VN - Unity - Completed - EmyLiveShow: S&M story [Final] [Team Emily]

This game finds itself in a bit of no-mans land: vanilla players won't really know what to do with it, while those who come hoping for some actual BDSM will leave thoroughly dissatisfied. This is basically S&M-lite-lite. Problems are compounded by there being no way to save (leading to me restarting and replaying for a desired outcome literally dozens of times - once I found out which choice does what) and the themes involved not being used for anything much - a missing person investigation for example gets an early and very unsatisfying conclusion. Basically this is what a Disney family-friendly "S&M" ride would look like, if Disney did that sort of thing. Oh, and did I mention ALL endings end with you parting ways with the girls...? Well, I hope you weren't seeing them as LI...

I like the game. The art is no doubt really good. The translation should probably be marked as MTL cus its quite bad (Please people, use deepL instead of google, its a fair bit better. Not perfect, but not nearly as wonky)


Besides the MTL, I'd say my biggest complaint is the fetishes go pretty hard and I am really into them, but the game doesn't have the CGs for them. Like there is so many hot scenes that you're reading through forever on basically a pretty blank/boring background scene while some really hot things are going on, that honestly deserve to have CGs.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its a text base game, but like 70% of the scenes is long periods of texts with no CGs to accompany it when there could've been.

I can't do 1/2 stars, my rating would be 3 1/2, but I'll go ahead and bump it to 4 cus the art is pretty great. Solid 4 if they switch from google to DeepL for translations in the future. 5 star if they add more CGs for things that really deserved them.

Choices will determine if you're pursuing M or S route, and they're pretty straightforward. Doing submissive things will earn you M points and will attract vampire's attention which is the game's domme. You gain S/dominant points by doing dominant, assertive, controlling things instead and you will get to play with the cat for your trouble. Also interesting how you can choose your own gender in this game, there clearly are some differences in the scenes for both, but probably to a very light degree.

Overall pretty fun, but the scenes are mostly text-based, with scattered CGs complementing them. Still, I'm enjoying it. There's also some underlying... "plot" but as you can expect it's not really the core of the game. The characters themselves are carrying the game, and also are acting as porn vtubers online, so if you're into that you can check them out. The game might be one big advertising scheme lol.

Give it a shot if you like bdsm, you will probably enjoy at least some of it.

I was really intrigued by the art and didn't see any feedback so I tried to speedrun a few times to give my initial thoughts. I could be really off base here and am happy to change my review from more plays/other viewpoints.

While it baits you in with great art and great graphic design (the opening screen is fantastic) you quickly realize that the entire "game" consists of unlocking 35 pictures. (That includes the character standing models and yes - that means the preview photos alone are about 20% of the content)

Expect to click a TON between each decision and they are almost a coin flip of if it will be S or M stat. I was only about 60% accurate in what outcome I guessed they would be.

I couldn't really review the actual writing because I quickly lose interest when there is such a low density of decisions per lines of text. Might be for some, but not for me.
