarily have to play them in any specific order.

You might not have a prtoblem, but plenty of us do.

The game has fucking 7 different splits and its only one week of game plus a few events. And the saves dont work from one another.

This is unsustainable in time and that is clear for a lot of people.

Few games requires a full download every patch and those are small games, smaller than a single day of this game, many require it after 10+ patches, but that is not a real issue.

This way of releasing content isnt going to work, the sooner the developer realizews that, the soooner he can start working on fixing that

You're right. He should work to fix this. I suggest a single release of the current content, with redone artwork for the beginning, and some tightening up of the script. Fix all the bugs and make saves within this new release work seamlessly.

He could call this "Week 1".

You do know that the week one release is the start of a new way of releasing this game, don't you?
After this release, the plan is to release a bit at a time, with the saves carrying over automatically.
Everything you have said in this post has been covered multiple times before.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but for all the people complaining about bugs, (almost all of which have fixes or workarounds if people would only search the thread before posting), save compatibility, file sizes, frequency of updates and most distressingly the lack of giant anime cats.

This is a massive project that has taken over 8 years to reach this point, and the development team has evolved and improved greatly from the first releases. They are pretty much re-writing the entire game from day 1 to include everything they have learned over this time and provide a stable base for moving forwards.

With 52 content packed weeks planned, (plus many days of flashbacks), there is no way this could ever be released as a single download. Even if you went back to the days of 8-bit pixel art the file would still be immense.

I'm guessing that most of the people annoyed about the time between releases have little to no programming experience. I have spent a lot of years working with code for a living, and I can assure you that re-working tens, (most likely hundreds), of thousands of lines of decently commented code that I'd written myself over an 8 year period would be a nightmare project. I can only imagine the unholy mess that the overall code for this game was in before this update was started. When you include adding all the text in an additional language, reworking hundreds of renders to not only be higher quality but smaller in file size, fixing old bugs, adding new code to cope with the project scope moving forwards and the inevitable cycles of testing, proof-reading and bug fixing once its "done" I can only be astonished by the perseverance and dedication of a team willing to do this.

BlueCat_Ecchi Sensei Latecomer and everyone else involved, please don't be disheartened by those who have no clue what you are all going through. I, (any many others here), love this game and I hope you keep moving it forwards in the direction you want to, however long it takes.

P.S. MOAR GIANT ANIME CATS ARE NEEDED! :p

It doesnt have to be a single download, you can split the game folder in several downloads, all finishing in one game folder with the full game, instead of breaking the game in splits, which almost no game developer across the whole industry does for a reason

Mr Dots managed it, and quite successfully.

I dont think this has been posted yet.

It's getting warmer outside and BlueCat is depressed.

And with that, hello to everyone who has been longing for the latest Week 1 status report.
Why I'm depressed? Ever worn a fur coat in the summer? It's damn uncomfortable. *Nya*

The Beta is getting closer and closer and that is why this week has been full of script overhauls like proofreading, translating, variable checks, fixes, and other small things.
All in all, very boring stuff, but it needs to be done because without text there would just be pictures ^^

Speaking of pictures...

Of course there will be two new characters for you to look at this week. For one, another Neko club member, and also the mysterious mother of whom you only got to see the shadow so far.
Let's begin and unveil the secret of who it is...

A small piece of info for our Discord "Ecchi Testers": Tomorrow there will be a new playtesting build. This build will contain Day 1 and 2.
If you're not an Ecchi Tester you can become one if you like. The requirements are being Tier 2 or higher, being active on the Discord channel, and, of course, reporting any errors and oversights you see in the playtesting builds.
There is also an Android Ecchi Tester role, by the way. For those of you who play Ecchi Sensei on the phone.

Alright then, have a nice weekend!

So long,
Blue

Might be one of the few games I would possibly support but to embarrassed and paranoid too. Ok so I do like being able to use numbers in my in game porn avatar name... guess I am just odd im my own little way. ~Best Weird Al... One more minute...
