VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Emma In the Library [v1.0] [AceX Game Studio]

This is a really good and short game. I liked it better than the game with Valerie. The quiz game is fine. The questions are hard, but I enjoy the mechanic. I liked that I got caught cheating and had to start over.

Only problem was that I got the bug where animations don't loop. I tried resizing the screen and stuff and it didn't help. Then while I had the game open and was looking for solutions the animations suddenly started working. Very strange.

This game made me excited for the next games by Ace. The animations have gotten so much better since the first game with Valerie.

If you're into quizzes then this short game might be for you. There's a little bit of trial and error to complete everything but I enjoyed the payoff. The character model is cute and the animations were nice as well.

I really wanted to like this game, but...

+ Emma is smart & beautiful (and I agree with her: Knowledge is sexy).
+ Hot animations and lewd scenes
+ Nice music, sound effects and voice work

o Render quality (varying between high and low res, occasional breast clothing morph and clipping issues).
o Quiz is both interesting and way too specific.

- Confusing(ly worded) intro (I only understood that the MC lost some kind of bet?).
- Annoying free roam / "collect all boni" part.
- Monster dick
- I expected Emma to cite literature while having sex with her.
- Weird ending (WTF?)
- Black font on white text box (I prefer it the other way round).
- Missing "quit game" option
- Some typos

I'm really torn on Emma in the Library.
On the one hand I'd like to applaud the dev for having the balls to release such a specific game to the educationally alienated crowd (that's easily worth 4 stars) - on the other hand the "collect all boni" part annoyed me so much (2 stars) that I simply can't award more than 3 stars overall.

Excellent minigame with butter-smooth animations from Ace_X. There are a lot of very hot scenes with the beautiful Emma. I'd like to see her cute ass in other games too. Do not miss to search all of her photos to get the hottest bonus!

No real story or background it's more like a mini story

I would really have liked to rate it 5 stars like the other two games from Ace_X
But Ace, if you're reading,
- making a difficult game is okay
- preventing rollback exploit is okay (it is actually well thought )

But sincerely when you get through all the questions succesfully (which IMO is more than hard enough especially for us non-native english speakers) and you find you only got two bonus out of the five... It feels fucking unfair

What's even more unfair is that you don't even get a hint on how to get those spare bonus

Sorry man I love your work, i like when it's fairly hard and grindy but i feel this is simply too much

By now most of the complainer have a walk-trough for the game and have an easy way to complete it, the game is short has few paths and unless you choose the correct answers you get a quick game over.

The trap for those of us who like to cheat by backtracking was good if a little annoying, I was forced to play fair for a change and it was fine with me.

Having to look for the answers with google was interesting actually, since I did got a few decent books to read and got to know some thing's I dint knew before but I'm a nerd like that.

Emma is really hot, I love the freckles, the glasses, the dirt-blond hair her body... I knew she was a succubus because of previous games.

The Models where really good, not over the top or exaggerated, the pictures where also excellent, and the story simple and even predictable, just a quick enjoy a little challenging teasing and fap away.

if anything my only complaint is that to me this was a little too short and I hope this was a little longer or we get the chance the visit Emma the sexy Literarian once again.

To start off, I haven't played any other Ace_X games, so I can't really compare with anything else.

If you are looking for a quick fap, you'll find it, however you gotta work for it and not cheat using the rollback in Ren'Py. If you just want fap material, better off using unren for the pictures.

Story/Originality: Doesn’t really have a story behind it other than you the mc playing a quiz game with Emma. However, I don’t mind this since it fills that up with literature facts/information.
Admittedly people that don’t like literature won’t like this game at all.

Renders/Animation: Both are well done.

The amount of content: The game itself is short, but the renders at the end make up for it, including the ones you find on your phone and in your bag.

Like I’ve stated before, I had fun and had to Google a couple of the answers, but I also enjoy reading/literature, so I don’t mind games like these.

I only put 2 stars on this game because I played Ace's previous games and I loved them, but the truth is that it deserves 1.

The playing system is boring and it MAKES you have to answer about stuff that you probably don't care.
I hate the fact that he's trying to tell us how we should or not cheat, not allowing rollback, and by doing so the game got bugged, so you may have to quit and reopen the game every time you lose.

This is a simple 'short' porn game and I have little time to watch or play porn, so it doesn't make any sense this kind of playing system.

Time consuming game, and annoying. 4 x New game (load game) i fail every time. 18 - 19 century, poetry, Shakespeare, etc = fail. ...

The CG stills are very nice. The animations are pretty decent. The art style is great.

Unfortunately, between punishing you for using intended mechanics, forcing you to either save-load or Google for 10 minutes, and locking scenes behind arbitrary and undefined goals, I can only recommend you don't waste your time with this game. Even if you go through the trouble of unlocking everything, the rewards is hardly worth it.

Art's nice, game's tedious. I'm sure for an english major they'll feel like their time spent reading a ton of stories for university was time well spent. Personally I don't want to replay a boring study session or google the answers because rewinding isn't allowed. There's barely any story and the game basically exists for the erotic stuff, which isn't worth the effort.

Short and sweet, with excellent animations. Takes a few tries to get the perfect ending, and it's worth the effort. AceX has done it again! The Succubi have come (and so will you).

Val > Emma, because books are kinda boring.
