VN - Ren'Py - Elmwood University [Ep.4 Gold] [WickedWare]

Great game. Girls act distinctly from one another and have differentiating personalities. models look good and dialogue is good except for the ocassional typo. the lectures are actually insightful with actual things you can learn such as the emu war from history and the psychology topics. LI progression is basically if you dont pick the flirty option enough or have enough points you will not see the girl again and so it is possible to not have any content at all or not go through any characters route. Girls do seem to jump the gun and just get straight to banging the mc but in my opinion sometimes you just want a game that go straight to the action instead of dragging things on for 3 dates and 5 fetch quests justs to see someone naked and then cock blocked. One of the S or A tier games in the guy in college setting.

There's not a whole lot to complain about with this game if you accept it for what it is.

Yes, there are shallow characters who immediately jump on the MC in order to provide early content. Yes, there's some porn logic - you very obviously fuck someone you just meet in a hot tub and no one, even the more prudish characters present say anything. Yes, you get some inexplicable mind powers.

But all of that is optional, and even if you don't avoid it, there are some endearingly weird and interesting characters with good potential hiding behind it all. This game does choices as good or better than any other I've played. They're well thought out, you don't need a completely separate route for every character, it doesn't waste your time with pointless sandbox mechanics, and it foreshadows some super consequential choices that you can make later.

In my view this game has great content for both of the biggest subsets of AVN players - people who want a fun quick fap with some choices, and people who want a slower burn with good character development.

The renders are good, the animations are excellent, the characters are good looking and unique, the writing is top notch, and it immediately jumped into the top 5 of my most anticipated updates. Highly recommended.

I like the settings, the girls, the skill trees. What remains to be seen is consistency in the future updates and episodes. Because a good start may well give a bad game.

All in all, currently the game is very fun, with many topics approached and girls are so different in their own circles that it's good.

Just finished EP4 Gold and damn, this is 5/5 territory easy. Elmwood University has some of the hottest, most unique girls I’ve seen in ages – every LI feels different in looks, personality, and even downstairs details (yeah, the dev actually varies that stuff, rare W). Renders and animations are top-tier, the frat party in ep4 is pure chaos perfection, and the writing keeps cracking me up while still making me care about the cast. Skill/perk system adds real replay value without being a nightmare, and the mystery underneath is starting to hook me hard.

Yeah there’s a little grind if you wanna max everything and the card minigame isn’t everyone’s thing (just skip it, no big deal), but those are tiny nitpicks next to how fun and sexy this ride is. If you love college AVNs with humor, branches, and straight fire scenes, drop everything and play this now – you’ll thank me later. Can’t wait for more!

At the moment I'd say that this is my favorite game on this site. It's everything that adult visual novel can be: a wide range of love interests, lots of branches (a very high replay value), an excellent plot and generally very high quality.

The fraternity party scene in Episode 4 is perfect, I can't wait for the game to continue. I also really like that there's a limited amount of points for perks, you can try different builds and see how it affects the gameplay.

At the moment I don't really have much constructive criticism about the game. Named saves would be nice and in replays you should be able to select the perks. But those are very minor improvement items, easily still 5 stars.

EP4 Gold

This is an absolute gem!

The story is well written and never dull. The funny lines are humorous, the lines when in classes are well thought off, it felt studied and accurate. I don't really know since I have no background on their courses.

The female characters are awesome, their background, personalities, quirks, qualities, and everything else differentiates them from each other adding uniqueness. They are also beautifully designed. I am really having a hard time choosing which female character is my favorite.

The MC and other male characters. The MC and his skills are awesome, not extremely weak or extremely strong, he's got a nice balance on his personality. The other males are named funny, but who cares, I don't.

My current favorite character is Steven. We look alike (check my avatar). Goats are the GOAT.

Kudos to Wicked. Solid 5 Stars!

