It is pretty much just a slighty better version of the first game.

I liked all the new characters and the MC lokks better.

But everything else is just kinda just the same again, another story which is good but all the character kinda act the same I would have liked it more if the were somemore differences, like maybe marco polo doesn´t know kubla khan yet or something.

I also thought that there were a lot more battles and I kinda just got bored of them after a while.

The sex scenes still aren´t good, but atleast characters who didn´t have any now got them.

If you liked the first one you will probably like this too.

A niche game. I have played jap ver. of original game before but dropped midway cuz I can't read jp. And now I played and finished both original and gold of this game in English. I can say that this version have improvements over original game for sure. This review will be more of comparison between original and gold version and may contain spoilers.

Story: Average story like original version but it is more focused on the interaction between each character not only with mc (most character interaction are NA chars as running jokes during story dialogue) which in turn cause less in-depth story than original. Though it is fun to see how each character interact each other. But overall story is to fight bad guys and win peace.

Characters: More characters than original. Personality of each character is sort of the same like original except some (e.g. takeru) In gold version, there is a lot fairness in term of character events as most characters now get equal number of events except some characters. (some ancient heros and collab heros)

H-scenes: Most of characters now get at least one h-scene unlike original where some chars got like 3+ scenes (e.g. himiko and arthur in gold got only one main h-scene each now with himiko have extra two h-scenes - one from other character event and one from 'only' one main story h-scene) I think all characters that got h-scenes in original also got at least one in gold except one char. (sad montezuma) All h-scenes in gold are completely new except one char h-scene

VA is superb and cg has quality in them. The dialogue in gold is mostly 3rd person dialogue unlike original which is mostly 1st person dialogue of mc. Still, some h-scenes felt rushed and a bit plain.

Gameplay: A lot of improvement done causing less plain in gold. It is fun to play at first but feel repetitive later. There are a lot of new elements in gold such as item mechanic which player can buy/sell items and also combine items for better items. I made challenge with myself and have finished this game with no heroes getting defeated in battle. (wasted a lot of time grinding and finding item - thank bottomless pot)

Music: very good bgm but I likes original bgm more in later part of story. In gold ver, bgm now changed several times when player reached some part of main story (original changed once before climax of the story iirc so it kinda boring to listen same bgm during 20-40 hrs of gameplay)

Ending: Not spoil much but I want to talk about credit of this game.

Overall, it is a fun casual game to play. The plot of story is mediocre at best so it is better to play in increments.

An interesting game. As an h-game it's likely going to be unfulfilling for you, the h-scenes are few and far between and not really that impressive. The core gameplay loop is pretty compelling, if a little simple, you're basically just building up your units and doing some really simple strategy and planning. There are an absurd amount of characters here, and they're all fun but not particularly fleshed out, the story too suffers from a lack of depth. The worst element of writing here is the main character, his personality is inconsistent and mostly dull, like many protagonists he is just dragged by the whims of fate with no real motivation or independence.

There's nothing exceptional here outside of the art, the character designs and UI are really high quality and they've kept me hooked. The art in h-scenes varies wildly in quality though, at its best it's above-average and at its worst it's an affront to the concept of anatomy.

The game isn't good, but it can be compelling. I wouldn't recommend playing it but that doesn't mean you'll completely hate the experience if you do.

Loved it. A certain improvement over the original game, which itself was very good in my opinion. Story was similar, but still had enough differentiating elements to feel refreshing and not repetitive. The VAs have done an excellent job and OSTs are literal bangers. The battle system is as good as before and there are noticeable improvements in certain areas. CGs and H-scenes are erotic without being too lengthy as well, so good for a fap as well. They're well spaced through the game, so I didn't have to worry about my refractory period either lmao.

MC is a big pussy in this one compared to the original eiyu*senki, Boring story very bland till the end. Not much sexual content either, Well that's a given because whenever there are shit ton of characters in any game obviously there can be only one scene with a character or else the game will be too fucking long. Gameplay is better though compared to the original one Nightmare mode is a lot tougher in this one. Also the Date Masamune character is too much of a fucking annoying character always interrupting with marriage forms for her self declared brother.

