Ren'Py - Egg Maiden [v1.10.0] [NoBigFeat]

Well executed dating sim where choices actually matter. Rather than just grinding for a set of stats, individual choices play a significant role in determining how your relation will go. I didn't get the feeling that I was "grinding", but rather taking fairly natural choices to progress the story.

Gameplay: 10/10
The game knows what it is ⨪ A gooning sim ⨪ and doesn't try to be more than that. Because choices matter, the choices felt engaging, and the amount of variation kept me from getting bored. At some occasions, it does slip up, putting far too much dialogue into what is supposed to be a primitive experience, but it's nowhere near as egregious as some other titles.

Story: 5/10
The premise is exactly as expected. You meet some girls, everyone is DTF and wants you. Just as god intended. The simple story does not detract from the overall experience, because who is here for the story anyways?

Characters: 7/10
The game does introduce many different characters, but it also punishes you for pursuing them in multiple occasions. Perhaps this is meant to improve the replayability, but I didn't feel like replaying it. Some of the dialogue can also get a bit repetitive and cliché, but this might be different depending on which route you choose to follow.

Goonability: 8/10
Images are hot and the amount of content is vast, but it can take a while to unlock the stuff you're mostly interested in. There is plenty of sexual content though, so you're not left dry while you're clicking through endless dialogue.

Overall: 9/10
The negative rating surprised me. Rather than being a generic Ren'Py VN with cliché plot and endless dialogue, it genuinely has interesting gameplay, sexy scenes, and a large amount of content. Looking forward to seeing future updates.

Really touching and not too long as for dialogue. A long lifetime and really interesting concept, the characters are adorable. Also many different illustrations well made. The UI may make you think that it is a sandbox game, but it changes phases with many varying mechanics.

Genuinely one of the few games I've come back to just to continue the story. Doing the love path and its hooked me with helping Lena and having her slowly open up to you. Only on chapter 5 but can't wait to see the finished game.

Very good game, criminally underrated. Only game ive left a rating for aca. Egg stuff is pretty irrevelent, and most of the sex is "normal." super good writing, good art, good pacing. Its not trying to be more than it is, and it has really solid foundational stuff

Got to be one of the most idiotic story/games ive seen to date.

Girl walks into your hotel 2 seconds later shes now you slave forever?
2 seconds later she lays eggs? 1 second later egg hatch and a blue slime bimbo apears fully grown up? 1 second later MC fucks her?

Nothing what so ever makes any kind of sense and nothing is in the players controle, other then idiotic things like 3 choices 1 fuck her, 2 fuck her, 3 fuck her, just with diffrent words but all results are the same you fuck her....... to me thats just a pretty shitty start when you arent into forced LIs or sex, (unless its MC that does it ofc )

Then i guess the real game starts, which is a sandbox type thing or could even call it text based game, since you just click on buttons to do stuff like, work, dress the girl, talk, actions, commands and so on.

Goal is to do all the things in one of 3 routes i guess, love, neutral, dark, it just gets soooo boring to do the same shit over and over, like talk to her 20 times, see her pussy 30+ times, get her to 450 love points or 450 lust and on and thats just to reach chapter 2......oh and lets not forget a small money grind on top...in chapter 2 your forced to do gain points with 3 girls no matter if you dont like one of them, like i couldent careless about storekeeper girl but in all 3 routes shes forced.

Funny enough after a hole bouch of talk from her about not forcing you to do anything....and all you can do to progress is having her forced on you lol, its truely piss poor and it gets worse later when she goes "its not blackmail" but thats 100% what it is and your then given 3 choices when she ask if MC and Her will be a thing, 1 yes, 2 yes, 3 yes....so yeah again more forced garbage and MC being a pure simp, later you then get the option to drop her or so dialogs makes it sound but in short shes sorry for the blackmail and ask if she can be your GF and ofc you get 3 option again and you proberly guessed it by now its 1 yes, 2 yes, 3 yes, all 3 choices are 100% the same.....and thats when i quit, having to gain 100 love points with a blackmailing bitch to be allowed to progress just to dump her ass is just to idiotic when MC should never have been with her to start with.

What i hate the most is the dialogs though, while MC does talk some times its mostly just the girl that replys to MC without MC ever saying anything, like "Girl: Im..? yes, master i know i am." MC said nothing so no clue what she is? and its like that 90% of the game where its only the girl talking which feels like a one way talk and i dident find the fun at all.

Then theres the CG which was meh, i mean pick get a BJ and it shows you a single picture of dick in mouth and done or a HJ you see her holding MCs dick and its done....it just does absolutly nothing for me, the only time ive seen any kind of movement is when she takes a piss...which im not into lol, also they dont follow the dress or whatever you make her wear, it goes back to a standard dress which makes the hole dress up feel a bit pointless, same for paint nails on girl which then vanish right away.

Also not a fan of not being able to change what the girls call MC, they only call him Master even if they arent a slave which the second girl isent apparently but just think MCs name is Master? feels idiotic even more since there is a name change option but it dosent do a thing, whenever MC talks it just say "You" no names no nothing just "You" and in dialogs with girls its Master.....feels bugged, the only place it changes is when you move onto next chapter but once those dialogs are done its stright back to master.

