VN - Ren'Py - Elmwood University [Ep.3 Fix] [WickedWare]

Elmwood kinda had me on a rollercoaster.

See it has all the makings of a bad game. A billion love interests and general harem route stuff meaning that nobody could possibly be interesting.

But the writing actually somehow makes most of the massive cast pretty intriguing, you get caught up in the drama and it's like watching a teen romcom or something. It's kinda great. Now, because the cast is so massive, 2 or 3 just end up being pretty generic and boring, not much you can do. The rest is impressive though. But you do need to be fine with stereotypes, with the cast being so big everyone does need some sort of cliched archetype or typecast to differentiate.

Funnily enough the dialogue between characters also had me like this. The start isn't great. You can really see the dev was bullshitting out at times to get through stuff, characters felt less like themselves and more like a façade for the dev. But it gets into gear later on and more lifelike. I even found some of the jokes to be somewhat clever which is an impossibility for porn VNs.

The animations and renders could use some work. Standards are ever increasing and people are doing great work in these renpy VNs now. Standard daz crap just doesn't really cut it anymore.

Overall a solid game.

I had a great time playing Elmwood University! The models are top-notch, bringing each character to life with impressive detail. The animations are smooth and lively, which really enhances the overall feel of the game. Loved the writing so far. Loved how the characters are so diverse and well placed in the game. I always loved college themes and this one can easily be in my top 3.

The UI is good. It's great that it has its own gallery section. Some games doesn't have which I hate. Also loved the skill tree concept gives it an RPG like vibe.
Gameplay - 10/10

game has very good renders. I just played episode 1, first night so yet skill tree doesn't do much but in the future it may become a good thing. also your decisions effect the game so I know there are many people here likes branching stories, this one like one of them. If dev make a good character development and use that skill tree effectively, it can become a very vey good game. I feel like it's 4 stars now but I gave it 5, because I'm hoping it will become a 5 star one...

Edit:I played episode2&3. My guess was right it's a 5 star game. Also forget about mentioning dialogs, there are good written fun dialogs too. my only disapointment about game is dev so many times used "for scientific purposes"... he could use "for academic purposes" we were on the verge of greatness, we were this close...

This is exactly what I want to see in a porn game- there are plenty of hot scenes, and the dialog in between is actually engaging. Of course the situations are implausible, as with any game in this genre, but they are just plausible enough to amp up the heat and get you invested. The writing is good, the models are attractive, and there's even a skill system (although I had the most fun by cheating my way to max skills)- all in all a very high quality game. Looking forward to seeing more!

One of the best games I've played. Can't wait to see what future will bring for this project. Choices really matters, card mini game is fun and quite hard, girls are pretty (Saki my beloved) and scenes are pretty good although some good sexy voice acting would make it even better, but I guess this is still good enough

Artwork/Animations - 10/5

This is easily some of the most amazing artwork I've ever seen in a Ren'Py game (or any, for that matter). The models are absolutely stunning, and the animations are perfect and plentiful. Game gets 5 stars for that alone, seriously.

Storyline/Dialogue - 5/5

A very fun story. The dev has a great sense of humor, and it shows. I can tell it's probably going to branch a bit as it goes on, and I am here for it. Dialogue is well written too. MC and girls have their own personalities, quirks, etc. Just very well written and fleshed out so far. I admit there are games out there where I hold down the skip button. I am happy to say this is not one of them. It's worth paying attention.

Gameplay/UI - 5/5

So one of the things I love about this game is you have the option to choose the girls you want without being forced into one path. While there are some good games out there, I, personally, am not a fan of games that force you to choose a girl and shut the path down of another. Don't get me wrong; I get that games out there are premised on that, and that's fine. But I digress. The options here are plentiful, and what you choose matters. The dev even added an awesome skill point system that SUPER enriches the dialogue and play experience. Just, super well done on the gameplay. It's so fun and engaging.

I look forward to continuing to follow this game. It is just so well done, and I pray mightily that it continues. It deserves a TON of support!

Honestly, outside of this game looking good, I just don't see much in the way of redeeming qualities to this game.

There is the briefest attempt at starting a storyline at the start of things and then it is immediately blasted away in favor of an absolutely absurd number of sex scenes with basically half the roster of main girls in the very first update. The main character barely has to say a word to the majority of girls in this game before he's thrusting his dick into at least one of their holes and they've met the man of the dreams. It just further devolves into nonsense with each new update, adding more girls into the orbit of the main character's massive dick and drawn to it so fast you'd think it's magnetized. All the while, any veneer of storytelling is completely stripped away with more and more absurd unconnected moments.

If all you want are some adequate sex scenes and some good-looking models, this one will certainly provide that. For anyone looking for anything remotely deeper, find something else.

This is easily one of the best AVN I've ever played. Not only is it great fun, humorous, sexy and a very well designed RPG, but the characters, interactions and situations you get into are legendary.