I will preface this by saying that it's been a while since I played the original Eiyuu Senki, so the comparisons between the two games will be minimal. I'll be reviewing this game on its own and tell you what to expect, so if you see something that makes you think, "But it was the same in the original!" it doesn't matter.

If I have so many things to complain about, why not give it a lower score? Because I'm not dishonest. It's undeniable that this is a polished game. The art is amazing, the engine is well-optimized and the voice acting is flawless—flawless, I tell you. I've never spent so much time researching VAs before, because almost every VA in this game is just fantastic. If you get past the bullshit bosses or simply ignore them completely, the gameplay is also polished. And while there are many annoying characters, some new characters are genuinely great additions that make previously uninteresting countries more interesting, like Cleopatra, for example. She's my favorite new character, and her sex scene is very good. Would've been perfect if we also got a threesome with her and Tutankhamun, but anyway.

TL;DR: Unremarkable and cliché story, terrible writing, annoying characters, better gameplay than the original but with many bullshit bosses, a lot of underwhelming sex scenes, rushed events, some characters have very few scenes, great art, great voice acting. Can be an enjoyable experience.

Many of my complaints are just my opinion, and that's fine. I wasted a lot of time on this game, time that could've been much more enjoyable if not for Masamune, Billy and the protagonist. Thus, I don't mind writing a wall of text to vent my frustration. I recommend that you play the game for yourself, because your experience could be much different from mine depending on your standards.

Very good game and I will always love the game play of taking over the world. The whole idea just really appeals to me in this game especially the way it is done. I will say though that I preferred the story in the first game comparatively to this one. This one still has a decent story though. Just like the first one though it can start to feel really repetitive especially since the game can feel really unrewarding just like the first one. I would not play this if you are here for hentai or porn in general as there is not a lot of it (and its what makes the game feel unrewarding).

Another thing that bothered me about this version was Takeru in this version she just seemed well really boring.

I still recommend giving it a play though and play it in increments to not get bored of the repetitive play its still a decent game.

This game feels like Sengoku Rance but is nowhere close to it in both gameplay and vn elements.

The gameplay is fun but its practically the same as the non gold edition but with small improvements. That was the only aspect that kept me going because the VN part was pretty terrible. The story was non existent and most characters where boring. Even the HScenes felt rushed. Finally the music was great.

TLDL; Great gameplay, maybe not as deep as Sengoku Rance, but pretty close. Bad VN elements. Story and characters where uninteresting.

DISCLAIMER: this is the first review i make not counting what i did in vndb. also it may contain spoilers

this is the other version of Eiyuu* Senki that has more characters and some more features. so i guess its fine to compare those 2 right??i refer this gameas Gold and the other one as Original.

Characters: Gold has few more characters than the non gold one but the Original has 2 unique character that isnt in Gold. so you have many characters to play with.

Music: Gold arrange music from the original in addition to new tunes. some are good and some arent and its debatable that some music in the original is better but i like it regardless.

(H)Scenes: Gold now include h-scene for nearly every character that is playable but doing that will few have 2 h-scenes each and 1 h-scene for the rest. Original on the other has has h-scene for about half of the character but they contain 1-4 scene each.
Scenes on the other hand is nearly distributed equally among all characters in Gold while in the original has character has scene ranging to 1-6 scenes per character.
because of the distribution of scenes, Gold scenes isnt developed that much and feels rushed compared to few scenes in the Original that is much developed.

Plot: both games is like conquer the world, beat the evil, plays credits, go back to scene viewer to see some scenes. imo the Original is better than Gold and yes. the plot is something generic.

Gameplay: Oh boy. the it improves a lot from the original. the game play is still the same you have a limited action points per turn and you use those to viewscenes/do battles. battles is still turn based battle based on 6 X 3 block.
Battles: Gold has this new system that sometimes used that you need to advance to reveal the enemies and defeat them. once you see that that enemy will act immidiately most of the time. so if the enemy has mana when that happen, it can kill your units. some battles are new while some others are changed. due to reasons below.
Units: every Xsisting character in the original that used in gold has been changed. some gets buffed and some gets nerfed (RIP egyptian healer) but gold still have a lot of units to play with. unit class is the same on both games. Gold has new bosses.
Items: now you can buy and sell items as well as combining 2 items to make 1 item. some of the items are changed compared to original and some items are class specifics.