Up to Ep4 it is pretty great. Not super deep or anything, but frequently funny. Lot of good LIs. It's implied in the end of the current episode you have to pick a route, but hopefully not doesn't go in that direction and stays a game where you can see all the content in one playthrough.

really good and funny AVN, by the time of my review(EP 4 gold) it only lacks content(of course) and maybe some improvements in the skill point side, but other than that its a really solid game, in the future it might be one of the best university type games, lets see where the dev leads this!

A really good AVN that doesn't tie you to relationships (yet) and gives you more freedom that most over AVNs
In hindsight that's what most people want in college, some fun adventures without a serious relationship.
The characters are hot and engaging and always makes you want more, looking forward to what the dev has in store for us.

Nice VN with good visuals and a good amount of pretty girls.

Sex scenes are good for the moment with a bit of variety.

Story is really humorous and fun. I much prefer that to a lot of those gloomy VNs that are on here.

Its a really good start of a story, as of chapter 4, but it hasn't really got going yet. I really think the background story needs to be the focus in chapter 5, as most of the characters are well established and it needs to move on to hook us in. There are hints as to where its going but I'm really interested to see if the dev will nail it and the story will be awesome and one of the best VN or if it's just going to look pretty and not get there. This could end up a 3 or a 5 star depending on what happens next in the story.

So far the characters are well written with beautiful visuals however its a little too complicated to make it a 5 star VN. The issue is that the choices aren't that obvious or natural, generally you have to work out what you want to see rather than what you would do in the characters place. If you like that that's fine and you will probably love this however if you prefer just to read and lets you decisions flow naturally, you will likely miss out on lots of scenes and your fully reliant on the background story for enjoyment and its the weakest part of the VN so far. The alternative is to use the excellent walkthrough but that also reduces the immersion. Simpler is sometimes better.

The visuals are excellent with a great choice of LI's although you can miss out on some LI's, depending if you miss an option. There's is a great range of characters personalities with some that you just have to love. The emotional scenes are excellent with great variety and good animations. The minigame is boring but you can skip it, so its no problem.

Hands down my favorite VN right now.

Hottest animations you will ever see. Literally the game is worth playing just to see those amazing animations lol.

Although it doesn't have a peak story (yet). It's still interesting enough to hold your attention.

Dialogue is very well written and feels enjoyable enough where you actually care about what the characters are saying.

5/5 game for me and cannot wait for next update

Very enjoyable game, and really well done. Wide array of characters, beautiful artwork, and even the mini-games are challenging but fun. The writing is clean, and plenty of humor sprinkled in as well. There seems to be a mystery plot line running underneath it as well, which adds nicely. Great stuff!

Wonderful game! It's only a '4' because I don't give out '5's unless it is an earth-shattering blend of profound, ultra-lustful, can't-put-it-down story-driven gold. Which this is not. BUT It's really, really FUN. And funny, my God, I haven't laughed out loud playing a game for a good while. And it's character/story-driven humor, the best kind.
I feel awful that I kept getting the name of another [college/uni] game name confused with this one -- but really, this one is SO much more everything. Humor, UI, schoolwise lore & hierarchies.... And even with a couple years under the belt, it's still fresh IMO. I appreciate this game, truly. It's got heart. Love that UK voice! Mad-sexy, yeh?? Thanks, dev!
ps -- and you know what? The all-out sex freedom -- not talkin about hippy-dippy 'free love', but the actual ability to discuss shit like sex like it's actually, um, a part of nature -- might have something to do with why western civilization has such a hard time confusing its violence with its reproducto stuff. Why do we have to learn only through sex? Or war, I guess... (hint: JuChr organized religion) *sigh*

This is one of the more amazing games are in this page, the amount of content with the three skill gives,i love the designs of the characters, thats is a visual novel over the fucking sandbox, and how hot the sex scenes are very detail with the expression and dialogue, i recomend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Elmwood University is a Must-Play!

I have listened to a lot of AVNs on here but I must say Elmwood University is one of my favorites. I was hooked on the quality of the writing ever since the first update. The narrative does not read as a hurry up, hurriedly--in fact, it allows the characters space to breathe and grow. You learn them on a deep level, and the decisions become serious.

