I'm quite fond of card games so coming across one that's pretty decent is always a treat. It's fairly simple to pick up but with enough room for depth to potentially keep it interesting. Which is the perfect place to be imo.
However there are some things I'm unsure about.
Item cards are single use. I suppose that's to give you a reason to earn money but I ended up just not really using them because of it. Which ended up making the card game less interesting.
I do think the game could end up feeling grindy. But that will depend on how good a job the dev can do at keeping the ratio of card games to story content and introducing new interesting cards / mechanics balanced going forward.
Cards also have a small chance to just dodge or block attacks. For some that chance is higher and there it feels more deliberate. It never really ended up playing a major role but I don't really know how to feel about it.