I can't remember the last time I chortled with glee while playing a game. It is outrageous at times, but I mean that in a good way because it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously but neither is it silly or overly whimsical. The world needs people like Chelsea, the twins, Selina, Saki, Katie, Dr. Riley, Lydia and Taylor. The cutest LI, IMO, is a total bitch so far. I think we all know what she needs to turn that banana upside down...a huge vitamin D injection will sort her out. ;D

It is still early days for this game, but it is already epic in my opinion. Great job dev!!

I enjoyed the game but there are just a few things that could be improved. Then again it hasn't been out for a year yet, so it is still in the works. There are a few misspelled words but that's not much of a problem. The animation could be worked on a little bit.

I liked how the artist or whoever made the scenes added a little bit of the girls moaning at some parts. I wished it was longer and such but I know there are reasons why it is the way it is.

I honestly give this game/story an 8/10. I look forward to seeing what is added/updated to it in the future.

Very well-done college porn game. I think it checks all the required checkboxes for a 5-star game: varied interesting LIs, attractive models and renders, well-animated sex scenes with choices, foreplay, and different sexual "paths" or "flavors" depending on the LI, crisp and well-designed UI, succinct to-the-point but still realistic dialogue, clear gameplay, funny.

Some things elevate this game above most other college h-games though:

• There are 5 sex scenes on day 1, with 2 being actual sex, and they're all with main LIs. College girls are actually dtf?! Amazing.
• Not all the girls are dtf though. Different LIs look like they'll have different needs and relationship paths, fitting their personalities rather than having characters written around plot timings.
• Shockingly realistic intro psych college content. Maybe a little accelerated - probably not talking about research methods or structuralism or Milgram on Day 2 of college - but dev definitely seems to have familiarity with college, including the intricacies of UK colleges and their course model. Would be nice for the class material to tie into the game plot in some way, but it's nice for the MC not to be in "college" taking remedial HS English and Math classes for once.
• Very interesting mechanical integration of the LI's personalities. Each LI has 2 traits that broadly affect how their love and lust scores work, and thus mechanically represent their personalities and attractions. The "rebel" character has traits that prevent the player from effectively raising her love and lust scores, unless they're breaking a rule. The "good student" character gains more love when talking about school stuff and loses love when you interrupt her work. These could just be done in dialogue, but putting them on a stats screen for players gamifies the LI's personalities and tells the player how to play the game. A really effective, interesting, design choice.
• Another interesting mechanic: going through all the positions and options in sex scenes cause the LIs to orgasm and thus award points. Nice to reward the player for thoroughness and a touch of realism.
• The game is quite funny and in clever ways, playing with narrative. There's a planking competition where the player is put in the MC's head and what they're feeling is exaggerated into absurdity. There's a great two-joke sequence first with Chelsea gossiping to the entire campus about the MC's penis and his penis size keeps growing as she gossips - her profile of course says that she's a gossip, but to hit the player with it at the start of day 2 with how much of a gossip that meant subverts the player's expectations while letting them in on the joke at the same time. It's followed by Chelsea later explaining why the MC's penis size kept growing in her gossip: she's adjusting for the girl's penis size expectations, depending on if the girl has had sex and watches porn or not. She's in econ, so she's adjusting for the girl's "dickometer" like she would inflation. A brilliant joke-within-a-joke, tied into known character traits, and unfolded as a one-two punch over 2 separate episodes. Our dev is a comedian, folks.
• A skill tree for the MC. More on this later.
• LESBIANS?! In a relationship?!! In a male harem h-game?!!! They're listed as LIs so we'll probably fuck them later, but cool to see. Also, they're the the only 2 characters on the LI screen who are looking at each other, rather than dead center. Very nice detail that will go unobserved by most. Am curious to see if they'll be changed to "look at" the player later in the game.

Some negatives, as expected for any game:

• Some characters are a little tropey. "Bad girl rebel," "good girl nerd," "no nonsense law student", "quirky magic pixie Japanese girl," "quiet bullied girl helped by the MC in HS." Necessary for the trait mechanic and to quickly introduce 18 LIs but hopefully there is more depth in each character.
• A few sequences run too long. The cliche "truth or dare" game isn't very spicy or interesting and I wanted to skip through it. The Saki recollection sequence too ran a little long and felt padded to be extra-wacky with unfunny jokes that took away from the actually funny jokes.
• Some decision points in the game aren't signposted well. A minor one is why asking the prof the 4th question in her office hours reduces her love instead of increases - maybe she's annoyed at all the questions? But the question seemed pretty normal and the player gets no feedback about it before or after. The twins getting upset over the Paris date one is especially weird though, to have an LI just cut off this early due to some reasons not really given to the player in advance. Maybe realistic but a strange counterintuitive choice in an porn game.
• The cumdrunk skill just loops the same sex scene. Nothing changes the second time around, it's copy paste in the code, so it's pointless and even tedious instead of rewarding.
• The card minigame is a little dull and RNG. Not sure what the reward for it is. The rockpaperscissors to start it really needs to run faster and not tie over and over again.