The renders are sharp and refined visually, but are very detailed. The animation is fluid and contributes to the immersion. The girls themselves are different and distinct in personality (and looks) and this makes it interesting no matter what direction one chooses.

The thing that struck me most of all is the balance: there is humor, there is drama, there is romance, there is, of course, plenty of adult content, but none of the elements feels like it overwhelms the others. The dev obviously dedicated much passion to this project and it reflects in each update.

Elmwood University should be on the first list of those, who want a game that is finely written, has good quality graphics, and the actors are people whom you will really care about. Easily a 5/5 for me.

I really like this visual novel. Elmwood University starts off great, and with three chapters already released, it offers quite a bit of gameplay.

The models and lewd scenes are hot and well-animated. There’s also some humor, which I really enjoy—though that might be subjective.

It features a school setting, which I appreciate. However, the skill system is what makes this AVN stand out compared to others. There’s also a card minigame, which I don’t like as much, but you don’t have to play it to progress through the story.

I’m really looking forward to the next chapters of this AVN!

This game is pretty much a just a (dull) lewd scenes player

From a technical sense, it's fine. Renders are fine. The LIs' models are okay. The mini-game is fine. The branching is okay. The UI is okay.

But for a VN, there are much more important things.
- One is the story. What story? This game doesn't have a story. It barely even pretends to try. This is just lazy.
- The LIs are just tropes. They are really just there for the lewd scenes. They don't feel like real people or even characters. They more like mannequins who have dialogues. The relationship building with them feels inorganic and unsatisfying.
- Realism is thrown out of the windows. Usually, that happens because it is needed narrative-wise, but in this game, it just for pandering sake.
- The animations are okay but the lewd scenes are still dull, because the LIs are uninteresting. The framing and context for these scenes just makes them boring. Like "Hey, let's fuck". No proper build-up or anything. They lacks any sauce that make AVNs scenes hot.
- This is a college VN, but it barely feels like it's set in a college, because the world-building is poor.

- There's a couple of RPG elements in this game like skill points, but they don't serve the story or the game at all.

[Ep.3 Fix]

I know college theme for AVN is the most basic one but personally I love it if there is some interesting story behind. Unfortunately that's not a case here...

This is the classic "college guy with magic dick" theme and nothing more. Spoilers ahead although "spoilers" suggest there is some kind of story to reveal and there is not...

1. Game starts as half-naked MC wakes up in hot feminists sorority's house on his first day at the college
2. MC is virgin who never even kissed any girl but has enormous dick.
3. "Caring" and "bosy" girls decided MC can stay in there (in the underwear) for the "party" (feminists'/girls only) downstairs
4. Downstairs we meet 3 cheerleaders (sweet one, sluty one and bosy one) and they all want to be our first kiss girl
5. All 3 of them are making flexibility competition on MC's dick
6. 5 min later one of them is already giving MC blowjob
7. Couple minutes later second and third one also give us a blowjob
8. In the meantime we also kiss another stranger girl and have wild sex with readhaired nympho
9. After that it's time for bathtub where we have another sex, this time with sluty cheerleader (from previous points)
10. "Party" is over and we can walk the "sweet" cheerleader home where we have sex...

And all of this happens in like first 15min of the game... You get the idea what kind of game is it now? Dialogues are unrealistic and simply stupid, wet dream of 13 yo guy, nothing more. They all like you, find you funny sweet and handsome, you don't even have to try... Dialogue options are like be nice-flirty/be neutral/be rude-stupid in an obvious way.

In the next few days you just meet new girls who are eager to fuck with you and most of them actually do and if they don't then they will in next update. There is no plot, at least no interest one, just filler dialogues to justify more lewd scenes.

Renders are good. I love the whole RPG concept with abilities, codex/notes is also top tier but it's usage so far... debatable.

TLDR:
Nice renders, okayish sex scenes, no plot, bad dialogues/writing. Good enough for fap but nothing more. Average.
