VN - Ren'Py - Elmwood University [Ep.2] [WickedWare]

Very good start. This was one of the few that make it into the "I can't wait for the update" pile.
For me, I keep TONS of VNs on a seperate drive. I have this one in my favorites folder for these reasons:
1. The story - It does have a few holes init so far but I skim read sometimes so I may have missed something AND it is very early so I assume things will make more sense as we get more into the story.
2. It is obviously not realistic, but not too crazy silly so it does fit within the bounds of fantasy and imagination.
3. The renders and model choices are quality. The models all have different looks and shapes and sizes. Not enough variation for my taste but there is a difference. Personally, I am VERY tired of every VN having the huge asses and absurdly large breasts. It just gets old and its like they are all made by kids. This one does have a bit of that but it stays within the limits of absurd.
4. You can tell the devs have put love into this which gives me hope that it will progress at least through most of the story. The spelling and grammar are polished, the models and lighting were taken care of and it seems like they actually are making a project they care about and not trying to cash grab.
I hope you give this one a try. If it's your thing, support the Dev. If you don't feel comfortable with funding the project, at least do a review or share it or something. We need more promising projects in the works.

It's easy to tell why this game has strong appeal to a lot of people. I think ultimately based on the first release I can tell the direction this game is going and i'm not confident that it will have lasting appeal. I hope to be proven wrong but overall this probably won't appeal to players who like even a small semblance of development and payoff. There will probably be plenty of fap-able scenes, but ultimately this game based off the start can't hope to reach the level of top games.

Pros
- models are great, and variety of attractive LIs
- potential for world-building (using that word loosely) with the character profiles and backstories and traits, powers, etc.

Cons
- as of the first release, it looks totally like a nonsensical fuck simulator where the MC is god instantly and everyone wants to fuck him no questions asked. MC has an unrealistic horse cock and that's very telling of the type of game the dev wants to create. Some will say this is a porn game and of course we play to fap, but then why even bother to pretend it's a deeper game with all these lust/love/trait stats
- i mean to back that up the synopsis on the main post doesn't hide the fact that you literally just wake up in your underwear at an all-female party, and apparently everyone is just OK with this after 2 minutes of initial shock. Quite literally right off the bat 3 girls suck your dick and one of them just fucks you in the hot tub while everyone else is in it and no one says a word. The real problem with this is not just that it's cheap, but ther'es no thrill or kink or anything, it just happens


Overall, the lack of depth and attention to thought and detail in storytelling will clearly play out in other ways, resulting also in bland sex scenes and uninspired characters.

A fantastic start. The story is simple so far, but well done, and has some clever bits of humour to it. The girls are gorgeous, and the environments don't look rushed our out of place. The perk tree is ambitious, time will tell if it errs on the side of increasing replayability or adding an unnecessary grind. Certainly a project worth keeping tabs on.

It's tough finding genuinely good quality in games like this that has the care applied in not just the adult scenes but in the story and individual character building that goes on! I really like the aspect of adding a "Talent/Skill" tree. Adds an level of depth that will allow for more replayability!

I liked the game, it has potential, good rendering, great models, interesting and fun characters, Mc will have to be a warrior for this bunch of girls for him to get, good animation, story is not too big for the first chapter but ok, the scenes sexual content I think a lot of things happened very quickly for just one chapter.

The potential of this game is incredible; it could easily become one of the best, if not the best. Idea with skill progression, the inclusion of both passive and active skills looks interesting, but it's not entirely clear how it works yet (for example, Earthquake). The female characters are well-designed and diverse, even though only about half were shown in the first episode. The animations and renders look very pleasing. I will definitely be looking forward to updates!

It has a good first episode. The quality of all the models (both scenario and characters) is very well achieved and the animations too, the premise promises a lot as to how the story can develop in future episodes, but I’m quite intrigued how the theme of the skill tree works as far as the story or mini games as these seem to be made to have changes in the story depending on which you decide to improve and make certain actions easier, This could be a double-edged sword because if as a story it is good that there are important decisions that take you to unique moments but that could complicate development because there are enough variations in things that people decide to improve first . But in general terms, it is currently quite good to be just an episode, I hope this project has more support and can continue the story that as I said already promises enough for a good continuation of the story in the future

POTENTIAL.... a word that is in abundance in this 1st chapter.. the story is strong, the characters (girls) are adorable, sexy and most of all Unique.. I instantly found a bond formed with almost all of the LI's as they were introduced so Thank god the dev made this a Harem as well as Multiple other endings possible because if this title goes the distance and i hope it does based off this 1st entry, Then this will be a HOT new fav for many in the college game market..
The harem wars card game was fun to play and yes you can skip it if you really done like mini games but this one is fun and i was having qwent flashbacks for those witcher fans..
Negative responses to this game in this review... Non as yet.. MC is likeable as a person even if his hair is questionable lol but i can look beyond that smal detail since the writing, characters, animations, humour, sex appeal and its promise to be a long standing tale spread across 3 seasons (1 school year) is enough to be a top spot on my 'cant wait for more' reading list