Replayability: although you can almost all scenes in both Original and Gold, Gold has replayabilty due to its achievement and the fact that you cant get every item in one run.
    art is good.

Overall gameplay wise, Gold is better but VN wise, the original is better.
i enjoy both of the game regardless

If you're just looking for porn and h-scenes, this isn't going to be your type of game. There's only about 1 h-scene per character and these scenes are locked behind character interactions and fights. However, if you're looking for a more character-driven RPG experience, this is up there with Sengoku Rance. There is an absolutely insane amount of content and every playable unit has their own storyline and are voice acted, though the main story is weaker than the original Eiyuu Senki. Also, if you're at all experienced in these kinds of RPGs, I recommend playing on either hard or very hard for your first playthrough (normal mode is kind of a joke).

The art is good (Except for Charlemagne), but there is very little for how much work it takes. It has gameplay mechanics that are more unique than a lot of porn games, but it is so repetitive and tedious it might as well be RPG Maker mechanics. If someone posts a save with the scenes then that might be worthwhile (the quality of the art is only reason this isn't getting one star), but the fights aren't even challenging, they're just monotonous

Fun and worth playing for its gameplay, not so much for its h-scenes. There's a nice sense of progression as you conquer the world (with good intentions) and build a pretty large harem, some moments are actually funny and the translation is virtually flawless... but it takes a long time to get to the erotic stuff and the payoff is not that great. The artwork is nice but the scenes are unimaginative and boring. There's definitely entertainment value for those who enjoy fleshed out strategy games, particularly if you're a fan of the Rance series - but it's probably a pass if you're looking for quick gratification or lots of noteworthy CGs.

You remember the first game? good remember that one and skip this.
    Boring
    tedious
    and completely unrewarding
only the music is sometime decent

Play Evenicle or Renryuu:Ascension and have a lot more fun, better stories and better games

While this is an extremely polished game, it's also nothing remarkable.

The H scenes are few and far between, with an average of one per character, and they rarely rise above stock H game artwork. The battle system is surprisingly complex but is ultimately a wasted effort as the missions are easy and delivered in mostly a straight line.

If you're looking for a casual strategy game with occasional lewd art this is it.

If you loved the last Eiyu(u) Senki, then this one is pretty much just a "definitive" version in a weird sort of way. The story is different and there are some new faces (at least, as far as I can tell) but the gameplay and writing are still what sells me on this game. Even if the H-scenes are relatively far and few between, the gameplay is enough to keep me coming back. Highly recommended if you're looking for a game with more than just H-scenes, but decent gameplay too.

Just perfect game overall. This is the kind of game I imagined I'd get access to when I finally get in deeper into H world, years ago as a teenager. Alas, turns out this kind of "standard" is still rare in a translated form.

Great gameplay, adjustable difficulty, can be total leisure but not "dumb", rich of non-H interactions, etc. Overall what you'd expect from a real complete H game, especially when you see how consistent the art style is throughout the game (which some other big titles still struggle on).

Just play it, if not for the highly polished and balanced turn-based Strategy gameplay, then for the Waifus.
If you're not familiar with the lead artist, look up Oyari Ashito ( 大槍葦人 ) on the usual doujin websites or his Twitter as well.

Honestly surprised to see this here only now. I finished this game (The JAP ver) ages ago, and I'll give a it the same personal score as i have then. Its a great turn-based strategy game with a decent story, interesting characters and very good hentai scenes.

I don't want to spoil too much, but this game is essentially Sengoku Rance but if the main character isn't an obnoxious asshole and the gameplay isn't a torturously difficult pain-in-the-ass. Its definitely worth a try, and many exotic girls are available to you. From lolis to ganguro gals to middle-aged hotties and barely-legal ladies, I'm sure you will get a kick out of this as I have.