Girs look ok nothing special but ok, if your into the smols like the one on frontpage then forget this one, every girl other then her is big or huge tits which smol lovers most likely wont be into, theres really not much diversity in builds other then big and bigger.

In chapter 5-6? i think it changes to pure sandbox mode, with time slots and everything, ya i cheated my way there to see what happens going forward, but its awefull now you have to do tasks at specific tme of the day and its not the standard 3 click days but hourly....meaning skipping a day would take a ton of clicks...this type of sandbox is a huge no go for me since it waste waay to much of your time.
Then it changes back to old sandbox type....not sure if dev is just testing shit out but its weird.

Also Anal is a forced for those not into that.

Also is clear the dev is having a really hard time with branching, so making characters optional is to much work, it can be done with very little extra work as seen in other sandbox games, it all comes down to how you make the scenes, i wont go into details but ive seen a few great sandbox games with proberly 15+ optional LIs and with optional pregnancy for all on top of that so yeah it can be done if done right.

Even though i dident like the game, its not that bad a game, it just wasent for me, mostly due to not having the optional characters and being forced to do shit with them which is a little idiotic considering they where supposed to be optional, so why not make interacting with them optional so you dont have to play with their pussy and shit, it dosent really make sense going from optional to forced in my eyes, so now im forced to look at 2 bitches i dont want to look at and i cant even put freaking clothes on them so i dont have to look...so yeah most defently not for me lol.

never thought that i would like the game this much, there are multiple paths in wich you can go, the story is ok some parts i liked to read and some i skipped there are tons of dev notes to help you in this sense so that you won't get lost, the game also has a cheat system in case you got bored in a chapter because of a repetitive action, some might dislike this because or immersion but as for me i liked since i don't have much patience to read and discover everything, anyway it is a good overall game nothing spetacular but a nice trip i would say

This feels less like a trainer and more like walking a minefield of mostly bad choices, not appealing to me. If you love grind and repetition for litle reward, this might be for you. Artstyle is fine.

The game is very good, but it's not for everyone. If you ever talked with a girl that was very clingy with borderline personality disorder, the dialogues look very similar to this. It has my fetishes as well, and it focuses a lot on them. Story is also interesting. AI cg is hit or miss, but the majority looks good enough, I can turn a blind eye on the art because of the descriptions that are good, I could probably play this game if it was text only because I really like how they made the main girl with actual mental problems, the mental problems are written very well. It really reminds me of a girl I used to talk to.

Egg Maiden, the story is pretty good with a descent amount of routes mostly with the main slave girl but others can be affected as well like the pink haired one and others. I also liked the variety of monster girls and the blond slave trader, hopefully we'll see more of her in the future.

But more importantly the game has some very nice cgs with characters remaining consistent between scenes which has made it the first ai cg game that I actually enjoyed.

Very bad story.

One more thing: in almost every chapter, she says, ‘Master, I’m sick and can’t move, but can suck D / F"

Its a bit too realistic of a daddy issues girlfriend simulator. Except she hatches magical eggs sometimes.
Its too tedious for me to plow through, the art is good though. The grind, not so much. cant recommend.

Very very good VN, lots of control over the story and meaningful choices. Could do with a few more animated scenes but the art style is great and the story is actually pretty engaging as you progress through the chapters.

Surprisingly good, expected nothing much and got way more than the usual fap, forget and delete out of this management/VN hybrid. Bonus points for a really good use of ai-CG as well!

Lets hope the dev can keep the good release pace up in the future too.

I don't see the appeal.

Lots of grind and unnecessarily complicated mechanics for what could just be a simple "choose one of these few fixed paths" VN.

The built-in cheats to get around the grind left me locked in Part 1 with evidently no way to progress.

Really good VN/Dating sim. The writing is solid, the characters believable, and the game mechanics are fine. Each chapter feels a little disjointed from the previous mechanically, but it mostly works.

I like it. The pretty art, how dumb the girl sounds when she's disoriented, the trait system, it's all nice and smooth.
Stellar use of image generation too; that there's plenty of images, particularly multiple for the same action, feels interactive.

The game is still in making progress but that have very good h scanes. Has interesting story (fantasys are becoming interesting i mean) that doesnt have problem with it anyway the game is getting better with updates so we will wait. Lastly the game is detailed for a H game

Just making a review to thank the author for trying to fix the issue I raised and to boost visibility. I like the game, it's cute, caters to what I wanted to see and the content is decently interesting. The settings and some of the character's dialogues are crazy in its own way and while not being the best certainly, I like how there's a canon reason for the author to purposefully jumble it (Lena's stuttering) Regardless it makes for easier writing and will help in faster content expansion. Game is not too grindy in chap 1 and 2, the pacing is good enough imo and the main heroine is very loveable.

I'm vividly into feminine domination, femdom basically but with words and gestures rather than harsh, forceful controls, there aren't too many games that get the genre right so I plan to subscribe next month as a way to show support. I had a great time with the game and will play again when there's enough new content