Adult:
"EU" is closer to porn than story-rich in the AVN spectrum. There's little story to be had (so far), and the game is set up as a puzzle to get all the lewd scenes. The women we've seen so far all have similar builds, with different facial features, hair, and clothing styles to tell them apart. Breast size seems to range between large and huge.
The MC has a dick the size of an arm. Thick and long, which can make certain scenes look uncanny. Personally, I don't find a dislocated jaw sexy, and, dev, if his dick touches her navel, he hasn't only perforated her cervix, but also her womb and intestines.


Visual:
Easily the best part of this AVN. Renders are detailed and feel alive. Characters will blink and move. Positioning is spot-on as well.


Novel:
While there's reading, most of the dialog is very mundane. The in-game profiles are immediately filled out with the women's details and backstory, leaving very little to discover by getting to know an LI.
This is ironic, since the MC's own biography section states: "Her relationship advice is to care about the little things. To take time to learn about your partner's passions and ...", but by filling out the characters' profiles, the game is robbing me of the experience of getting to learn about a (potential) partner's likes and dislikes.

Dialog choices don't impact much except for their immediate dialog and attached love/lust score or penalty. This can lead to conversations that reference things that didn't happen, or the MC saying things that contradict things the player chose.

The setting of EU's world isn't clear. In the Talents-screen we'll see supernatural traits, but we don't know if the game takes place in a supernatural world. Is the MC unique, or can anyone have supernatural traits? Does it mean that vampires and/or werewolves exist?

As far as feminist talking points go, I can't say I encountered any propaganda. One woman makes the MC promise to not rape girls, which is a bit off-putting, but you don't need to be a feminist to consider rape bad.


Gameplay:
"Elmwood University" has a mini-game called "Harem Wars". So far, it seems optional, and is implemented well.
Another gameplay feature is the MC's traits or Talents. These are perks that add extra love or lust point when certain conditions are met. (Example: more lust if the MC isn't wearing a shirt.)
While this is a nice feature, it also indicates that it's a gamification of the "got to fuck 'm all"-genre. It's not yet clear how or when Talent points are earned.


Remarks:

• The default music volume is a bit loud. At 75% is perfect for me.
• A gallery is included, episode 1 has 6 "wank bank" scenes to unlock.
• There's an "exit" button on the gallery, calling it "return" would make more sense. (All other screens do call it "Return".)
• Profile pages immediate tell us everything about someone, immediately after they're introduced.
• It would be helpful to see how many points a certain trait costs without having to click on it. Fading out traits that aren't affordable would be nice as well.
• If the supernatural is real in this game's world, it needs to be set up that way.
• I like the general interface. Usually, I'd complain about the lack of a textbox, but the chosen font has a border, which makes reading very comfortable.
• Choices are styled and are clear about the kind of reply the MC will give.

This is a really great game. The story is interesting enough to keep you playing, and the models are gorgeous.

Graphics:
The models are gorgeous and the environments are nice as well. For me 10/10

Animations:
Smooth animation there are very well done. For me 10/10

Story:
It's interesting enough to keep you playing. Personally, I like harems and pregnancies. There is no need to have a big belly.(but i liked) I think it's very hot.

Characters:
Characters are beautiful, and they have their own personalities. For me 9/10 (Suggestions: Add a story. Like why didn't the main character have a girlfriend before? Has he been bullied or is he ugly? It will make the character more Looks dimensional.)

Elmwood University is a game worth playing in my opinion. The Chelsea are hot She was fucking in front of everyone. that so hot.

You can ignore the 1 star review. Yes a couple of the girls presented here tell you they are feminists and there is a couple of lesbians who also fit the bill. But the game gives you plenty of girls to choose from. So you could just not try to score with the feminists...
- Writing is not good, but it isn't bad either.
- The models for the girls are great.
- Plenty of content for 1 episode.
- The skills path is crazy. Not that is bad, but if developed as the skill tree shows it would end up dividing in way to many outcomes. Very ambitious
- The girls have been given different personalities. And the system in place(love/lust/traits) is good. I am not saying it is all realistic and shit. But there is variety. And that is always a win in my book.
Game is a solid 4 stars IMHO.

very good introductory episode, all the characters are unique which is sometimes missing in avn's, The way the characters were introduced was great as well, the renders and scenes were also very good. really enjoyed my playthrough and very exited to see where it goes.

good characters, excellent sex scenes with mc putting his entire dick in both the animations and the creampie scenes, each scene is good in the blowjobs you have the option of cumming on your face or in your mouth looking forward to having many more scenes with several creampies and some where a lot of cum comes out I love it