It's still early days though so some questions / concerns:

• How much do these love / lust points and their bonuses matter? The game mechanics are interesting but they won't matter if the overall system is broken or imbalanced, and some of the numbers being used are a little worrying.
• The skills are numerous. We already see some signs that some are way more useful and interesting than others. So far the active ones are integrated through the game but can the dev keep integrating them throughout the game in interesting and rewarding ways, because the additional work is probably substantial.
• There's a bunch of additional stats and tracking the game is doing and it's not clear why. The MC has 5 personality traits but we don't know how much they impact the game. Also a lot of the game's skills are directed towards giving LI orgasms, but all that does is increase their love by 2. Hard to see how all these mechanics are going to be developed and mesh together well at the end.
• That's definitely not 9 inches. But maybe my dickometer is off too.

One last note: I love how Chelsea, Ella, Lydia, and Selina are slutty (at least, they suck / fuck the MC within minutes of meeting), self-aware that they're slutty, and open about their sluttiness, but in totally different ways and for distinct reasons. Take note other devs: "slutty" is not a personality by itself.

This is one of my favorites so far. The LIs are gorgeous and there are many of them. The sex scenes are pretty frequent. The writing has been entertaining. And there is a variety of fetishes present/planned.

[Ep3] You are a freshman at Elmwood University, a college in the UK. On your first day on campus, you wake at a student's home party with no knowledge of how you got there and no clothing but your briefs! Things work out well, since the party hosts hot cheerleaders who are obsessed with how massive your cock is. A typical college day in the UK!

This game wastes no time in providing the player with sexual content and beautiful women to flirt with. The UI is unique and well designed, the women are all stunning (with some unique looking vaginas, not something you see very often in these games), and the game rewards you for being a pervert! Sex scenes always feature multiple positions and cumshot options, even for a simple blowjob, and the animations are of a great quality. The porn in this porn game is worth clicking for!

The story is, so far, average. The plot involves trying to figure out what happened on your first day that you can't remember, preparing for your psychology classes, and banging hot chicks. The characters have unique quirks, but all are smitten with the MC and worship his cock rather quickly. If you're looking for realistic relationships and a dating simulator, this game isn't for you. That said, there are some women who seem to be a slower burn and clearly want a more romantic relationship. Not every character is just looking to fuck. All in all, the characters are fun to socialize with and are written well enough that you don't feel the need to skip dialogue.

The game features a minigame in the form of a card game. It is entirely optional, but beating players earns you new cards which make future games easier to win. The game is simple and enjoyable, but not balanced in the beginning. You play against people with much better cards than you, so the vast majority of your duels will end in DRAWS or LOSSES. This should be addressed somewhat in the future. (Also beating the opponent in Ep 3 didn't give me a new card! Not Okay!!!)

The downside to this game is its perk system. I used a cheat mod, so I can't comment on how well it is balanced, but there are perks you can earn as you 'level up' your character. This allows for extra content, such as girls being cum addicts or taking cum selfies, or earning more relationship points during a kiss. The perks are fun and entertaining, but without a cheat mod I fear there will be a point where the average player won't be able to see a lot of content because they lack perks, or didn't use relationship boosting perks early in the game and are hopelessly locked out of content requiring high relationship points down the road. I hate when authors write systems or branching paths that limits the content you can see in a single playthough.

In summary: the renders and women are beautiful and sexy. The game has a great focus on sexual content. The story is okay but entertaining and keeps your attention without turning into a click fest. And the UI and some elements of the game are unique and clearly the result of lots of love and attention from the developer. A great game!

I just started playing the game and i'm not even done in episode 1. But so far the game did not dissapoint me. In terms of girls design I can say that they have different variety. The story also has the system stat managing which is quite unique in the game. Right now my verdict is 4⭐ out of 5. My rating might change in the future defending on the quality of the episode release.

Such a great game, with a lot of content in it already! I love the skill tree as it actually impacts the gameplay from the get go! Can't wait to see more of this game when the new updates start rolling out.

Visuals are great (one the best i have seen actually) and the story is nice with some mystery and humor (i had a few good chuckles with this VN).

This is one of the best games on here. The skill points system seems like it will be a lot of fun - it already does so much in the early content. The scenes are outstanding, can't wait to see how things progress. Great stuff.

I didn't expect it to be that good. I mean, it's college theme AVN with lots of LI and sex scenes, there are a lot of those here, but damn this one is actually feel fresh. The story is quite interesting, the characters are diverse, unique, and not one dimensional.

This is also quite ambitious, there are a lot of things planned and I can see how great this game would be if the dev actually managed to implement it all.

the skill system is actually crucial and not just a decoration, there are scenes and dialogues that only appear if you have some certain skills. I guess you will need the mod to unlock all the skills if you're confused on which skill to get.

Conclusion: Awesome game, definitely on my top 5 right now, can't wait for more.
