Scout is at level 0 not 1 in the deck

if you on your hero card choose to upgrade more than once if you don't have points it will crash.

French teacher playing for image causes an error. Level 1 or 2, if you do 2 and you get the card it stays darkened as if you are choosing a card, fixes after she ends the conversation.

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
File "game/scripts/battle/battle.rpy", line 73, in <module>
ValueError: list.remove(x): x not in list

You can not get all the cards and do all the stuff on your list before the game force ends. Maybe that should be only after your quests are all done.[/code]

I was able to play for an image with the French teacher. I played her at level 1.

There are few problems. The card game feels really raw, pure random. If your isn't first, you will probably lose (not always, but probably). Unless you have "items" (more on that later). People were complaining about upgrading units here, i think. I haven't tried upgrading any cards yet, but I feel like it won't change much. If your opponent has upgraded cards as well, it all depends on who's turn is first. Also the probability to miss a target or to block an attack is fun and all, but it feels unnecessary or... at least unpolished. I think this game was probably inspired by Gwent, but what made Gwent fun isn't present here... I can't describe it. It just isn't fun to play this card game. It lacks a mechanic or two. At least for now. I remember I played it on the first release and I was waiting for updates. But updates are... more about the story, and also the items, yes.

Which leads me to this topic. Items are a bad idea in my opinion. It feels like they were added to balance the game, so you wouldn't lose as much if your turn isn't first. And it feels like it, like something to patch a hole, not something that was thought through. And that is the main problem with this game. It feels unnatural and I don't like to throw these accusations left and right, but yeah, chatgpt-like. As if it was an answer to a prompt "give me an idea for a card game" or something. The story too (to be fair, it's quite hard to find a good story in this genre), it feels like AI writing... I don't mind if it is polished afterwards. Use any instrument you like, but these are instruments, not co-authors... Anyway, that's my assumption. I am not saying the story and the card game was written by an AI (but it feels like it), and again, if it was and was polished after that - no problem at all.

How do I check on Luna? I tried her room at all times of day. One morning she was sleepwalking while spying on her mom in the shower She was sleepwalking when spying on

, but the to do list is still open for check on Luna.

Also, what triggers the Ed text to meet him that evening in the park which ends the game? Is it possible to battle repeatedly without triggering the end? The card game is actually pretty fun. There is already a reduced money reward in place for once you have claimed 2 rewards from each player anyway.

This game has potential. I agree that AI graphics aren't that great but the story, the sandbox mechanics, and the card fights are done really well. I hope for more lewd scenes coupled with some actual choices on how to progress with the different characters. Kudos to the developer and I hope to see this potential gem become a great game.

The game has potential but it ends very abruptly, you can't get all the content out without it ending first, for example if you study a lot you get the straw scene out but you lose content from the photos, and what else can I say is that I never knew how to make the luna content, the developer ending the game like this is a nuisance, how poorly thought out.

When you add a shield to the Bandit by leveling it up, it doesn't subtract one damage from incoming attacks. Other upgrades seem to work properly.
Thanks for pointing it out! An update is coming this week (v0.26) that fixes this bug and others that have been found.
The Champion Card bug has been hotfixed already (up on itch.io)
Thanks for playing my game and helping me with it!

Are all slots in the gallery supposed to have something unlockable? Or some of those are empty for now?
Not yet. Please read below for more infos.

Chapters 2 and 3 were originally meant to release together, and all content will be fully accessible by the end of Chapter 3. Once it is out, you'll be able to play indefinitely.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to release both at the same time and didn’t want to keep my supporters waiting longer for new content, so I decided to split the release. I understand this led to some frustrations, and I apologize for that. Specifically:
  • The "Check on Luna?" objective is visible but not yet playable.
  • Some rewards and activities can’t be completed within the current timeframe.
  • The game forces you to end.
As mentioned before, development was significantly slowed by unforeseen circumstances. While this solution isn’t perfect, it allowed players to get new content sooner rather than waiting even longer. I'm working hard on Chapter 3 and aiming to release it as soon as possible, hopefully by March or April. I appreciate your patience and support!

First off, thank you for taking the time not only to play the game but to share such detailed feedback. Before diving into my response, I want to say that many of your points are interesting and some are even being brought to my attention for the first time. Not many people have played the game yet, and even fewer provide in-depth feedback, so this is genuinely valuable to me. It’s a work in progress, and I’m always open to improvements.

This is quite a long and detailed response—I apologize for that! I completely understand if you don’t have the time to read it all.
In short: Thanks for your input! I truly appreciate it, and I’ll do my best to make the game even better.

