This is quite good, needs to have a sort of enemy/Transformation variety for the next titles, something like every 2 stages you get introduced to a new danger. And every 6 stages it's a new transformation.
This would require a decent amount of work, but if you make enemies uniquely interested to only 1 or 2 different transformations each the time sink would decrease greatly since you wouldn't need as many animations or unique effects.