About Being First
This is interesting as I had this same worry and feeling like you do! Though I must admit I'm really surprised about the "you will probably lose" if second.

Short answer: I was aware of this issue and have worked to balance it by reducing the first player’s starting crystals. As new mechanics are introduced, such as stronger units, upgraded cards, spells, and items, the impact of turn order becomes less significant.

Long answer:
This issue wasn’t apparent at first because I was playtesting with later-stage additions that negates the advantage of being first. It's only when playtesting the finished Chapter 1 that it occurred to me that it was way easier to win if you're first.

I discussed this with my testers, and while they acknowledged that going first offers an initial advantage, they didn’t feel it was a major problem, many actually found the game too easy overall.

Still, I adjusted the first player’s starting crystals to help balance things out. some testers then argued that going second became easier, especially when using items. That’s when I started tracking win rates with and without items.

When I read you message I immediately wrote to the testers currently playing Chapter 3. They all seem to agree that the advantage has diminished further with additional mechanics. But I’ll keep a close eye on it. If you're struggling when going second, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share some strategies with you!

About Gwent
Not really relevant, but I actually never played much Gwent! I absolutely love The Witcher series, but actually Gwent didn’t really click for me when I tried it once some years ago (8/9 probably). Your comment made me reconsider. I’ll give it a fair shot and see if there’s something in its design that could inspire improvements to my game.

About Items
I’m sorry the item system didn’t work for you. But no, it wasn’t a Chat-GPT idea. From the very beginning, I wanted the game to offer multiple strategic options using three card types: Units, Items, and Spells.

Items were always part of that vision. One of my earliest ideas was combining Elixir of Agility with Rogue (a unit that already has high dodge chances) to make it nearly untouchable. These mechanics weren’t added as a fix for balance issues but as a core part of the strategy. Once spells are introduced, you might find that items fit more naturally into the game. At least, I hope so!

About the Story
The story is still in its early stages within the game, so I understand if it doesn’t feel fully developed yet. Chapters 3 and 4 will bring more revelations, and hopefully, things will start to come together.

And no, this isn’t written by or with AI. I started developing this story years ago, and it has evolved too much for me to even consider explaining it to an AI, or even a co-writer (which I briefly tried during Chapter 2 when someone offered to help). To be fair, I did experiment with ChatGPT to resolve a few plot holes, but the results were so disappointing that I never tried again.

Again, I really appreciate your thoughts. Constructive criticism like this is invaluable, and I'm taking it into account as I work on the game. Thanks again for playing!

Thank you for playing the game and bringing that up!

Are you referring to the point-and-click mechanics (like the Sauna) or the card game?

If it’s the point-and-click, you’re absolutely right! It was brought to my attention, and I’ve now adjusted it so the order is almost fixed and way less frustrating. No more clicking endlessly in hopes of getting something good! I appreciate your patience, and I promise to do better in the upcoming chapters. (And yes, the Sauna has been updated!)

Thank you for trying the game and sharing your thoughts!

It was intentional for the protagonist to start off as lost, "weak", and uncertain, and is part of his character arc. But I'm sorry if I missed the mark and he, for now at least, annoys you. Hopefully, you'll find him more compelling as the story unfolds. He will grow into a much stronger and determined character, that I can assure you!

Thank you for your comment and trying out my game!

There are a few issues that you point out that I wasn't able to recreate.

1. Scout is at level 0 not 1 in the deck
Could you send me a screenshot of this? That would help me investigate further. (You can send me private message)

2. French teacher playing for image causes an error. Level 1 or 2, if you do 2 and you get the card it stays darkened as if you are choosing a card, fixes after she ends the conversation.
This also, I couldn't get either of those.

3. I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
This is likely due to using "rollback" during the game. While it’s not intended, it has been pointed out that it is doable, and a fix is included in the update coming this week. Thanks for bringing it up!

4. You can not get all the cards and do all the stuff on your list before the game force ends.
You have to make choices and yes, you can't get all the pictures on the gallery with a "?" yet. But it is possible to do all of this already. What you haven't tried yet, you will be able to do in Chapter 3 where you will be able to play indefinitely, or if you can't wait, re-play the Chapter 2 with different choices. I know this isn't optimal, but it was a way to shorten the wait for my supporters.

Thanks again for your help, it means a lot to me!

Must have missed this sauna you are talking about hm. So no I was refering to the card game.
It is a lot harder to play tactically when everything has that small chance to miss. Given how the game plays with lanes and "summoning sickness" just one rng miss can lose the game instantly maybe that is the intention? But I find it pretty frustrating.

Anyway cheers on taking feedback.
